Aaron Brother’s is owned by Michael’s, so if you were thinking that you were making a better choice by going to Aaron Brothers rather than Michael’s…your wrong.
The person helping you has no design experience, does not know how to handle art, and only knows about framing through Aaron Brothers/​Michael’s brief training program, and is probably still in high school.
I went to the Aaron Brother’s on Broadway, and I have been to this location. I had a print with mostly beige and green and a square inch of red. He choose a red mat, really more like hot pink. And told me to pick out a frame I liked. How is this professional help? I wasn’t even given an option of glass, they automatically calculated the most expensive, (Michael’s manufacture Museum glass). So the total cost for one mat a metal frame and «museum» glass $ 360…oh and that’s with the 60% off.
Oh a side note, in New York Michael’s was actually sued for false sales/​coupons. They make you believe you are getting such a great deal when in fact they hike up cost to be able to do %60 off coupons, and you end up paying MORE, yes MORE then you would at a local frame shop.
GO to local frame shops for the best quality and service from someone who has been framing for longer then 5 weeks.

I’ve been an Aaron Bros fan for years. I love their selection and the prices are right. The staff is incredibly helpful. I have been twice in the last month because I have had lots of framing needs. I found the perfect frames for my prints on my last two visits and left feeling super pleased. On both of my recent visits, I’ve asked for assistance from the employees and they will measure your art (if needed), help you find good color choices of mats/​frames and lead you to the size of frames you need. On my last visit, I had some questions regarding framing a pastel and the sales assistant took her time to help me find great frame choices. It was during my favorite sale time, «buy one frame and recieve the 2^nd for a penny». I needed two new frames and saved $ 17 with this sale. This particular sale occurs twice a year but there are lots of great sales and coupons available throughout the year. If you need a fantastic frame or some special piece of art, photo, diploma, etc. framed… I would absolutely recommend Aaron Brothers.

I dropped off a large panorama picture to be framed right smack in the middle of the holiday crush. This store, like pretty much every other retailer, gets slammed around the holidays. I was told when I dropped the picture off that it would be ready for pickup on a Monday a little over a week after dropping it off… I called the day before it was supposed to be ready for pickup to see whether it might be done a day early because the piece was going in my office and it’s much less annoying to swing a hammer on a Sunday when no one is there.
I called and spoke with a very friendly employee who *could* have been a bit short on the phone and *could* have shown the sort of holiday burnout I’d likely show if I had to deal with holiday shoppers all day but she didn’t. She explained that they had tons of framing orders they were working and that getting the piece a day early may not be possible… BUT, she put me on hold and spoke with their framing specialist who said it’d be possible to finish the framing a day early. Less than two hours later I get a call saying the piece is ready to be picked up. Impressive.
Not only did the staff go above and beyond at the most difficult time of the year but the finished product I received was just awesome.
A lesser group of employees wouldn’t be so accommodating and wouldn’t produce the same sort of quality finished product.

When my creative mojo is flowing and I want to matte and frame my digital photos, this is the place I visit. They have a great selection of frame and matte colors and sizes from which to choose. Do-​it-​yourself or pay them for a really beautiful, professional job. Prices are fair and if you sign up for their online notices, you can get lots of discount coupons.
The staff is helpful and knowledgeable in all areas of preserving and displaying artwork.
I’ve used them for years and look forward to using them in the years to come.
