History

Established in 1998.

Coldwell Banker® was founded in 1906 when Colbert Coldwell, a young real estate sales associate, observed families trying to piece their lives together following the disastrous San Francisco earthquake.

Disapproving of sales associates who acquired property from vulnerable sellers and then resold it at huge profits, and seeing a need for honest, knowledgeable real estate professionals, he formed his own company.

Coldwell Banker has entered its second century in real estate and continues to offer clients a level of service and resources of which Colbert Coldwell and his partner Benjamin Banker would be proud.

Jane moved to Truckee from the Bay Area in 1998 to begin her Real Estate career with Mentor, Christy Curtis. 1998 was a time of limited computers, handwritten forms, and gluing photos onto paper to create flyers. Jane excelled in solving problems and navigating the ever-​changing real estate industry through computers, conferences, and education.

Fast forward to the Millennium where Jane and Christy have consistently been the #1 Coldwell Banker sales team for the Sacramento-​Tahoe region as well as ranking in the Top 1% nationally. These achievements do not come without a very strong work ethic and dedication to their clients. But all work and no play makes Jane a dull Realtor, so don’t expect her to be in the office on a fresh powder day.

Real Estate is an ever changing business and Jane never stops learning. Her motivation to always be on the «cutting edge», is the reason her clients rave about her exceptional knowledge and service. Her working style is to educate clients so
