Meet the Business Owner

Matt F.

Business Owner

Matt is the owner of Fine Construction. He holds a B.S. degree in Environmental Resource Science and a minor in Hydrology from the University of California at Davis. While in college, Matt began spending summers as a carpenter in Tahoe. After graduating from college, Matt worked as an Environmental Consultant in Sacramento. He quickly realized his passion was with building so he traded the cubicle for a tool belt. His work as a carpenter with prestigious remodeling companies in Sacramento and Boulder, CO gave Matt a solid foundation of experience and knowledge.

After moving to Truckee, CA, Matt started Matt Fine Construction, which became Fine Construction. His goal is to build a reputable remodeling company known for quality craftsmanship and dedicated employees based in the Truckee-​North Tahoe region. Matt works directly on all projects from the initial estimate to the final punch-​list.

Matt also enjoys running, skiing, kayaking, baking artisan breads, and gardening.
