Enjoyed a great meal here yesterday for my birthday with a friend. She had prime rib which was cooked to perfection and my rack of ribs fell off the bone. What was great as well was that the sides were perfect too. Some places don’t worry about what they serve with the meats and here they do. Plus the server was just as nice as could be. We will definitely be back!

We like going to the early-bird time(M-Th till 6) for the $ 8.99 specials(about 6 choices). The 6 oz sirloin is good, and tonight I had the 10 oz «Roadkill» dinner — chopped sirloin topped with really delicious fresh mushrooms, onions, and mozz on top. Brought home almost half! All staff was friendly and cheerful. Just a nice place to be.

This was a pleasant surprise for me. I have known about Texas Roadhouse for years, but had never gone in. That mostly has to do with the fact that I know they’re a chain, and chains rarely do steak very well or at least the way I like it. On one particularly frisky evening, the wife and I decided we would make the plunge and give it a try. Everyone rants and raves about the bread here. Its good, no complaints. Just a doughy dinner roll as far as I’m concerned but its tasty. The butter accompanying it is a cinnamon sugar butter which is, again, tasty… but it did seem a bit odd to me to have something so sweet before the meal. The day we went was cold and rainy. Really cold. Really rainy. Chili was in order, and I was so SO thankful to find out that theirs does NOT contain beans. Why is that so hard to find in Tucson? Chili comes from Texas. Texas does not include beans. Its sacrilege. I hate beans in my chili(but love good chili) and almost no restaurants in Tucson serve it this way. The chili here was really very very good. It had a nice warm heat to it. We also ordered a bloomin’ onion. They have their own name for it, but its the same thing. Theirs was good, but outbacks is better – to be expected. I asked for a nice lean cut of sirloin, and that’s exactly what I got. Cooked perfectly. My meal came with ribs too, which were well cooked and well seasoned. This turned out to be quite a lot of food, so a lot came home with us. The price was quite reasonable all things considered. The service was pretty on point and our server was very nice. This may be our new no-frills steak destination going forward. It seems like their motto is «We do steak. However you like steak, we will try to make that happen for a decent rate.» I can really appreciate that, because some nights there’s just nothing you want more than a steak the way you like it.

We really like Texas Roadhouse. Especially the rolls, but I like to use plain butter, which they are happy to provide.

I am so terribly sad to have to write this review. I mean I know I don’t Have to, but service has gone way down hill. What happened guys? You used to be great. Now I’m searching for a new date night spot. Here is a rundown of our most recent visit: My husband and I met about 8:15 to have some dinner. We were both pretty hungry, so he ordered the potato skins, and fried pickles plus the ribeye(12oz) and I had a country fried sirloin. When we got the potato skins, they were old. Like noticeably had been prepared for someone else an hour ago and the cook made an executive decision to nuke them or something. I know because I’ve nuked my own potato skins(or reheated in the broiler) and they taste old and dehydrated. Okay fine. They have cheese and bacon, so even when it’s not that good, it’s still pretty good. Like sex, or pizza. The pickles were fine. Not remarkable. My country fried sirloin was terrible. Our server would have known this if she came by to check, but we sat through the entire meal with no refills or anything until we got the bill. What’s strange is that she didn’t even offer us dessert. This is not the Texas Roadhouse I know. To be fair, they were busy. We had a five minute wait for a table. On previous visits we’ve had a thirty minute wait with five star food and service, so the traffic of the evening had nothing to do with the current issues. I don’t know that we will give it another shot.

I ordered a medium rare steak the last time I went and got back a steak that was mooooing back at me. I didn’t want to complain so I just touched it out. The owner came by and asked how everything was and my husband replied ’ it’s a little more rare than expected’. I quickly tried to shut him up and he asked just one simple question. ‘Would you order that steak again if you were to come back to this restaurant’ and I said no. He told me that it was not a problem and he would have it redone for me. I told him that it was ok and my family is almost done eating so there was no reason to make a bother one. We chatted a bit and when we left, there was a to go box of a perfectly prepared steak AND he took it off my bill. I only write this to say, everyone will make mistakes, but it’s how you handle it that makes the difference. This owner handled it perfect and I’ve been back since! I recommend this place for sure!

I really cannot speak high enough praise of this restaurant. It has a very similar atmosphere to an Outback Steakhouse, but I personally prefer the food here much more than that of Outback. Their meat is very tender and tasty, not dry or undercooked at all. The dinner rolls are delicious, and the service is exceptionally professional and courteous. I’ve already been twice, and fully intend to return as soon as I can. Fantastic restaurant.

We had a great dinner. Spent the day at the hospital so this is what we all needed. Sorry I can’t show you the steak, ribs and shrimp we all had withheld all the fixens.

It’s a chain, which my Hubs is a fan of… I am more of a non-chain restaurant person. That said, I do like this particular Texas Roadhouse. Location is good, it is always clean, ALWAYS good service and the food is decent. I have two go to favorites on their menu — Chicken Critter Salad and the Road Kill(if I am super hungry). The portions are large and I always walk out with a box. The bread is divine, but what bread isn’t? The peanuts — my only gripe, the last two visits the peanuts have been stale.

Part of the problem was my own. I ordered chopped steak instead of a regular steak. So I was disappointed in that. However, I thought the chili was bad and the salad had too many thick end-chunks(if that’s the right word). And while my wife loved her prime rib, I just thought it was so-so. There was an odd taste I couldn’t quite put my finger on. The kids got the steak bites which were too chewy/fatty. Our waitress was serviceable but short of friendly. Just an ok experience; I’ve certainly had better at other Texas Roadhouse locations.

Texas Roadhouse was one of my favorite spots while living in Connecticut for 5 years. I ate there when I was happy, when I was sad, mostly when I was cold. I got my usual everytime: 10oz ribeye, house salad, sweet potato, and destroy the bread. We live in Los Angeles now and Texas Roadhouse is non-existent so when we were visiting Tucson and found one, we had to stop… even though it was 3pm on a Sunday. This particular spot wasn’t as good as the one we used to go to but no big complaints here. The lettuce wasn’t as crunchy/fresh as it should have been and the ribeye was cut super thin but everything else was up to par. I wish they sold a steak seasoning like Long Horn does and I’d be set for life.

We were staying at the Sheraton four points and searched for a good place to eat for the family. And this place ROCKS!!! it’s EVERYTHING you want. Great prices, entertainment, FANTASTICFOOD and so much more. Please if you are around the area it’s so worth it. And they totally appreciate military ! Big plus as my son and husband are Air Force I just can’t say enough good things about this place.

Probably close to the best ribs I’ve had in a while and I don’t care so much for chain restaurants. The price of the ribs were very competitive as well; cheaper than other places I have tried recently. I originally ordered the prime rib for dinner and I always order rare. This is by far the rarest cut of meat I have ever received at a restaurant! I was impressed. The prime rib, by request, comes with creamy horseradish. I was not informed beforehand that it was seasoned. You can’t really mess up creamy horseradish; it is sour cream and horseradish! All of the seasonings in it threw of the natural taste. The prime rib also had a few weird flavors going on; just overdone on seasonings. A good cut of prime rib doesn’t need to be hidden in a corporate concoction of salty flavors. The ribs were an entrée I ordered as take out upon leaving. They were tender but for a full rack were a bit small and I know full racks; ribs are my best friend and I know when my friend is short a rib or two. The worst? The overcooked side dish of broccoli and carrots. I was very disappointed at the discolored carrots and the mushy, yucky, and cold broccoli. Servers were decent. Not very attentive but they got the job done, mostly. There was no follow-up on how my meal was or I would have asked for a replacement side dish. Bathroom was lacking in toilet seat gaskets. I hate that. I love and expect that false sense of security that those super thin papers provide my bum against the cold seat that harbors germs of strangers. Employees also leaving restroom(2 of them) with barely, BARELY a rinse of their hands. Disgusting.

We always enjoy a steak at this restaurant. The last visit we had the 12 oz ribeyes and they were cooked to perfection. The bread was hot, the salad cold and fresh. The only problem was that the sautéed mushrooms were overcooked. Can’t complain about the service at all though. No waiting which is very unusual but we were there early on a Monday. The place was full though so maybe we were just lucky. Our server was outstanding. Kudos to her. She asked all the right questions at the right time. Was friendly, quick and concerned but not overly talkative. Food arrived quickly and hot. Prices are reasonable.

I hadn’t been here in a while and now I remember why. We were seated promptly(they weren’t super busy on a Thursday night) and were promised their famous bread, which was never mentioned again. We had at least 4 different employees come to the table and none ever asked if we wanted bread. The Rattlesnake eggs were good for what they were but we had ordered Ranch dipping sauce, which didn’t come with the app and by the time we physically got up to find someone to get us the forgotten Ranch the app was room temp and the cheese was coagulated. My bfriend’s side salad was served maybe 2 minutes before our meals so by eating his salad while it was cold his meals proceeded to cool down. I was only drinking water and while our server said she’d be right back to refill my empty glass she didn’t return with the pitcher until she came to clear out plates. I guess my real objection was to the service because if the food had been served with the requested sauces in a proper sequence with adequate spacing this would have been a four star review. As it stands the food was fine but we didn’t get to enjoy it because the service was so off. The one truly redeeming thing was that my bfriend’s Dallas filet was cooked perfectly. So that was good. I might try a different Texas Roadhouse someday, but I won’t be back to this one.

My dad and I went here for dinner, and we received one of the best service that I have come across in any restaurant. But let’s start with the cons, and then let’s go to the pros. The only«cons» that I found were that the medium-well order didn’t have a slightly red center, but was rather fully cooked — would suggest ordering one level down if you like more rare steaks. Also, the restaurant had a very loud atmosphere, and I had a hard time having conversations with my dad so we decided to leave a bit earlier. Otherwise, I loved Texas Roadhouse. My server was aware of my food allergies and took awesome care of the food suggestions — it seemed like she truly cared about the customers. She checked in very often. Moreover, it wasn’t just our waitress that was nice; all of the other employees were very polite and friendly. It was a bit pricey per person, but we got a LOT of food with the order. To start, we got peanuts and house-baked bread(the waitress let us know that the restaurant freshly baked every 5 minutes) when we were seated. Dad got the sirloin steak with shrimp, which came with two sides. He ordered the side salad(huge, but forgot to take a picture because we were too hungry… sorry), and the server let us know that all of the sauces were house-made. For the second side, dad ordered the chili. I got the grilled salmon with a side of veggies and baked sweet potatoes — I loved the sweet potatoes and the veggies came with a sauce dip that was amazing. Bottom line: Great service — I highly recommend going to Texas Roadhouse for any occasion!

Some of the tastiest steak I’ve ever tasted. Nicely marbled cuts of beef cooked to your specifications absolutely perfectly. Didn’t even touch the bottle of steak sauce they brought out with the food. The natural flavor of the meat was incredible. I chose steak fries and fresh vegetables as my 2 sides and had a 22 oz. beer to accompany the grub. The meal and service were outstanding. We had a server who was training a new hire and they were great. Attentive, friendly service that wasn’t pushy or rude at all. The only thing that was a bit of a challenge to take in was the raucous western style party atmosphere. The place is LOUD. They break out into synchronized line dance performances on a regular basis like clockwork. All the staff drop what they’re doing and they git er done. Funny and maybe amusing the first time. But the truth is I’d sit there watching that nonsense for an hour just to have another one of their rib eyes. Yes, shameless, I know.

I had never been to Texas Roadhouse before, and was warned ahead of time that it’s too loud to talk in there. But everyone had good things to say about the food, and I was in need a of a steakhouse for dinner, so I met up with some friends and tried it out. It was pretty loud as we were led through the restaurant, but the room they seated us in was no more noisy than anywhere else in town, and there was no point(other than a Happy Birthday song) where we had any trouble hearing each other. Our visit was on a Sunday evening, and the restaurant was busy. We had to wait no more than 15 minutes for a table, which wouldn’t have been bad except that there was nowhere to wait that wasn’t filled with cigarette smoke, including the benches in the foyer. Each time the hostess went outside to find a waiting party, she ignored the people smoking illegally close to the entrance, even as their smoke wafted in. I was ready to go tell them off myself when they called my name for a table. The service here was excellent, other than the hostess. Despite how busy they were, the waitress was both friendly and funny. The food came out quickly enough, and I never felt like anything was taking too long. Our waitress had suggested their current special, where you can add 3 shrimp to any meal(or more shrimp in multiples of 3); I agreed to this. That was really the only mistake of the night. We started with a «cactus blossom» fried onion, which was pretty decent. Nothing stellar. I chose the ribs for dinner and might have tried a ribs-and-steak plate if I hadn’t filled up onion. I added the 3 shrimp to that, but when I ate them, I didn’t feel like they were worth the cost. They weren’t bad at all — they were cooked perfectly and had reasonable flavor. But they added nothing to the dish I ordered. They were just tossed on top. I guess that was the point of them. But next time, I’d be happier without. My ribs were extremely meaty. More than I expected, even at this price. And the meat basically fell off the bones. The sauce was low on flavor, and I don’t recall a choice of sauces. The meat has a little smoky flavor, but nothing that really stood out. It was filling, for sure, and cooked excellently. I don’t think I’d order it again; I would try something different. In the end, I felt like the food was 4 or 4.5 stars, and the waitress easily rated at 5 stars. I’d round the rating up to 5 if I didn’t have to sit in a cloud of cigarette smoke to get in.
