Alan’s Shoe House

My boyfriend just bought a pair of shoes here. Salesperson (Maxx) was very knowledgable and took the time to make sure the shoes fit correctly and were exactly what he needed.

I went to this location only to be told the shoe brand I wanted was only available at the speedway location. Of 4 styles I picked, only one was available in my size. The staff did offer to order what I wanted, but since I drove more than 70 miles, I declined. I bought the ones in my size available, but will order direct from alegria from now on. Better prices and no waiting to be noticed/​helped. I am glad this store exists, and would go there for other brands, but didn’t leave satisfied.

Walked in and the one male employee on the floor didn’t acknowledge me (guess that’s good customer service for the person he was intently helping). I pick up the shoe I came specifically to try on and walk up and down the women’s side. I hear the door bell jingle and a couple comes in, as sent from their other store. They are immediately ushered to a chair to try on the pre-​pulled shoe by another man who appeared from the back of the store. I cough. Nothing. The phone rings and the customer on the line gets questions answered.
At this point I want to open up a bucket of ice cream like Mindy Kahling because I must be invisible as well. I put the shoe back, it was $ 30 more expensive than at Dillard’s or Zappos anyway, (Birkenstocks are pretty flat on their pricing) because I surely couldn’t see the up charge based on service. Unless they actually did prove that I developed powers of invisibility. Then I should go back and tip them accordingly.

I wear ecco’s and they usally only have a few styles in house. Im in my 50’S and i feel like the styles they offer are for my grandfather? I try to do business here but everytime i go in the store i feel the same way leaving with nothing in hand! Guess have to back on zappos or dillards!

Michelle really took her time to help me find options for my very specific needs. I never felt rushed (even though the store was busy) and she proactively found something that was exactly what I needed. Definitely coming back here for my good shoe needs!

Unhappy with customer service over the years. Remembered why I don’t like shopping there yesterday. Didn’t have a coupon with me and they didn’t want to just go ahead with a discount anyway. Would of had to drive 20+ miles just to get $ 10 off! Seriously, on a $ 130 pair of shoes.

There is NO customer service at the «Main Headquarters» on Oracle. I had gone in and picked out a few pairs of shoes and did not get help from anyone! The sales people were just standing around and talking. I finally had to ask for help, so I could try them on. I really liked a pair of boots and sandals but decided to order from zappos instead, their customer service is awesome! There was another pair of boots that I wanted but the sales person said they didn’t have my size. He didn’t even offer to check the other stores for me. This was my third visit to the Oracle store, every visit was the same. I will definitely not be going back and will let coworkers and friends know!

I have several problems with my feet making it hard for me to find shoes, including brittle bones and nerve damage due to surgeries as well as surgically removed ligaments. Finding shoes has been a nightmare for over 20 years… and what I do find is usually pretty ugly.
Although I walk with a cane, I do walk a lot and I travel quite a lot. Without the right shoes, I can’t do this.
I continued to look for a few years, and have literally left stores with tears in my eye due to the salespeople getting impatient with me and how hard it was to find anything.
I really wanted a closed toe, more normal looking shoe. I used to love my New Balance shoes, but they had stopped working for me some time ago as my feet shifted and the nerve damage became more pronounced. I found one kind of hiking boot that worked for a few years, but the discontinued them.
Then a few years ago I went back in to Alan’s Shoes to see what they had and was shown an Ecco sandal that really works for me. I was so excited! I’ve bought a number of pairs from them over time. Very happy with them!
But I was still unable to find a pair of traditional athletic type walking shoes that fit me. It seemed that I would have to continue to wear my Ecco sandals in the sun, rain and even snow… Until yesterday!
I went to the Oracle Road store and within moments, Adam had helped me find my precious new Ecco’s that I wanted. I told him how much I liked them and that I buy them regularly, due to my special needs and lifestyle. He asked me some questions about what I did and soon he had some insights and possibilities to recommend, showing me other options, including using pressure socks. I have worn them on a plane, and had intended to buy more, but I didn’t know they carried them. He taught me how to put them on and the owners son came over to assist. The two of them were able to help me find super New Balance athletic shoes in a new style, designed fro people with nerve damage. I also got some really nice looking, yet very supportive new walking sandals
I walked out feeling comfortable and safe on my feet. I know my money was well spent!
I’ve gone to their other locations, but the one on Oracle has an amazing selection and after the experience that I had with Adam, I’m going to make that extra drive to get to the Oracle location!
Both of the salesmen made me feel that they really did want to help me, not just sell me something as fast as they could and get me out of there. Adam took extra time to make sure that I was comfortable and I felt that he truly cared if I was going to be able to walk well after I left there.
It was the best experience of buying shoes in my life! I’ll go back as long as they are in business. Thank you Alan’s Shoe’s!

I have always heard of Alans Shoes but never went.
There not in the mall, my main source of shows considering there are like 5 shoe stores there. But Alan’s has a very relaxed and hassle free environment that can be welcomed when shoe shopping scrupulously.
I was looking for a running shoe and a gentle older women began helping me. We found a shoe that worked and there happened to be a sale on them, and other shoes this month of July.
I got those finger shoes Ive always wanted and man i really like them.
The store does not have millions of shoes and certainly does not specialize in a one style. But there selection is broad and should cover most desires in one visit.
So check them out and see what you find, because next time I’m going back. :)
