Want to write a review about the river and Campbell location. Great food. Friendly people. Everything is gluten free except the pasta and rolls. Rib — eating son says they are one of the top 5 ribs he has ever had. Brisket very flavorful and lean. Pork also lean but bland without sauce. Mac and cheese yummy and cheesy. Great to have this new place nearby! Quick takeout service.

GOOD — the place is clean, and it is quiet but with a little light music comin in over the speakers.
The service is FANTASTIC, it makes you really want to come back.
The FOOD — the nice woman who served me is good, she up sold me to the 2 meat combo plate. She also suggested ribs and brisket, my kind of woman!
The ribs were coated in BBQ sauce. The brisket had no sauce on it, I appreciated this. They served me a huge side of mac n cheese, a side of cole slaw, and two dinner rolls, nice!
I was not blown away. The meat has flavor but it was heated enough for my liking. The brisket had a nice smoke taste, and the ribs were decent. The mac n cheese and cole slaw were decent as well.
I am stuffed and I left a roll and some mac n cheese, impressive.
Give the place a shot.
I actually had lunch at their new location located at River and Campbell.
I show up at 11:45 and am the only customer. To their defense, the place has been open 3 days. The staff was very friendly and because I was the only customer, they were all attentive. The owner or manager was also there and he was very nice too.
I ordered a cheesesteak. I was served what amounts to a cheesesteak in the traditional sense but the meet appears to be a brisket. It was served with cheese, grilled onions, mushrooms, and I believe a mild green pepper. I ordered a side of potato salad and a fountain drink, paid 15
bucks.
The sandwich was just ok. The hoagie roll was clearly a run of the mill store bought roll but it was very soft. The sandwich had good flavor but it wasn’t memorable. The meat was moist but it did not have a real signature taste I would expect from a BBQ joint. They served with a side of sweet barbecue sauce and also encourage me to try the spicy sauce. Both of these sauces were pretty flavorful and definitely added to the meal.
The potato salad was made with a hint of mustard and included black olives, which I found to be pretty good.
The décor and layout of the space is questionable. In my opinion, a bar or a brewery would be perfect for this location.

Had lunch last week and had their brisket sandwich. Flavor was just so-​so. Customer service was excellent!
I have faith they will be much better next time around, but everyone knows «you ain’t got a thing if you don’t got that swing». I think R&R will get their swing.
Cmon! Tucson lets support this establishment! After all they are a Tucson Original!

Was hungry after the gym and stopped in, I was greeted right away by the owner. The food was very tasty and freshly prepared. The two servers working went out of there way to see if I needed anything on multiple occasions. Will be coming back again soon.

Stopped in to the River/​Campbell location next to Sullivan’s. This is the second time I’ve eaten there, great service, friendly help, excellent food! I had the Pulled Pork meal with Mac n Cheese… on a Jalapeño Roll… excellent BBQ. Large portions and Real Colby Jack cheese sprinkled on top. Prices are reasonable too. You will definitely Enjoy your meal there.

Update your website!!! Says you are open mon thru thurs 11 – 8 and when we showed up thurs at 1 the hours were different on the door. Waste of time!

Small place that recently moved locations. Not very busy but while we were there they received a few calls from people who were having a hard time finding the new location. They have bar-​b-​q on their menu but we went for the friday burger deal. Definitely got our moneys worth! Large hearty burger and steak fries! Left very satisfied and will give them another try… next time their bar-​b-​q.
