We went to a FC Tucson match last Friday. We had a great time. Even though it was a hot day, almost one hundred degrees, it was very comfortable after the sun went down. I was very comfortable in a t-shirt. We arrived just a few minutes before the start time and we were able to get tickets quickly. Adult tickets cost $ 12. There is a section, 104, that is in the middle and cost more. The bleachers have backrests in section 104. Once you have your ticket it is open seating and you are able to move around(but not sect 104) during the game. There was a good crowd. The players are not professionals but they are good. I am not sure if it is correct to say semi-pro? Tucson scored two great goals. I was able to see the setup and the goals well. It was exciting. You can sit as close to the field as you like. Tucson shutout Las Vegas. A win, especially a shutout, always makes the night more fun. At halftime we got up for a beer, nachos, and a hot dog. Even at halftime the lines moved quickly. There was a good selection of beer. I had a 12oz, 90 Shillings Ale, $ 5. The cheese for the nachos is in a big vat and it is ladled on to the nachos with a big spoon. There was plenty of cheese which isn’t the case when they serve nacho cheese in those tiny plastic cups. The jalapeños are self-serve, so you can have as many as you like. The nachos cost $ 5. I didn’t try the hot dog but it looked pretty good. There are also big restrooms available, not port-a-potties. The game was good, the crowd was fun, and the concessions were better than average. FC Tucson is a lot of fun. I recommend looking up the schedule and catching a game.

Had a fantastic time at the July 4th match against Albuquerque Sol FC! Great crowd with the ‘Cactus Pricks’ in full voice and, for a small venue, really impressive fireworks after the match. Skip the $ 7 ‘Eegee’s Tickets’(we made the mistake of getting them for a match back in June) and spring for the $ 10/seat grandstand. The tiny bleachers in the corner have poor visibility and aren’t very comfortable whereas the grandstand is perfect for watching a spirited semi-pro football match. This would be a five-star review if it weren’t for the sorely lacking concessions facilities. It took my friend nearly 25 minutes from the time he stood to the time he returned with a few frozen lemonades. Having to wait in line that long is inexcusable — hire a couple more kids so we can watch the game!
