Jay Bee’s Auto Service

Just an update. My A/​C lasted from ⁶⁄₁₅ till ⁹⁄₁₅. Then, more warm air. Brought it back under the 1 year warranty in ¹⁰⁄₁₅. They found leakages in both the switches involved. Instead of assuming that their «mechanic» had not used the brand-​new O-​rings included in the a/​c kit, they assumed it was the fault of the switches. They did replace them both under the warranty, and I had a/​c for one more day. Then, surprise! More warm air! They discovered they had put on the wrong low-​pressure switch with the wrong threads, so it just blew off. They ordered a cheaper (but more correct) switch, and so far, it is hanging on. It took them two additional days to put on the second switch, so I have had to pay for a minimum of 3 additional days of rental cars to deal with Jay Bee’s screw-​ups. Please, don’t be as ignorant as I was… avoid this so-​called «repair shop»!
I’d also like to mention, they seem to be trying to build up a case of owner-​negligence on my car against me (in case of potential lawsuits?) For example, on my invoice dated 10/​20, they noted that my oil was filthy, and should have been changed at 90 487 miles. That judgement was due to a sticker on the car from the previous owner. Little did they know, the oil had been changed two days prior… but no new sticker.
Also, the car was returned to me covered in birdshit… yet again.

If you need your car repaired use Jay Bee’s. Their staff is friendly and treated me well. When you need a repair done quickly AND fixed right the first time they are the shop to use. I love that they have women in their shop who actually know cars and how to explain my situation to me.

Competent, Professional, Fair, & Honest. Won The Best Of Tucson for years, for a reason. Nice, Nice people. Also have a driver, to transport you to/​from shop, as needed. You can’t go wrong choosing Jay Bees. I have been using this shop for YEARS– and recommend it to everyone. If you are looking for a GREAT shop that won’t overcharge you and does superior work, HERE IT IS!!!

The shop I had taken my car to before bringing it to Jay Bees insisted they couldn’t tell me what was wrong with the car and wanted to try list of repairs until it was fixed. Seriously!!!
A friend at work suggested Jay Bees and I think we’re now lifetime customers. Great customer service, they found the problem right away, very knowledgeable, and fair prices.
I honestly couldn’t be happier and highly recommend this place!

Unilocal needs an option for a sixth star, for super-​exceptional service. Jay Bee’s would get that sixth star every time. I am new to Tucson, and needed a mechanic to figure out and solve my lit-​up «check engine» light. Jay Bee’s not only fixed the problem, but they drove me to and from home while they did it and finished the job in time for me to make a doctor’s appointment that they knew was important. And the bill was VERY reasonable to boot. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I had gone to another shop that really took me for a ride so when I arrived at Jay Bee’s I was very distraut and mostly paranoid. They got me in super fast and were nice when I came in.
I called them to get the quote about 4 hours after I had dropped off my car which I had done earlier than I was sceduled for. They didn’t seem put off by my impatience and called me back shortly after to give me a quote. The problem I had was exactly what I thought it was and considering they had to remove my entire center console (which when I had tried I did not succeed at) they gave a pretty fair price.
I pick my car up in the morning but considering the nightmare of the last shop I am super excited that I was recomended to this shop. Mostly because they listened and didn’t fix things that were not broke.
