Sheraton Tucson Hotel & Suites

Very sloooooooooow service. Obviously understaffed. Inside hotel halls smell but the rooms seemed to smell a little cleaner. Rooms have chipped paint and outdated decide for the establishments standards.

This is the worst place to stay. All of my belongings were taken by the staff and I was told they didn’t do it because if they had someone would have recorded it. Ended up having to call the police only to find out that when housekeeping showed up they had my things all along. It was horrible. I was not offered amenities or help and the manager was completely rude, all because of a computer glitch.

There are a lot of low ratings for this Sheraton on Unilocal,however, not once has management bothered to reply. This says a lot. This says they’ve chucked in the towel, and that it would be merciful for the parent company to get the wrecking ball out and start anew.
I really dislike writing bad reviews when the staff are genuinely nice and helpful. However, their attentiveness can’t hide some serious management flaws that would send «undercover boss» running for the phone.
From the moment you drive into the lot from the Rosemount Bl (past the iHop) and see the dead flood light in front of the palm trees, you know you’re entering a zone where the manager hasn’t driven around their own property at night to take stock in the general maintenance. While there are accent lights beaming on the hotel, there aren’t very many overhead lights illuminating the parking lot, sidewalks, or even the step up to the hotel itself (I almost tripped). This parking lot is scary, and I don’t recommend parking very far from the lobby. When you park at night, don’t linger. It’s just too dark.
The hotel is an older one, that looks as if it’s on it’s last legs before turning into a truly scary place. Upon checking in, I found a hair in the tub, holes in the wallpaper, curtains falling off rods. It’s part and parcel with the dead floodlight in front of the palm trees.
There are some renovations going on, and sadly, from the mess they’ve left behind, rather than assiduously sweeping and mopping up, the areas in front of the elevators look and feel like the construction zone that they are.
The hotel is located next to a hospital, and there is some noise, which is to be expected. The walls are paper thin, and while I could hear everything the neighbors said, I’m sure I kept them up coughing all night.
One really hopes that everyone here gets a new manager, or a new job.

Company holiday party held in ballroom, the service was fine but the food lacked… here was my appetizer salad. 3 bites. Someone at my table asked for an extra roll but told there were none.

Family of 4. Stayed in a 2 room suite for 2 nights this past week. The area is pretty run down but the hotel is fairly nice. Def only 3 star nice, maybe 2.75. Hospital is right next door so there was some ambulance and helicopter noise. But it wasn’t terrible.
The staff was very very nice. When I called down for towels, blankets, pillows, we got them pretty fast. And then they would call again to make sure we got them. Staff gets 5 stars!
The room was nice enough. We didn’t like the double french doors, we felt a little exposed and kept the curtains drawn shut most of the time. The pull out couch was very small, luckily we brought a blow up mattress with us so our kids didn’t have to share such a tiny bed. (we learned our lesson from a previous hotel’s tiny pull out) Called down for an extra blanket and pillows. The king bed was ok. It felt like an older mattress, woke up with some back pain. Had to call down for different pillows. The down pillows just flatten when you lay on them.
Our room had a microwave and refrigerator. Thumbs up on that one!
WI-​FI was good. Our kids even watched Netflix on their phones while we were there.
So, the restaurant… we ate dinner there Thurs night. It was ok. Nothing special, kinda pricey for the lack of quality. I felt like the chicken in my caesar wrap was day old chicken. Definitely not freshly cooked and chopped up. Seriously, it takes about 10min to pan cook a chicken breast. The fruit was out of season and pretty bland. Hubby’s food was ok but it was a small portion for $ 15.
Ok — LISTEN UP… the breakfast buffet is $ 12 per person. SKIP IT! Trust me. The fake eggs were totally under-​cooked. The potatoes o’brien were not o’brien. They were just potatoes that tasted day old as well. The bagels were either bad or sour dough, either way, not good. Pancakes had a strange taste as well. How hard is it to cook fresh pancakes? One of my kids ordered eggs and potatoes from the menu ($ 9 instead of $ 12). Her potatoes came out o’brien. She asked for real eggs and they did get that right. :) I would suggest skipping the overpriced under-​cooked buffet and hit the IHOP next door.
Oh, one other thing… in our shower, the shower head was pretty low. Hubby had to duck down a little to get under it. And he’s barely 6ft. LOL So if you’re super tall, something to think about.
Would I stay here again? Maybe but I’d skip eating at Fire & Spice restaurant for sure.

Excellent place to stay, especially at SPG Platinum. They upgraded us to the Presidential Suite.

I would not recommend this Sheraton if you are allergic to pet odor/​dander/​pet hair. I love pets but I have terrible allergies. My reservation was on the 4^th floor king suite. The hallways and inside the room smells like a damp dog. The moment I stepped in the room I started sneezing and my allergy symptoms kicked in.
I called the front desk to get relocated but the response I received was: «sorry we can’t relocate you right now; would you consider the 1^st floor?» Apparently the 1^st floor is where they allow guests to bring pets. Why would they even suggest to move someone who is allergic to a floor where they allow pets? For someone who has severe allergies, this can be a serious health hazard.

Not really worthy of the Sheraton name. We were upgraded to suite, but our delight was temporary. Bathroom is a closet and toilet abuts the door. The bathroom door lacks a lock. And washbasin is in the bedroom. Around 1 am, after about four or five loud bangs that were coming from the HVAC, we asked to be relocated to another room. They gave us another room down the hallway where the HVAC noise was fainter. Other issues remained the same. When we went to the counter, their IT systems were down. On the whole, leaves a lot to be desired.

I travel to Tucson monthly for business and this has been a great choice for myself and my small dog for the past several visits. No extra charge for animals. WiFi is free and works great, quick connection makes it easy to get some work done.
Polite staff. Clean and comfortable rooms and a very nice courtyard and pool area. I was upgraded to a poolside suite after achieving SPG Gold Status for this stay, a very nice gesture and I love having the larger suite with a living room and separate bedroom for this visit.
Tonight they had live music and dancing near the pool, fun option for a Friday night while traveling in unknown territory. (This ended around 9pm, early enough to allow quiet time for those early to bed.)
One con, however, they do not provide microwaves in-​room, even in the suites… this would be a helpful addition.

I stayed here for 4 days with my dog as this hotel is pet friendly. Pool and rooms were clean and relaxing. I enjoyed their restaurant fire and spice. I ate there almost everyday. This hotel restaurant and their bar is very affordable on my eyes. I would stay here again should I be in Tucson again.

Front desk check in staff was great but after going to a first room where someone had smoked and the spray they used did not quite do the trick. Then we get moved to a room where pillow covers were different shades of white to yellowish at a Sheraton?
Latest experiences include:
1. At the very small Fitness center with no windows the tightly aligned 6 life fitness machines had the usual video function/​TV but it was not working on any of them. In 2015, really?
2. The filtered water fountains in the gym and at the pool were warm. This is Tucson in the summer — cold water is good.
3. Jumped in the jacuzzi at sunset to find myself surrounded by dead bees. I know this happens in tucson but why isn’t someone coming by picking these up. There were too many.
Great location, great service and we are big fans of Sheraton properties so hope this property gets better.

For the cost it was what you expect for a three star hotel. The rooms are clean and modern enough. In addition, the staff is friendly and helpful.
As far as the hotel restaurant, the 10 burger not worth the price and the restaurant is too far away from the hotel. I especially don’t like this when hiking to morning breakfast. Another minor complaint, the free Wi-​Fi is too slow. I see why they don’t charge.
Regardless of my very minor complaints, the bottom line: the hotel is worth it and I would book again.
Maybe the hotel should offer to charge for better Wi-​Fi?

We arrived on May 22 at 3:30 pm. Checked in and went to our room. Upon entering the room I immediately felt uncomfortable. The hotel seemed outdated. The pillows on the sofa were soiled. There were noticeable scuffs on the furniture. I felt the need to pull off the comforters and replace them with our own blankets. Upon doing so I noticed strands of hair and soiled areas on the outside comforter. We called to guest services and told them about our issue. They let us know they would send a housekeeper. A housekeeper named Ellie arrived about 20 mins later. She explained if OIL was on the comforters they could not remove them. She proceeded to remove the DUVET off the comforter inside. I believe the comforters stay in the room, I think they are never replaced. Just a new DUVET is placed on the comforters. As she took the duvet off, we BOTH notice HUGE SPLOTCHES of blood on the comforter. It was 3 huge areas of HUMAN BLOOD. I was taken back as was she. She immediately took off the comforter rolled it up and told me she would bring me a new duvet and comforter. I asked to speak to a manager. She said she would inform the manager and return. We waited another 20 minutes and she returned with fresh out of the box duvet covers. I was annoyed they were never washed just instantly put on the bed. I asked her ‘did you inform the manager’ she replied ‘i will let her know later and get back to you tomorrow’ i told her ‘no I need to speak to a manager now. So she left the room, we waited another 15 mins and a manager called the room. There was NEVER an apology issued from the manager. Her name was Margaret. She asked me ‘what do you want me to do about this’ I told her ‘did your maid explain to you that there was human blood found on your comforter, as well as hair strands and soiled stains’ her reply was as expected ’ we can not confirm if that was actually blood’ Her attitude was unapologetic. She asked what do you want me to do about this. I felt that she could have handled it better on her end. She offered to put us up into another room and have it inspected. We waited an hour and a half before a room was ready. It was 6:30 pm at this time. The room we were put in was mediocre. The latches on the sliding door did not lock. There were huge water stains on the top ceiling. They patched them up with poor quality. The latch on the sliding room was barely hanging on. I was so disgusted and frustrated at this point. As some type of compensation vouchers to the restaurant were given. I felt that was a way of excusing finding HUMAN BLOOD on the comforters. I was not impressed. The next day we left the room at 9, when we returned at 5:30 our room was never cleaned. I was once again left frustrated. At this point I just wanted to leave.
When we left this horrid hotel on sunday morning. I emailed Sheraton Corporate through their email on the web site. I emailed them 5 times before I received a response. A guy named Emilio reached out to Tucson Sheraton. The manager Margaret explained that she did apologize and downplayed the whole experience. Never once did they acknowledge the HUMAN BLOOD that was found on the comforter. I felt this situation could have been handled better through corporate as well as the manager at the hotel. I never seen a manager during our stay everything on her end was through the telephone. The maid Ellie admitted that this was not the first time this has happened. She admitted that this hotel needs to be updated. My sister also told me the time she has stayed there she encountered cockroaches and dirty towels in the bathroom.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Unless you like sleeping with blood stains and dealing with poor customer service.
I purchased this stay through GROUPON. I reached out to their customer service to let them know what type of hotel they are promoting. Completely professional on their end. They handled it like a company who wanted to make sure their customers were taken care of. They apologized many times for a situation that was not their fault. They responded within hours of my email. Through Sheraton I waited for a week and a half.
I read previous reviews and I believe every bad thing that was written about this hotel.
Save your money and stay at a hotel that is clean and comfortable.

Love this hotel! It has a great courtyard in the middle where the pool and hot tub and restaurant are. Theres two huge firepits and you can get marshmallows to make smores. It seems like kids like it here and the pool is always hopping with people. There are really good sun spots to lay out in as well. Theres a gazebo and is currently a nonsmoking hotel. They allow pets in the rooms with the usual cautions. The club lounge is excellent and has a cool espresso maker and hot breakfast and dinners, really. Its good. the hotel is located next to the hospital but its only a 5 minute drive north to the fancy part of town along Sunrise Drive. There is a lot of bike lanes and you can easily ride to Lemmon from the hotel. There is a dog park near by and a chipotle and jimmy johns and cvs right down the street.

Can’t believe it, this is the fifth time I’ve stayed in this hotel (Sheraton Tucson Hotel & Suites) in the last eight or so months and this time upon check in I’m informed that I will have to pay an additional $ 15 Plus taxes for my five night stay for the king suite verse a king room.
Please keep in mind that everytime I’ve made reservations here in the past I’ve always called ahead to confirm that they actually received my reservation and to request a suite. Each time I’ve called I’ve been told that if they have a suite available upon my check in that this won’t be a problem, and it never has been and I’ve never ever had to pay for it… that is until today.
Upon check in I asked for a suite and was told that they would be glad to put me in a suite for the additional charges per night. I asked why and I explained that I’ve never had to pay an additional fee previously and that if there were suites available that I could have one.
After a few minutes I asked to speak to the manager on duty and lucky for me that happened to be the General Manager for this hotel. After I explained everything again she said she was sorry but that the «policy» had changed and they now have to charge me for this. After I told the GM that I would never be staying at this hotel again based on today’s experience she offered to have my money refunded and that I was free to go to another hotel. I’m guessing that she doesn’t get the whole reason for booking a hotel in advance (let alone for the Memorial Day weekend) is to ensure that you get a lesser rate because now that it’s the Friday evening of Memorial Day weekend I’m sure I’d have no trouble finding another hotel for the price I was able to book this one at several days ago. Good luck with that one!
Now at this point if I was the GM of a business that relied on its customers satisfaction I would have explained that the policy has changed but since you were not aware of it that we would go ahead and let you have the suite this time however please be aware for your future stays with us you will need to be charged the fee. At least that’s how I would have handled it.
I went back to the front desk and asked the clerk when the «policy» changed and he started that he’d never heard about it. I asked for the number to corporate and I was given the number for customer complaints. I also asked if they had plenty of suites available to which the front clerk stated that yes they did have plenty available.
I called and filed my complaint which only took 35 minutes but the lady on the other end of the line seemed concerned and told me that I should receive a call within the next two days from the manager of the hotel I am staying at. I explained again to her that I have already spoken with the GM of this hotel and that I wasn’t holding out for her to call and resolve this anytime soon.
Would I recommend this hotel to anyone? Would you after this experience? Highly unlikely.

I checked into the hotel in the evening. It was dark in the room and I went to bed right away. The bed looked clean when I went to bed because the sheets are white and I have stayed at this hotel one other time on business a couple years ago and didn’t have a reason to strip the bedding and inspect. I woke up in the morning absolutely horrified. I went into a terrible panic realizing that there was blood all over the sheets. The pillow I slept on had blood all over it (I didn’t see it the night before because the pillow was flipped around to hide it). After a taking photos of the sheets I called the front desk and told them I had slept on someone else’s blood all night. They apologized routinely and acted like it was fine and they would just have someone come up and replace the bedding right away. I took a long shower and I was late for a business event I was in town for due to the mornings events with the bloody bed. The lady that came to get the bedding pulled off the main comforter and it was SOAKED in blood on the side of the bedding that was against the window and covered. She would not touch it and squalled. She said she had only worked there for a few days and herself was horrified and apologized profusely telling me they should refund my night and more because of this. She used gloves to remove the bedding I SLEPT ON. YUCK! I can not believe I didn’t see it but then I realized the pillow with blood on it was flipped over and the bedding was hiding on the side by the window and the blood on the sheets was mostly on the opposite side of the bed that someone would get in on. The curtains next to the bed also had blood stains making me wonder what in the world happened in that room and how could they send a guest to sleep in that bed. I essentially paid 170 to sleep in someone else’s blood. Here is the real disappointment showing this hotel has absolutely no care that this happened to me… they did not give me my money back! They said because I booked through expedia there was nothing they could do. (even though expedia obviously paid them… doesn’t make sense). I was nice and at one point when the man helping me said he could give me a $ 25 food credit at their hotel and pulled out a tiny piece of paper with $ 25 toward food at their restaurant I told him I didn’t think he under stood the situation and he said, ‘Ma’am, I do understand but this is all I can do for you”. He ended up giving some points on a rewards card (I don’t use or care about), I was defeated and gave up. I am taking the time to write this review because people need to know what I went though and something should be done about it. I have some photos of the sheets, I wish I would have been smart enough to get photos of the comforter and curtains but I didn’t think about it. I am going to post the photos on Unilocal of the sheets at least. I stayed in the hotel the next night again because I couldn’t find another hotel with open rooms around and I was so tired and have a bad back so decided I couldn’t move hotels. I essentially paid on night two 170 to sleep on a crappy uncomfortable couch, getting the worst night sleep ever. They wouldn’t move me to another room. I was too nice and I know it. I should have thrown a bigger fit but I feel like after they saw the pictures I shouldn’t have had to fight… they should have found a way to refund me for at least the first night to show they cared at all but they don’t. Worst hotel experience of my life and a memory that will bother me for a long time. I hope someone higher up sees this and reaches out to me to do the right thing… better late than never.

I really wanted to like this place because the room wasn’t bad but their customer service is awful.
When I checked in there were four people standing behind the check in counters and only one person working. I waited a few minutes then a girl checked in me but had to keep answering the phone during the process. I’m not sure why the other three people couldn’t answer the phones.
Elevator was old and slow.
Room was outdated and the AC only works in the front room so the bedroom gets stuffy.
Shower was either scalding hot or cold.
One phone in the room didn’t work and the other phone was missing the button to call the front desk.
I called the next morning for a late check out because I didn’t have a meeting till 2 PM. The night manager Peter was rude and wouldn’t give me a late check out. He was rude and I called Starwood corporate to complain about him.
The price may be good but it’s not worth it. Avoid.

This is a bullshit hotel. The rooms are okay, but loud. The phone in my room didn’t work, so I called the hotel on my cell and was placed on hold for 11 minutes. I hung up and walked to the front desk to order room service. Because that’s fun. The front desk advised me that I needed to order directly from the restaurant, so I walked there. The restaurant told me it would be way faster to wait for my order than to get room service. Wtf? For a weary business traveler who just wants to sit in her room and not have to deal with bs red tape and strangers… this is not your hotel. Complete and total amateur hour. Thanks for coming out Sheraton Tucson, will never stay here again.

We go to Tucson ⁴⁄₅ times a year to go to the UMC Cancer Center. We like to stay in nice clean comfortable rooms usually stay at the Windmill Suites but they were under remodel.
For fun I went to Priceline. Wont to that again. In the past I seek ³⁄₅ star hotels and have been very happy. We got the Sheraton.
The lobby is beautiful updated and clean very modern with tV and computer center. Free Wifi.
We went to our room which was in the back of the hotel, had to drive around to the, by the garbage cans. There was a pest control Bed Bug Exterminating Truck parked there, we looked up the second floor windows were open the mattress’s were sittling on sides out the windows! We walking in past the garbage cans, and there is an open air hallway, housekeepers were waiting around for the elevator it opened ant eh Pest control fellow wass bringing out his heavy equipment huge heating fans used to fumigate for BED BUGS … Our room was right below the rooms he just finished. We went in the room, which had a chemical smell, I was getting the creeps a bit knowing BED BUGS were right upstairs. I pulled back the covers, to check the mattress to make sure there were no signs of BED BUGS, what I found was disgusting, the mattress was covered in blood, looked like someone died in the bed.
We went back tot he lobby, asked if they save these special rooms for Priceline? The girl didnt apologize but she did give us another room, said it was an upgrade. We drove to the side ot the building our new room was in a little better location, right under the stairway but okay. Went in,
I was greeted by stains more blood on the curtains covering the french doors, went into the bed area and OMG a huge blood stain and hair on the sheet they used as a dust ruffle to hide the blood stained box spring. Im freaking, the white duvet cover looked clean til I pulled it back to reveal short black hairs. It was late, my husband assured me I wouldnt get Cooties we spent the night. I slept in my clothing and put my extra blouse over the pillow.
They had nice little assortment of toiletries and soaps. I went to use the shaving cream and it had been opened and USED there was caked on dried stuff on the lid. Kooties !!
This place was disgusting not only old hard mattress’ but the dirt, stains, used toiletries horrible!
PET FRIENDLY make sure to ask if a DOG stayed in your room before you? They are not careful about deep cleaning. I didnt know this was a PET hotel or I would not have booked it .
Not a safe atmosphere for a single lady, you enter through metal security doors into an open air hallway, the room doors are french doors with windows .
Check the mattress before sleeping, if you see blood stains it is a sign of BED BUGS.

Will never go back, EVER. I understand things can go wrong, but it was the lack of customer service and compassion that I got from the Manager that makes me feel that they didn’t care at all.
An employee walked into our room unannounced around 10:00 PM while me and my wife were naked. Then our air conditioner broke in the middle of the night waking us up because it was emitting a loud noise, similar to an old dryer buzz alarm. Then the next day our elevator was broken, so my 5 months pregnant wife had to climb 4 flights of stairs. I tried to call the front desk to complain but our room was also missing it’s phone.
We complained at the desk and the staff member informed me that because it was booked through
that he «Could not refund me» but would move me to another room and upgrade it to a suite, and even gave us breakfast buffet vouchers. I gladly accepted but the problems still persisted because in our new room there was no hot water.
We came down to Tucson to say good bye to our grandmother who passed away, so this bad experience topped with the Manager just shrugging her shoulders at me when I told her of all my problems was just too much. They REFUSED to refund me, saying that giving me a bigger room despite it having no hot water should be good enough. No it is not. They offered me reward points for some program that I am not enrolled in, that wouldn’t even cover another two night stay, so I refused.
I contacted
and they told me the Hotel CAN refund me, so therefor the staff at the Sheraton lied to me over and over again. Nothing but a huge disappointment all the way around.
