Fusion Tea Bar

I love this tea bar. They are usually not super packed, and their drinks are great!
Teas taste fresh and has that «tea» flavor, and they easily customize sweetness levels to your liking. I usually get a green milk tea, or almond milk tea, but when I’m really in the mood for a treat, i’ll get one of their dessert drinks (share with a friend!)

— Acai Breeze: light and refreshing. hint of fruit. not too sweet.
— Strawberry Milky Way: if you like strawberries, omg. I had a hard time sharing this one
— Halo Halo: You’ll need a spoon to eat this one. I’ve never had halo halo before so this was really interesting, but very tasty!
— Fusion Fruit Tea: Also very light and refreshing. hint of fruit that’s not overpowering
FOOD
— I love that they serve a variety of snacks and desserts here. Sometimes it’s nice to have something to eat with your drink
— Macaroons. Large in size, surprisingly good! I’ve tried several flavors and they were all good
— Cronut: this was just okay. probably would have been delicious straight out of the oven, but mine was very oily tasting. like all the grease that should have been fused into the dough was on the outside of it. I guess that’s how a lot of deep fried things taste after its cooled down and have been sitting there for too long.

I discovered this place about a year ago when the whole cronut craze was going on. In case you haven’t heard of this craze, a cronut is basically a hybrid between a croissant and and donut. It’s light and flakey and usually some sort of filling inside. Fairly new in the news and created by a chef in New York, slowly donut shops, cafes and dessert places were making their own version of this cronut and calling it something else because the name was trademarked. I found this place through Unilocal.I worked in the area so I made it a point to come here one day after work. Here, they called it a doughssaunt. Get it? Doughnut + croissaint = doughssaunt!
FOOD CONSUMPTION:
DOUGHSSAUNT/​CRONUT: When I first tried it, they only had one type of filling– custard. Nowadays they have a variation. I’ve recently had the strawberry and nutella to their creamy filling at their Fountain Valley location. That one is delicious! (4.5 stars)
HALO-​HALO: It’s been a while since I had this. I remember it was big. I think my friend liked it. Not very memorable so I’m giving it 3 stars
MACARONS: They have some good flavors and some just alright. I forget. I do remember that I didn’t like the Taro flavored one… I couldn’t even swallow it, I had to spit it out. I did like the fruit pebble and Ferraro rocher one.
POPCORN CHICKEN: It’s your average Asian style popcorn chicken with that sweet/​chili seasoning. 3.5 stars
CALAMARI: It’s ok. tolerable 3 stars
MILKY WAY: They have two types of boba– White and Black boba. See my pics for definition of each. I alter this drink to be similar to the one at Honeyboba. It’s good, but I prefer the one at Honeyboba better. I don’t think their egg pudding has the same consistency. I do like their boba though. (3.5 stars)
I’ve had other menu items I just can’t remember. But over all this place is good to try.
CUSTOMER SERVICE/​LOCATION FACTS:
It was usually pretty good. This is their first location. Since then they’ve opened up a couple more. This one has different teas they sell. I don’t think the others do. They also have free wifi which is good. They have a rewards cards system. I think you get 1 free drink for every 10.

I came here today with a girlfriend and decided to try their honey green milk tea with white boba. My girlfriend had the almond milk tea with lychee jelly and boba. I really wanted to try the green tea boba but apparently it’s only available on Saturdays. BOO.
Service was good but I wasn’t a huge fan of my drink. Not sure if it was the honey flavor or what but there was a slightly weird strong flavor on each initial sip. I took a sip of my girlfriend’s drink and while I do like almond milk tea, I found her drink to be way too sweet for my liking. They serve a variety of drinks and desserts here including macarons but I was way too stuffed from eating AYCE Korean BBQ that I had no room for dessert. I was really exciting to try this place since its so close to my house. I had a good first impression! The service and ambiance was great and if you check-​in via Unilocal you can get a 15% discount! The only problem I had with this place was that all the chairs and tables were still stacked up at 12pm on Sunday… Good thing I bought a drink to-​go otherwise I would have no there to sit.
I had a the fusion fruit tea with boba. The drink was not too sweet. I loved the lychee and strawberry bits inside the drink! I want to come back to try out their macaroon ice cream sandwiches!

Anyways, I decided to yolo and get 4 things
1. Rose cream tea– it’s off the menu but I heard good things about it. They took a while to make it but it ended up pretty good. Think rose tea with cream on top haha.
2. Flower power– I didn’t like it. I couldn’t taste anything but my bf said it was refreshing. After I cleansed my mouth of my rose cream tea, I could taste it but it tastes just like chrysanthemum tea lol. Remember to get the big straw! My bf didn’t get the memo that there were aloe chunks in the drink so he got the small straw and bounced lol
3. Fruity pebble ice cream macaron– so each day, they only have a few flavors available. That day, they only had fruity pebbles… But it wasn’t even fruity pebbles, it was capn crunch! And I didn’t really like it BC the cereal around it was stale and soggy. I would try the other flavors though.
3. Lastly, I got the ferrero rocher macaron. Like everyone has said, the size is huge for the price! However, don’t leave it out unrefrigerated or else the middle part will melt significantly. I never had that happen to any macaron I ate before! But it was good. I wish I ate it before it melted lol
Anyways, cool thing about this place is that they suggest telling them if you don’t like your drink so they can alter it for you. They are very accommodating and their customer service was on par. However, nothing was mind blowing to me so I won’t be back unless I’m in the area.

I’ve heard of this place before and had no idea it was so close to my work! First of all, really friendly staff! Everyone was nice, all smiles, got everything out to us in a timely manner. My boyfriend and I shared a chocolate milk tea with boba, their hot fries and hot popcorn chicken. Everything was delicious, and really well portioned for the price. This is probably the cheapest I’ve paid for boba or for the food at a boba place. Other places will usually charge way more for a smaller potion but I was actually kinda full afterwards. I also really liked the
vibe of the place; it was pretty chill, not too many people, not super loud, and they played good music! I’m really glad I tried this place out, now I’ll have a great place to go to wait out the traffic before heading home!

I have only tried two flavors of macaroons and a thai tea ice cream macaron sandwich. I could give 4 & ½ stars but macaroon were a tad sweet, so half star down there.
Their ice cream macaroon sandwich was just same as the M*** in LA. It was just perfect. Not too milky, not too sherbety, perfectly gooey macaroons, and real thai tea flavor. I don’t have to drive up all the way to LA no more!
Ferrero Rocher macaroon was fat, thick, big and tasted just like the chocolate. Creamy hazelnut cream with crushed almonds covered goodness!
Friendly staff, nice and modern interior, only if they wipe the tables often, a perfect apot to relax and enjoy sweets. I would love to come back to try other flavors!

I came here on a lunch break, but actually my stop was next door at Honeybaked. I went to get a ham sandwich, and popped in here to check it out. My coworker ooh’d and aaahhh’d at the tea variety and so we decided to get a Flower Bomb and an Antioxident Tea.
I guess our teas are made to order (which means very fresh) so lucky we were not in a hurry. The wait took about 10 minutes and my Flower Bomb was very good. I ordered it semi sweet but it was still pretty sweet. I can only imagine what a «normal» tea would taste.
The place has free wifi, tv to watch, about 6 tables/​chairs/​booths, and if you’re hungry, they offer snacks like popcorn chicken, eggrolls, and dessert items like macarons and croisnut or whatever they’re called.
There’s ample parking but since the strip mall is across the parking lot from the popular Gen, and other eateries, finding a close spot may be harder.

I recommend:
Flower Bomb Tea-​slightly sweet with aloe in it. Love the flowers in it, such a pretty drink.
CocoTaro Froyo-​Very sweet, don’t like the artificial taste of coconut in it. It tasted waxy.
Coconut Green Milk Tea-​Terrible and gross!
My Thai-​Not for me. Did not like most of the gummies/​jellies in it.
Love the white boba, mini boba, chia seeds, basil seeds, aloe, so many add-​ons!
Love the macarons! Ferrero Rocher and Pistachio are my favorites.
Love the macaron ice cream sandwiches!!! I really like the Mung Bean.
Music is awesome. Booths are cozy. Great place to relax after work and hang out.

Interesting choice drinks and names. I got the Milky Way and it was a bit too sweet for me but good. Its actually the same slush with boba and pudding I get at another boba shop but for $ 1.5 less! (Check in on fb and they give you a discount)
Place looks good but omg, went one night around 8pm and the whole place had a really strong clorox smell. Its good that they want to keep the place clean but the smell was overpowering and the staff was spraying cleaning products on the tables right next to us.
Definitely want to go back and try more but id have to sit outside or take it to go!

I stopped by this place before going home, and got 3 macarons and a hot oolong tea with honey.
Macarons: I got reese’s peanut butter cup, ferrero rocher, and cookies and cream. The macarons were a little less than $ 2 each, which is standard pricing, but they were bigger than the average macaron. I liked their creative flavors (a little sick of seeing the same flavors over and over again), and the taste was solid. Good ganache to shell ratio, and I think my favorite was the ferrero rocher.
The tea was a little sweeter than I would’ve liked, but it was still good. Check in to get 15% off! I basically paid $ 8 for everything. Totally worth it!

I stopped by a couple of times after work and it’s definitely my go-​to place for good boba drinks around the Irvine/​Tustin area.
— Mango Tango: My favorite! It includes small mango and pineapple bits on the bottom.
— Doughssant: Like a croissant, but fried like a donut. They’ll add a cream filling into it before giving it to you. It’s a perfect snack that’s not too overly sweet.
— Macarons: They have so many flavors I love! Definitely worth a try. They’re bigger than normal macarons as well for around $ 1.75-$ 2(?)
Friendly staff, chill atmosphere, and free wi-​fi? I’m definitely coming back!

Fusion tea bar is so tiny compared to Tea Bar Starry (arcardia) and Tea Bar Jungle (rowland heights)! There’s definitely not as many tables and seats. I thought I could study here as I could at the other tea bars.
Anyway, parking is ok. This plaza is super packed because of Gen (the Korean bbq restaurant across the parking lot). Lines can get long during rush hour. All the tables inside are booths facing the tea bar.
I like their honey green milk tea. The flower bomb is pretty good — I think it’s their most popular one. The flower petals look great in photos, but in reality, it sucks when you’re drinking it. I don’t like drinking up the petals and then having to spit them out. Their boba is ok, too.
I didn’t like the popcorn chicken. It was pretty bitter, and even the sweet and sour sauce wasn’t enough to cover it up. I was expecting more salty.
.On a side note, Cream Pan is not too far away from here! Grab a drink here and get a baked good there: P (and there’s enough room to study there –ish)

I’m not a fan of tea drinks so don’t go by my review. Gotta be honest there.
We were looking for a light dessert after our curry dinners so we decided to head to Fusion across the street.
Upon entrance, anyone nearing the age of 50 feels old. Boba places are always filled with youngsters. I think you get that at most places tho. The store seems somewhat sterile with all the glass and glossy surfaces, not very warm and inviting.
We ordered our drinks but had to wait for some time before they popped out. Seems like they were short-​staffed that night.
Drinks:
Azuki drink — very milky with hard azuki beans. I’m a fan of the soft schmushy type.
Mango thingy — sister loved it.
Food:
Doughssant — very tasty! Me likey! Hubby likey too. That foo gobbled up the entire thing before I could get my second bite.
So come for the mango drink, don’t bother trying the azuki bean and make sure you get a few good bites of the doughssant before your husband inhales it.

I’ve been coming here ever since their grand opening, and this is my hands down favorite boba place I’ve ever had.
I’ve had almost everything off their menu lol, and no matter what I get, it’s pretty good! My favorites are the fusion fruit tea, mango tango, and the caramel green tea macchiato. They always have new things on their menu — but it’s more like a secret menu because they’re posted on Instagram and not on their official menu. But I do like trying the new drinks they create!
Their drinks are made fresh from loose leaf teas which is A+ for me. I hate places like Lollicup and etc. who make a big batch and keep it in the fridge. When I come here, I can see them making the tea for me.
I’m also a HUGE HUGE fan of their macarons! They’re HUGE and delicious! On some days it’s hit or miss (I’ve been getting these for over a year and I’ve had ones that have tasted like cardboard :()but for the most part they are sooo good. I always post pictures of their macarons on my Instagram, and now when people see the little clear box in my pictures, they KNOW I’ve stopped by Fusion to get my macaron fix! Haha
Snacks are also delicious too — their popcorn chicken is never dry! It’s a little bit expensive for what you get (I wish the portions were slightly bigger), but honestly the flavor is better than whatever you’ll get at other boba places.
The interior is nice and clean. Tables are spacey, and décor is modern.
The only thing that I would have to complain about how sometimes this place is really a hit or miss when I come here. I love this place to pieces but some days, I get treated like «I just want you to get your drink and get outta here», and sometimes I feel more welcomed. When my drink is made in 20 seconds, I honestly feel like they just threw everything together and want me out lol.
I’ve been pimping this place since it opened, and I tell ALL my friends and followers to come here, and so far they’ve all had good experiences! :)
PS. Shoutout to LYSAA and JLEE who ALWAYS gives me exceptional service and goodies and you guys make me an extremely happy girl when I come here! I don’t see you guys as much as I used to anymore :(But hopefully I will next time I come!

Neat little boba/​tea shop that has a variety of teas to choose from. They have all their teas on display and you are able to open their containers to smell them, good idea to help you figure out what kind you want.
We ordered Acai Breeze with lychee jelly and boba. The drink was fairly fruity and fairly sweet. The sweetness wasn’t a syrupy sweet, hate way too sweet drinks from boba spots. Fairly big size and cheap. On top of that, we managed to try out their milk tea. I can say I wouldn’t mind coming back for it, pretty tasty. I think I prefer this spot over some of the usual spots in OC.
We tried two of their macarons. We ordered the cookies and cream plus the Ferrero Rocher (I know!). The cookies and cream flavor was pretty bomb. Rich in taste and tasted milky. The Ferrero Rocher flavor was amazing!!! I loved it! Taste exactly like a Ferrero Rocher candy. Mind = blown!
Employees are nice, they help you with your questions. The place looks like a nicer version of yogurt land (the color scheme) and they have comfy couches to sit on.

I gave this place 4 stars because I like that their menu has a lot of interesting options (you get tired of the usual choices when there are so many boba places) and because I am in love with their jasmine green tea with sea salt, cream, and caramel (the green tea machiatto). It is divine and I haven’t had anything like that anywhere else yet! The creaminess, sweetness, saltiness, and hint of tea is just a huge YES!
We’ve tried their macarons too and they are good but maybe on the too-​mega-​sugary-​sweet side (which says something when I have a really impressive sweet tooth). The croissant donut with the deep fried sugary outside, crispy croissant, and custard inside was pretty good — best shared since it’s huge! Honestly, we believe this gave us a bit of an upset stomach (I won’t get all TMI on you) so I’m not sure how fresh the cronuts are (we got the last one at night). Just a heads up!

Probably my favorite tea bar in Orange County. Seriously.

Still my favorite place to go to for a variety of drinks and items to satisfy any sweet cravings! The size of macarons have fluctuated a couple times since it opened, but it has always been larger than what I’m used to seeing. The Viet coffee one is probably still my favorite! Their «doughssants» are well worth a try or two! They make them fresh daily, so get them while they’re fresh! These are the type of pastry that is good the next day!
I’ve tried so many different drinks here. The flower bomb (with or without the flower petals) is really tasty and refreshing. The green tea caramel macchiato is a really good one without the coffee taste. I’ve had the Cocoberry slush more than a few times and is a combination of a couple of my favorite things: strawberries and coconut! Their pandan delight is a mung bean, pandan flavored drink that is good if you like mung bean or those pandan waffles!
My favorite drink is an iced CMT! Strong enough coffee taste, but also a lot of sweetness! I live dangerously close to Fusion, but that’s not a totally bad thing!
Don’t forget to get the electronic stamp card! I’ve already gotten 3 – 4 free drinks with it! You can always adjust the sweetness of your drinks! Just ask!
