Pierini Designer Jewelry

Owed $ 171 dollars. I was in the store several times in the two weeks before they closed with no notice. At no point did anyone suggest I find something IMMEDIATELY since they were going to close and take my credit with them. Effing theives.

Bought a ring here four years ago nearly to the day. I wear it everyday and always stop in to say hi and have it cleaned when I’m in the area. Everyone who works there always seemed like they really cared and I am extremely sad to see this business go. I was looking forward to getting my wedding rings made there, or any other special jewelry, because everything made by these jeweled is truly element and special. I hope thy open somewhere else one day!

3 weeks for a ring to be resized??? And then I just went and picked up since they were never going to get it completed. Had a custom ring made another time and it is horrible. Rick made me feel like this is what I asked for. Never wear it! Sad since t was 300!

I knew starting in September that something was wrong. Sometimes Rick was slightly gruff but he always seemed like he knew what he was doing. In September we deposited a significant amount of money towards a wedding band. After repeated calls for updates we simply got the run around. My husband wanted to be patient since we wanted it done correctly not rushed. That was understandable since we’ve worked with pierini in the past. Anyway we called a few weeks back to see if we could get some answers since it has been over a month since we’ve heard from anybody. The phone number was disconnected. I didn’t have a good feeling so I stopped by the store… THEY’RE CLOSED. Management says that around new years they just up and left! They say there are no refunds… but how about you give someone there money back if you can’t afford to keep your business. No decency to admit it and warn customers… I thought maybe something terrible happened to him like the owner died or something. The management office for the upscale shopping center says he owes them money too… I’m so dissapointed. We don’t make a lot of money and they just scammed us. I’ve gone through so many emotions through this and I’m mostly sad now. We are now out over $ 600 and we don’t have our product and never will.

I am so sorry and sad to have learned that Pierini’s has CLOSED !!! I loved, loved, loved everyone associated with this business … especially Rick and his wife. I went there for all my custom pieces and my sterling silver. Everything was «one of a kind» and, since Rick and his wife designed and made every piece, they customized things to my taste and liking. I am really going to miss this business and everyone who worked there.

How often can you find locally made custom jewelry?
They have many unique and beautiful pieces. If you are tired of the same jewelry you find everywhere, this is the place to go. I spent a good hour working with one of the owners finding the perfect piece. It took so long because there were so many wonderful options.
They sized the thing in fifteen minutes while I talked to them about how they make the jewelry. I’m an engineer so I find it fascinating how it’s all done in a small operation like that. There is so much new technology that goes into the process but the real meat of it is millenia old. You don’t get close to the magic when you go to big places.
The customer service and the value was amazing in my book.

This store has the worst customer service we have experienced in a long time. We were shopping for a gold necklace and found a cute one that matched my 22kt bracelet perfectly. We asked the lady whether it would tarnish and she assured us it would not, that it would remain as good as new. This turned out to be untrue. One week after we bought it, the gold ceramic necklace turned brown. We returned it and was told it was our fault because I wore it in the shower one day. He offered to «clean» it and took it for about a week. When we returned to the store to pick it up it was not much different that it was when we took it in. He would not accept a return nor even store credit. He rudely told us not to wear it in the shower any more. I asked what would happen in a monsoon rainstorm. He said to keep it dry. It has since continued to tarnish. This store lied to us about the product then failed to support their customer when an issue surfaced. This was really to bad for them because the following week my husband was looking for a 50^th year wedding present and spent $ 50K in another jewelry store. Don’t ever do business with Pierini Designer Jewelry because they do not stand behind what they sell.

DO NOT CUSTOM ORDER FROM THIS STORE! They are unreliable and irresponsible!
My mom had a Tanzanite stone she wanted set into a ring. I suggested this place to my mom for a custom order ring. She ordered the ring, received it and decided she didn’t like the setting, as she misunderstood, as did I, how it would look. They took it back to redesign to the specifications she thought she was getting in the first place.
That was in March. She still doesn’t have the ring. We have been in multiple times asking for progress and are always given some story about how Rick, the designer/​owner, is still working on it and they apologize she has not been informed. My mom is a snowbird, so after all of this Pierini’s was given permission to call me and I would pick up the ring.
No call all summer. After a discussion about what to do since it’s almost November, 7 months later, we decided to have my mom call the store and get her stone back. She spoke with Rick and was told the ring was done months ago and he apologized that no one had called her.
To say this is unprofessional is an understatement. I don’t know anyone who wants to wait for a custom design for 7 months, do you? Be cautious with them. They seemed so sincere but obviously don’t care about the customer.

I had a wonderful experience with a custom bezel enhancement and main gemstone resetting on a ring of mine. Rick walked us through all of the options and was very understanding to our needs. He was very knowledgeable and came up with a great look that was high quality and blended in with the rest of the ring. His craftsmanship was superb and has been very durable (I am pretty rough on rings). I admire it daily!

First time in this store today. Cannot recommend for two reasons.
First, mediocre (at best) designs. (While I realize that’s a question of taste, their designs are nothing you haven’t seen before.)
Secondly, and MOST IMPORTANTLY – while exchanging a gift, I was offered a store credit of $ 8 for the difference. When I asked for it to be credited back to the card, the owner «respectfully» offered «no exceptions to the policy. We don’t want to create any ambiguity among our customers.» (The store was empty, btw, on a Saturday afternoon. Not surprising. His store policy is reason enough to alienate customers. I suggested he change his policy to make exceptions for credits under $ 10. He didn’t like that.)
Sadly and ironically, I concluded and believe this store policy could very well be the only reason he is open at all. All those 8 and 10 dollar store credits must add up.
This store may know mediocre jewelry design, but they don’t have a clue how to build relationships.
No loss really. I personally don’t care for their jewelry. But REALLY didn’t care for his universal «policy» or the way he delivered it. JUST BAD BUSINESS.

Pierini Designer Jewelry is one of my favorite places in Tucson. The owner Rick, is not only very creative but helpful and HONEST! The rest of the staff is also very friendly and ready to be of service. This store runs the gamut from less expensive to higher priced jewelry. Great selection and great follow up service if any repairs are needed.

Just about the WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced. I returned a gift and tried to find something else that I was interested in. After browsing the entire store, I was unable to find anything that I liked. I explained that I didn’t live in town and if there was any way he could make an exception to refund the money instead of having store credit which needs to be spent in 90 days. The owner was extremely rude and condescending, telling me that they make absolutely NO exceptions for any circumstance and that surely I understand since they are a small business. Although I was annoyed that I was stuck with store credit for a store that I don’t like, it was more about how rudely I was treated.
A few years ago my father bought my mother a ring for their 25^th wedding anniversary. One of the stones fell out the first time she wore it. She took it in and they fixed it. Then a month later two additional stones fell out and they refused to fix the ring saying that it was only intended to be worn every once in a while. I would not recommend this store to anyone.

My wife had her watch battery replaced there a few weeks ago (for about half the price other establishments quoted). They even polished it at no extra fee. Her watch started having some problems, so we stopped by on Sunday to have it checked out. The issues were not the fault of Pierini’s workmanship, it is just an older watch. We were greeted at the door promptly and they apologized for her having to come back in. They took the watch and completed a full service checkup and were able to resolve the issue in about 15 minutes at no cost. While we were wait we checked out the extensive collection of designer jewelry and watches. They have everything from inexpensive bangles and small pieces of jewelry to completely custom designed pieces.
I started looking at their fine collection of watches and our sales person Ginny was extremely helpful. She knew all the right questions to ask to guide me through their collection and make some solid recommendations. After a while I found the perfect watch for me. It was one of their own signature pieces. It was a little more than I was planning on spending during our casual day of shopping, but it is a high quality watch that met all my personal taste and needs.
Ginny was very patient as my wife and I left and came back several times while we came to a decision. There was absolutely no pressure from Ginny nor did I feel I was pushed to the higher end watch (it was roughly 3x more than were I started at). The selection was based entirely on my needs and my requests. Ginny even informed me that they offer a layaway program if that was something I was looking for.
In the end we purchased the watch based on the quality and fine customer service we received. My in-​laws and several friends have visited for both repairs and new items and they have all had similar experiences.
As we waited to have my watch sized we had the opportunity to chat with the owner’s wife, Stephanie. She is a very pleasant person and was very knowledgeable when it came to both products and time piece repair.
Pierini Designer Jewelry is now the first and probably only place I will shop at for my jewelry needs. I would highly recommend it to all my friends.
