Warning to those who want to work while having coffee: No WiFi til 11 a.m. Otherwise, awesome place. Loving my iced coffee, scone and friendly staff.

Quite underwhelming. Lots of better locations for coffee in Tucson, even within just a couple of blocks away.

I love Raging Sage. I think it’s the best coffee in Tucson. The five star rating is on their coffee products only, as I’ve never had their pastries but I have heard their scones are exceptional. My biggest complaint is with the venue. There is hardly any parking and its in an old repurposed house it looks like, and it’s just always a little cramped inside. But all of this is worth it due to the quality of coffee, and everybody else seems to think so too, because it’s always busy.

I LOVE Raging Sage. The coffee is flavorful and smooth. It is the ONLY place I will buy coffee. The sweet treats are wonderful, baked @ Raging Sage & unique. You must try your favorite drink or a new pastry, you will not be disappointed.

Favorite coffee shop by a landslide. It’s usually pretty packed, so seating can be a challenge, but even with the longest line, you still get your coffee quick and just how you want it. They offer milk subs — soy, almond. And some vegan scones/muffins/cookies. Did I mention their scones are to die for? And if you get there early enough, sometimes you can get them fresh out of the oven.

So I have to admit that I was looking for a place to do a pour over, aero press, or have cold brew. For that I was disappointed, but there must be something to this place because it was packed at 10:30. Their homemade pastries looked amazing. I got a scone and it tasted as good as advertised. I had to settle for an americano, not my drink of choice. However, the drink was amazing, not having the burnt taste that often goes hand in and with espresso. So if you’re looking for a simple coffee shop that is not Starbucks this place won’t disappoint.

Love the coffee and tea. Everything there is nicely brewed and fresh. Never tried there pastries yet they look very yummy. The only thing that I don’t like is that they don’t put on the AC, but I love sitting outside on the patio. Great atmosphere!

This is now tied as our favorite coffee shop in Tucson. The one down the way is just slightly ahead in the race. This shop was the first one that actually welcomed us! In fact, despite looking like Walmart bums in sweatpants, someone came from around the counter to get our order while we stood in quite a long line. We knew THAT was a good sign! We ordered two hot mochas, and man, were they HOT! Second good sign! Our drinks were strong, not too sweet, and very rich. They were perfect. Definitely tempted to try one of their amazing looking scones next time. There will be many more next times.

Yummmmm!!! The coffee was fantastic. The line was out the door so it must be known that this is a great place to stop. I had an almond milk latte and the overall flavor was just very unique. It’s clear they use some sort of special roast. I also tried a raspberry jam scone that was the perfect pairing. The outdoor seating area was by far the best part. Dog friendly — love it Beautiful orange blossoms — smelled amazing Live music acoustic French café music — dreamy! Awesome experience.

Quaint indoor sitting area, but perhaps a bit small. Delicious coffee and pastries paired with a delightfully pleasant outdoor patio shaded by trees-how a café should be!

Raging Sage is my favorite coffee shop in Tucson! The coffee here is brewed carefully and thoughtfully at all hours of the day. I find that the quality of the coffee at most coffee shops tends to slide well into the afternoon in evening. If you want good coffee, you have to arrive in the morning. This is not so at the Raging Sage. I have never been disappointed by the drip here, it is always roasted perfectly and steeped just long enough. Raging Sage also offers just about every espresso combination I think I’ve ever heard of, and even some that I haven’t heard of. When in doubt, ask one of the baristas, they won’t steer you wrong here. Everything at Raging Sage is homemade including the coffee, the cakes, the muffins, and the scones and they are ridiculously good. Raging Sage offers the best scones I think I’ve ever had. Raging Sage also has ample seating inside and out. The inside of the shop is a bit cozy but there’s a large courtyard with plenty of space and heaters for the winter. Raging Sage also provides some reading material in the form of newspapers and such. Overall, this is where I would send an out of town guest if I had to recommend just one coffee shop. Raging Sage even ships their roasted beans across the country, that’s how good they are. If you haven’t been, definitely check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.

I really enjoy going to Raging Sage on my way to school. I had their coffees a few times, which are always freshly brewed. I especially like how they have a large variety of condiments to put into your drink. I’m fairly weak to caffeine though, so I started having a headache with the 12oz latte that has 2 espresso shots. I personally had to pour more milk into the drink to balance the caffeine and sip it very slowly, but it was still reasonably good. I also had the mocha drink, which was a bit too sweet for me, but to be fair, I’m not a huge fan of sweet coffees. In terms of the atmosphere, Raging Sage is a good place to meet up with people or study but it sometimes gets loud and crowded. On another note, maybe it was just the day I went to study, but the wifi was painstakingly slow. Overall, here were my thoughts: Good prices. I love their tea and coffee bags that could be purchased. They have a lot of desserts and pastries, as well as fresh coffee and teas. They have prompt, awesome service I liked the cute interior and outside seating; I would love to sit outside more when the mosquitos die off. I come here pretty often, so I see no reason as to why I wouldn’t be back again.

What a neat independent coffee shop! From the kindness of the barristas, to the phenomenal baked goods and coffee, I can honestly say that I have never had anything less than a stellar experience here. There is seating tucked outside in a courtyard underneath trees, which even in the midday Tucson heat, always seems to have shade and a relaxing breeze. Inside, there are wood floors and plenty of 2 top tables… and, an added bonus… they play classical music lightly in the background! Great shop. And yes, as all the other reviews state, the scones are amazing.(I had a coconut chocolate chip one yesterday, and a fig walnut one today… so good!) Brava!(PS: Parking lot is in the back!)

Great place. Really great coffee and everything. The reason for the 2 star review is because their wifi is so unbelievable terrible. I’d love to come here to do homework but can’t due to the slow wifi. It takes literally 10 minutes to load my email. This place would be 5 stars if they improved their internet.

The scones are just delightful. I can honestly say that these are the best I have ever had. They have classical flavors and adventurous flavors that are made from scratch and baked fresh throughout the day. Chewy and buttery on the inside with a good crunch on the outside, they truly are quite perfect. No tasteless, hard, floury, and crumbly«scones» here. So far, I have tried the fruit jam scones and today I had a slightly savory sage, pecan, jalapeño jelly scone. Didn’t really taste like jalapeño or have any bite at all, but it was still amazing. I have yet to try the other pastries but It’s just a matter of time. I can only comment on the iced tea because I’m not much of a coffee person. The iced black tea had a great aroma and the hibiscus herbal tea was very refreshing. Not as watered down as other chain coffee shops. Like others have mentioned, they do have a coffee/tea punch card(buy 10, get 11th free) which you will have to ask for. Raging Sage has such a nice warm, homey feel. The staff is always super friendly and they really engage in conversation with the customers. There is a patio as well. The café space is really small and it can get crowded at peak hours. About 12 – 15 tables inside. Parking can also be hard to find but there are always people coming and going. As far as studying goes, probs not the best place. Space is limited, there is no WiFi(until after 5pm I believe), there’s a lot of foot traffic, and the fresh-baked-scone smells are distracting. Nonetheless, I still have managed to get some reading done. I would consider this more of a hangout coffee shop –good place for casual meetings, a date, reading a novel/newspaper, etc. Definitely recommend checking this place out… and don’t skip the pastries!

This is the best coffee shop/bakery in Tucson. They have rotating baked goods — amazing ones. I’m talking Italian cheesecake with blueberry compote, coconut blueberry tart, cherry and crystallized ginger scones, chocolate cake with mocha buttercream, and more. Also, all of their drinks are sweet and delicious. Their coffee actually tastes good. Oh, and it’s super affordable, and the place is super cute with an awesome outdoor patio. The only complaint I have is that they need to slingshot their WiFi into the patio. You can buy a $ 40 device to make your WiFi go farther. All in all, this place and their friendly staff should definitely have five stars.

Raging Sage sure makes a legit coffee, but I must say that they stole my heart with their pastries. They’ve got the best fresh baked goods in town! Scones galore, brownies, cheesecake, lemon cake, just to name a few. They really should wholesale their baked items– there are plenty of coffee shops in town that could spruce up their selection and RS would be perfect!

Raging Sage has almost everything, and on a future visit I may upgrade to 5 stars. BUT, as far as I can tell the only have one kind of coffee, which is a blend of French roast(3 parts) and a light roast(2 parts), origins of the beans kept secret. I find this blend too smokey for my taste. I originally ordered a half-caf, half-decaf americano, but it was noticeably bitter. When I pointed this out and asked if it might be the decaf beans, one of the bartenders agreed. I asked to exchange it for the drip, which is always their proprietary blend, and they had no problem with that. They even offered to make a regular americano. It is clear that the pastries draw a lot of people here and the all look scrumptious. I was hoping for blueberries with bran, but they didn’t make anything like that today, so I got the blueberry scone. It was crumbly and taste very good. The staff was very helpful, explaining options and bean source, and friendly. A very good experience overall and I look forward to trying again.

I’m not a scone person by nature, but the scones at Raging Sage are amazing enough to make me consider changing my ways. The first scone I ever had here was the only flavor available in the early afternoon.(Apparently going in the morning is the only way to get a good selection before they are all snatched up.) It was a vegan scone. Orange chocolate. When I ordered it, I truly thought I would be disappointed. I’m not an orange-in-my-pastries kinda girl. Chocolate is cool… but vegan? My list of doubts were LONG going into this one, y’all. Long. But guess what. It was the best freakin’ scone I’ve ever had. This scone made me understand why Ina Garten is so obsessed. It was light and fluffy and the flavors were delicately sweet and well developed. Heavenly, guys. The coffee shop is small, and can be super crowded on the weekends, especially during the morning, but the little patio outside which is shaded by orange trees(SoCal in Tucson!) is the perfect place to hide away during a weekday afternoon. A few cons besides the small size and small, somewhat awkward parking lot: The WiFi isn’t turned on until either 11:00 a.m. or noon(I can’t remember which). I get it. They are super busy in the morning and you don’t want people camping out during your morning rush. It’s a pain if you’re there at 10:45 a.m. after the morning rush and the place is practically empty but you can’t do any work because there’s no WiFi. The coffee can also be a little hit or miss. I’ve had absolutely delicious almond milk lattes from Raging Sage about 70% of the time that I’ve ordered there… but the other 30% of my lattes have been almost undrinkable. And the one time I ordered an iced coffee… I ended up leaving it behind after a sip. If you hit up Raging Sage, just make sure you go with plenty of room for a scone. Seriously amazing.

This place is in a tie for my favorite coffee shop in Tucson. Most recently I went to Raging Sage last Thursday for afternoon coffee. The parking lot is too small even for the small coffee shop so I always park on the side street nearby. I love this place, but even at 2pm on Thursday almost every seat was taken. We got lucky, we were able to sit on the patio. The orange trees were blooming and the smell was strong and amazing. They also have wonderful potted succulents. If I had a patio this pretty at home I would never go out. I do like the coffee here, but I love the baked goods. The prices of the baked goods are a little high but I have no problem paying for these amazing treats. The high quality is apparent. The recipes seem to be unique to Raging Sage. The scones are wonderful, as are the muffins and cakes. One of the best slices of cheesecake I ever had I had here. They have a talented baker and it really completes the coffee shop experience. Thursday I had a 16oz hot chi latte and it was delicious. When I come by myself I like to sit along the front bar facing Campbell Ave. Thursday I was meeting a friend and her small daughter, the patio was the perfects place to sit. I like the community bulletin board, it is always full of interesting announcements. I really enjoy this local neighborhood coffee shop. It is one of my favorite places in Tucson.

when i lived in Tucson for 3 months, Raging Sage was my GO-TO shop for random dessert cravings! SCONES, if you’re going to get one come in the morning when they’re hot out of the oven & you get first dibs on flavors –chocolate chip scone: HUGE, the chocolate chips were still melty. i liked the crusty outer layer but it was a bit too bread-y on the inside –lemon chiffon cake: YUMMY, light with a perfect amount of zest. although the frosting was a bit sweet –chocolate cheesecake: decadent & creamy with a chocolate cookie crust… mMMm lots of outlets at the window seats. they also have outdoor seating in back one gripe: NOTMUCH parking NOTE: they do offer soy & almond milk but it’s not stocked on the cream & sugar counter, just ask for it

Hervorragender Coffee Shop in Tucson. It’s beautifull !
