History

Established in 2008.

All Green was established in 2008 after our CEO and Founder Arman Sadeghi saw a special on the show 60-Minutes about electronics waste. Arman Sadeghi decided that he wanted to do something about the problem and spent the next 6 months designing a system to re-purpose and recycle IT Equipment and electronics right here in the United States.

All Green was started in Orange County, CA but is now a nationwide company providing services in all 50 states.

Arman Sadeghi founded All Green Recycling in 2008 after watching a «60 Minutes» expose on the current state of electronics recycling in the United States. Due to the extraordinary growth of the company, All Green moved to its current headquarters in Tustin, CA in 2010 and is already planning a move to a third and even larger facility by mid-2012.

Prior to starting All Green, Arman showed his entrepreneurial spirit by starting a computer company in his parents’ garage at the age of 15. Arman then attended the University of California at Berkeley and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular and Cell Biology and attended Medical School at Harvard. Prior to starting All Green, Arman owned a restaurant, started a nightclub and a successful retail consulting company for several years. All Green had just 1 employee in June of 2009 and today has over 139 employees! This year, the company is on pace to double in size. I paid for the service upfront. Put three televisions on my driveway for pickup between 8 – 5 pm. No one ever came to pickup the items and no one ever called. I am annoyed because I put those televisions out at 6 am. I called four times and no one ever answered the phone. The last call I was able to leave a message. I paid for a service and I expect it to be done in a timely manner.
At around 6pm the driver called and it turned out he went up to Ventura County. He apologized and picked up everything up shortly after 7pm. Only thing I can complain about is not receiving a call earlier and no one answering my previous calls at the office.

Be very, very sure you will need them before you call! I needed some small electronic items picked up in less than three days. I was informed of a three day no refund policy but did not fully realize that would apply to my canceling the pickup. That was my error. I was not permitted to cancel, and I lost the charge to my credit card. I was given an explanation of why the policy exists that I can partially understand. But there is also a matter of the right thing to do.
Bottom line is this: be very sure you need them. If the items left outside as instructed get scavenged, you’re still going to pay for the pickup. I’d suggest a free public recycling drop off location.

I wanted to recommend All Green Electronics to anyone considering an E-Waste event. They assisted me every step of the way and the result exceeding my expectations. The crew arrived on time and ready to work. They were so professional and extremely friendly to all the families that stopped by with donations. Even to the people that showed up with items that were clearly not qualified E-waste items. I was with them the entire day and it was non-stop loading and unloading and they never got grumpy. I would not hesitate to host an event with All Green again.
Check out their certifications (eSteward, NAID, etc.) and realize not all e-waste collectors are the same. If you care about the environment, locally and globally, and about data security, these should matter to you

Going through old reviews and realized this was highly inaccurate. Yes, they are ethical but greedy as hell. Don’t even bother unless you have at least ten items or they’ll charge you for a pick up. I don’t trust them with my hard drives either. They have a business that works with them to resell the electronics they pick up.

DO NOT USE THEM FOR FUND RAISING! WASTE OF TIME!
We did an event with All Green last month. We had lots of volunteers and donors. We contacted our community leaders and reached out. We had a FABULOUS turn out. There was a line the entire time of the event. All Green did NOT bring sufficient staff to unload the cars. Some people left because they didn’t want to wait. They were slow.
BUT WORST OF ALL: They gave us a list of what they would accept, we made sure everyone knew. What they didn’t say is that there are QUALIFYING and NON-QUALIFYING items.
Over half of what we collected was non-qualifying, what that means, I don’t know because THEY NEVER TOLD US.
We waited 3 weeks to be told we made FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS, on over 15,000 lbs. of collected E-Waste.
Waste of Time.
They are greedy, slow and ill managed.

I had a great first experience with this vendor. I’ve used Goodwill eWaste service for on-location pickup of commercial ewaste in the past, and have found them to be great for large quantity pickups. I had (so I thought) only 15 items or so to be picked up, a mixture of LCD monitors, servers, tower computers, and the like — too few for Goodwill eWaste service. I was going to go with a «free pickup» vendor but they could not provide any assurances of their process being ethical or that hard drives would be wiped or shredded. All Green was going to come pick these items up for an $ 8 fee! Cheaper than the cost of employee time to drive it to a local collection facility.
I announced to my company that we’d have a free ewaste pickup and to bring what they had. Minimal participation but the CEO mentioned «some stuff in the warehouse.» That turned out to be 4 pallets (!) of ewaste. All Green was able to quickly change the pickup to the larger amount the day of scheduled pickup. They did charge an additional $ 30 for one pallet of «non-qualified» waste which has lower value for recycling (phones, etc) but again, totally reasonable, and they picked it up here.
Check out their certifications (eSteward, NAID, etc.) and realize not all ewaste collectors are the same. If you care about the environment, locally and globally, and about data security, these should matter to you.

I wish i could give them no stars. If your thinking about becoming a drop off location… don’t do it! They do not pick up unless you bitch and complain. The sooner we can stop our service with them the better. Looking for a new e-waste company.

I’ll update if things change.
I called to setup a pickup for 5 old TVs, some CPUs, cables, small electronics, etc.
They said the cost is $ 96. I said that was too much, and they changed to $ 26 because a truck was in the area the following week. The evening before, I hire a couple of guys to carry all the stuff to my driveway.
Then I get a call around 2 p.m. on the day scheduled for pickup and was told their truck broke down. So, I have an entire driveway full of electronics. The earliest they can pickup is another week! So I have my stuff tarped in the driveway in hopes next week their truck actually makes it to my house. Not even an apology or an offer to discount the pickup cost for the inconvenience. Let’s just hope I don’t get ticketed by the city for having this stuff in my driveway for a week.

Our company had a cart full of old computer parts that we needed to recycle. I found All Green Electronics on Google and scheduled a pick-up. They arrived on the day/time scheduled and picked everything up. They were much less expensive than anticipated which was a big plus. We will use their services again in the future.

we had a computer tower, old microwave, a large copier, and a computer monitor sitting around for a long time. i finally called on wednesday to schedule a pick-up and they made the appointment for the next day. i received an email the same day confirming the appointment, the next morning i received a call to confirm and they were at curbside right at the scheduled time. it was extremely convenient and the price for pick-up was nominal. i highly recommend them.

Needed a reliable company to destroy a server from our business. Great customer service from beginning to end. Someone called to confirm the appt. the day before. The day of the appt. the driver called 30 min. prior to arrival. He was on-time, picked up the server and was out the door in less than 15 minutes. The charge for pick-up and certification was reasonable, $ 48. I would recommend All Green Electronics Recycling Company to anyone needing this type of service.

Easy to schedule and impressive how much weight 1 guy can pick up since these were 2 old clunker of tubed TVs from the 80s. They picked up from North OC on Fridays which was convenient and came earlier in the 7 hour window that was quoted. The coordinator Ryan was easy to work with and I didn’t have any concerns that the pickup wouldn’t happen despite my parents’ worries, which is more the norm about anything.

This was great! I had 3 tvs, a vcr and a washing machine to junk. Googled «electronic recycling» in Maps and this place was right next to my house in Tustin. Turns out the Tustin office is the only one that takes washing machines, so I would call and double check what you are dumping before you go:) There was no one in the front office but a sign said knock for service and they came right out. Had us drive to the rollup door and the guys there came right away and unloaded all our stuff for us. Great customer service. The one thing I noticed in the one star reviews was a lot of miscommunication on the part of the reviewers. A phone call is so easy to make your life easy:) So make sure you call ahead before you drop off to make sure they accept what you are offering; and if you get lost at the office, call because they answer right away. These guys are great and we will definitely use them again:)

All Green Recycling has now made two pickups for me. Online scheduling is extremely easy. Both times I had very large, outdated TVs that were too heavy for me to get into the car, I would never have been able to take them somewhere. All Green came and got them from my driveway on the scheduled day. They also took an extra box of small electronic recyclables like chargers and remotes at no extra charge. My coordinator Ryan was extremely efficient, the second time I scheduled them I dropped the ball and didn’t follow through finishing the order, and he called until he got me and I got a scheduling date. I would highly recommend them to anyone, they provide a very needed service at a reasonable cost.

I’m not going to even venture a guess as to why the one star reviews; I have no problem at all giving them 5 stars! At home I package up all of my recyclables and take them over to one of those places where you sort yourself, they weigh and pay you some for what you bring to them. In my opinion, my time is worth more than the few dollars I get by taking my things in. With that being said, at my place of business we replace a lot of electronics; mostly big heavy tube TV’s. All Green Electronics Recycling comes to our place of business and picks everything up. Yes, they charge a fee; a whopping $ 8.00. For a pallet full of old Tube TV’s, computer monitors and other electronics, this is a screamin’ deal!
Their process is super simple too. You can fill out a form on their website stating exactly what you have to recycle. Kimberly will call you to confirm and explain all of the details. She is super friendly, and I’m not being nice just because we share the same name. She told me this last time that I don’t even need to use their online form next time, I can just email her with the item list and she will fill out everything for me! Recycling old electronics has never been easier!
I’ve used them twice in the past 6 months, and will continue to use them as long as we are in business! Thank you Kimberly and the friendly drivers!

I had electronic waste to return and learned of Green Electronics Recycling on the internet. However, when I drove to the nearest address listed, I found a Verizon store with no indication that they also were a drop off site for Green Electronics Recycling! (One star off for this.)
Upon calling Green Electronic’s 800 number, I was immediately connected to Kimberly who was most helpful in assisting me. She explained that Verizon was, in fact, a drop-off site and stated she would inform management of the need for signage. She then reviewed options for both deleting data on as well as recycling my two hard drives and scheduled a pick up at my home the following week. She then followed this up with an email to make sure I was satisfied. Her customer service was seamless and not only took care of my hard drives, but provided me with peace of mind… priceless!

You might want to try scheduling a pick-up rather than dropping off. I live just a few minutes away, so I stopped by around 11:00am on a Tuesday to recycle some old items. Unfortunately, there was nobody to actually accept my items. I stood outside the Consumer Drop-off door for a while, and rang the door bell several times. Nobody ever came out, so I left.
I wanted to just leave my stuff outside the door, but they had a sign saying «No illegal dumping» and camera pointing right at me.

Very Friendly Staff!
There was a recycling event @ Whole Foods Tustin parking lot today. I recycled an old rice cooker, desktop computer with keyboard, 2 Blackberry phones, stereo system, a Game Boy, and some batteries.
They recycle pretty much all electronic items: from TVs, VCRs, Computers, cameras, old cell phones, game systems, fax machines, ink cartridges, printers, microwaves, record players, records, cassette tapes, vhs tapes, DVDs, rotary phones, etc.
Even cables & wires!
