We were so anxious for this place to open out here on the far northeast side, and were among the first customers in the doors for the ‘soft’ opening. The burger was very tasty and the quality was nice. The fact you pay additional for fries was initially odd, but the side order was good and more than enough for 2 – 3 people. The second visit was midday, not starving, so we ordered a chicken-curry salad and a «bowl» of chili. The chili was a «cup» and completely non-interesting and SOoo not worth the price. It was not even particularly good; runny and bland. We specifically asked our server if the chicken-curry salad was white meat, non-processed(aka… chunk deli) chicken, and were told«yes.» Needless to say, that wasn’t truthful. It was equivalent to hospital cafeteria quality. A real disappointment. Of all the locals we’ve talked to about this place, not a one has been back.

I don’t know how many names this place goes by, but I’ve moved this review to the address of the current location on the NE side at tanque verde and Catalina highway.

Nice corner family restaurant. The ambiance isn’t bad. Southwest feel with plenty of televisions so you won’t miss the game because your out with the family. The food is ok. General American fair. Most dishes do have a pre prepped by US Foods feel. The staff is friendly and for the most part attentive. The prices could come down as the food is not seller. We’ve come several times as my daughters like the kids menu and the drawing paper and crayons.

I can remember going to this restaurant or one similar located on Speedway and Kolb before the new Lowe’s took over the shopping center. I also remember loving the food… Not — so — much at this location. Talk about BLAH. Anything that could come out of a can — DID. Mushrooms, green chilis, beans.etc. Basically it tasted like we were dining in a retirement home cafeteria. We will never go back!
