AVSG After Hours provides emergency care for your dog or cat seven days a week. After Hours is an extension of the Advanced Veterinary Specialty Group’s practices providing overnight care for hospitalized patients, transfer and monitoring of overnight patients for the local veterinary community, and after hours receiving and emergency services for our referring practice clients and the local community.

History

Established in 2013.

After Hours is a collaborative effort of the specialists of Veterinary Surgical Specialists and Advanced Veterinary Internal Medicine. We are located in the Advanced Veterinary Specialty building to the left of the MetroLink station. After Hours was established in 2013 to provide a means to bring your pet directly to the attention of a specialists and ensure your pet will receive the most advanced care at any hour. We are the NEW emergency practice in Jamboree plaza, smaller in size, but bigger in service.

AVSG After Hours was amazing. My dog had an emergency last night and they were able to help me out right away. The location itself is beautiful and they make you feel very comfortable. All the staff I met was so nice and helpful! I would definitely recommend this place for any and all of your pets emergency or after hours needs. They are reasonably priced and don’t charge an arm and a leg considering it is an emergency hospital. I’m feel so lucky to have found this place. Thank you staff!

I came to this facility on 2 occasions with 2 different dogs. I cannot say enough good things about this facility. The entire staff, along with the veterinarians, far exceeded my expectations when it came to service, compassion, and pricing. To be quite honest, their prices were lower than some other mon-​fri 9am-​6pm clinics.

I brought our 10 week old Chocolate Labrador here at 3am on a Saturday morning. The facility was very clean and the staff was extremely nice. The veterinarian was very helpful and took her time to go over any concerns I had. I thought going to the vet at 3am would light my wallet on fire but I was very surprised to see the exam fee was less than Irvine Pet Complex was even with an appointment there.
The best part was they didn’t try upselling me at all. My puppy had a bee sting and was having an allergic reaction. They gave her 2 shots, some medication and we were on our way in less than an hour.

The front office staff and the techs were fantastic. I will also say that dr. Chung was nice, and professional, unfortunately I had a couple of issues with her. I was charged $ 139.00 for an exam fee and the doctor never touched my dog in front of me. I can only assume she did the exam when she took him into the back. Also, I had requested to be there while my dog was getting his ultrasound and she did it without me. I understand the business but I also know that my dog was sick and scared and she said that I could be there for the ultrasound and it was not able to be a part of that test. The front staff was amazing and very empathetic, but I don’t feel that my dog received an exam worth $ 139.00 well I guess I can’t really say that since I have no idea what kind of exam he received since she had a tech take him to the back… like I said she never even touched him in the room while I was there, very disappointing.

I have taken my boxer puppy here 2 times now (troublemaker) but the first was very serious for a bee sting. The nurses/​vets and staff were SOO nice, helpful, and nursed my puppy back to his normal state after nearly not making it. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs urgent care for their fur children :)
