I have came here for more than 6 years and the taste of jaampong and jja jang mein is just too good. It is Godlike! I get sahm sun jja jang and jampong and not the regular kind because there are more veges and seafood in it. For the price I pay, the quantity is big that I usually have to share it with one other person. Their Mabo Tofu is also amazing, not too spicy but just perfect. Their cabbage kimchi is always on point and yummy. I love their sizzling rice soup and you can hear the rixe sizzling when they pour it in the soup once they bring it to you. All the ingredients are fresh, and I am very sensitive to msg and my lips swell if there are somewhat of it and this place, that never happend. I can truly taste the fire from the food, the fire that is coated when the chef is mixing rhe ingredients from the wok coz it has the unique smell and flavor. The service is also great. I don’t know why so many ppl are complaining but the owner and all the waitress are just so kind and helpful. They really gice great recommendations. Overall, I wish they can move to closer by so I can go here daily! Every penny I spent here is worth it:)

Jjajang and sweet and sour pork was absolutely horrible. Threw everything away I couldn’t continue to eat. However, their other Chinese food(fried rice and beef broccoli) was okay. But I will never order koreanchinese food.

I ordered fried shrimp, beef with mushrooms, and jjam-ppong. The crisp of fried shrimp was to the point, the mushrooms were so fresh and flavorful, and I thought Jjam Ppong was great– not too salty but just spicy enough with lots of real seafood(not premade/chopped squid but with whole baby octopus). I didn’t ask to make jjam-ppong extra spicy or bit more salty but i’m sure they can accommodate that if you asked them. I would come back here in heartbeat!!! Love love love!

This is my favorite Korean Chinese restaurant. They have authentic Korean style chinese food I used to eat in Korea. Their food is a little bit salty for me but pretty delicious with generous portion. I recommend pork tangsu and spicy jjajangmyun. The restaurant seems pretty old. The restaurant itself is not dirty, but I do not like using their restroom because it’s old and smelly. That’s the only thing I do not like about this restaurant. The servers are nice and the owner takes good care of his customers.

Don’t visit this horrible place. Food were fine but two old females near the entrance showed really dirty manner to customers. They always pick up receipt immediately as soon as you finished your signature and check the amount. If they don’t like your tip amounts, you will see the most horrible, dirty and disgusting facial expressions from two old females near the entrance when you leave their restaurant. Felt them so pathetic…

I don’t write a whole lot of reviews. When I do its either really amazing or its pretty bad. That said this review will be the latter. Being Korean, I was craving Korean Chinese food, re champong and chachamyong. Living near Irvine I went to search for a Chinese restaurant that offered such. The only one was this place unless I wanted to travel to garden grove. The service from the bus boy was bar none. Very attentive. Yes, the bus boy. Not the server who disappeared and decided to take on a large table, but the bus boy. The only positive to my experience here. Chachamyong was of a different color, very light and very watery. One word describing the food… YIKES! Champong was better but still wasn’t that good. The noodles were different, thinner therefore it was obvious they didn’t make their own noodles. I don’t foresee myself coming here again.

I think the dishes I have tried here must be one of the best Korean style Chinese in OC. I like this place better than Young Pung or any other places in GG. Tang soo yuk batter is pretty similar to Yong King in LA or Hong Kong ban jum. Light starchy crispy batter which I like. No fancy veggies are in the sauce but one of the least sweet sauce. Jja jang myun here has a lighter color, more like caramel color, not too saucy, but after I mix them, it all became salty enough. Not enough veggies in the sauce, also I didn’t like the ground beef, but noodle texture and sauce flavor is good. Kung pao shrimp is one of my favorite here, well balanced garlic flavor of the sauce, tempura battered completely peeled shrimps inside, and they serve it super hot! Maybe some people complain everything tastes bland, but I was glad that I wasn’t thirsty or too sleepy after eating here. All dishes come fast and hot. Interior is old, not in an interesting area or a mall, service is just ok, but to fix my Korean Chinese food craving, I no longer have to go any far.

The food here is great My husband always gets the Kung pao beef which is very good. I get the black bean sauce noodle and seafood soup. Both are very flavorful and some of the best iv had(of the Korean dishes). We’ve never ate at the restaurant, but always order for pickup so I don’t know how service is, but when we do order to go, it’s always neatly packed and nothing has ever been missing in our order. By the way, their kimchi is delicious!

THREESTARS? REALLY? This place may very well be the most deliciously amazing Chinese food restaurant I’ve been to in close to 30 years. Simply AWESOME. The service is quick, there’s a multi-ethnic staff. We were served by a older spunky Chinese lady who said she’s been working at this restaurant for 24 years. She’s not even the owner. 24 years. That says a lot about the workplace environment and how they treat their staff. The restaurant was full and very busy, but the manager and owner came by my table to say hello and conversed with us cordially. The prices are reasonable/comparable to most other restaurants of its kind. Some items a dollar or two more than the competition. BUT the food is not comparable! This place far outperforms all other restaurants I’ve been to. They bring the food out quickly, but freshly made to order. Nothing was under or over cooked. The balance in seasoning was impeccable — nothing too sweet, too salty, too spicy. I ordered tangsooyook(pork), walnut shrimp, lajogi(chicken), yoosamsa, jjajangmyun(black bean noodle), and jjamppong. My favorite Chinese restaurant, before today, was in Cerritos, 15 minutes from where I live, but I think I’ll have to drive 40 minutes down more often because this place has won my heart.

Black bean noodle is good and the jjam pong is good too. Not good enough for 4 stars but somewhere between 3 and 4. Sometimes the sauce is tastier than other days. The food for the most part is yummy but the place just feels kind of dirty.

The first time my parents took me to this place, I was in love! I have been here several times since. This place has the most amazing food! Talk about authentic!!! You know it’s authentic when you walk in and all of their customers are Chinese themselves. Their food has to be good, right?! Right! The food is fresh, it gets to the table quickly, and anything you order is delicious. We’ve had everything from egg rolls to potstickers, wor wonton soup, hot and sour soup, fried rice, white rice, chow mein, orange chicken, broccoli beef, three gems, and more. Everything we have had we’ve liked. However, they are pretty pricey! I guess my biggest complaint is they aren’t very friendly or attentive. Usually we have to hunt down someone to help us when we need something. I feel like the waiter or waitress takes our order and that’s it. It won’t stop me from going, but you would think customer service is important. And, just so you know, they don’t give refills on drinks. They are now serving you your soda with a cup of ice and a can. Don’t ask my Dad about this, it’s a sore subject! Haha

This place is really good. Definitely a really strong Asian influence as you would imagine. I had a friend who recommended the place so I decided to try it out. They have a lunch special that is really worth it. Anywhere from $ 7 – 10 for a choice of meat, wanton, egg roll, fried rice/steamed rice and soup. It’s not too much food and not too little, it’s a really good serving. The servers are nice. Don’t speak a WHOLE lot of English but they make it work and are helpful for the most part

Prices are around 2 to 3 more dollars in comparison to the Korea Towns in the surrounding areas. Service is mediocre. Charge $ 3 for a pitcher of tea which is ridiculous. Because in the other aforementioned locations tea is complimentary. If you are too lazy to drive by all means come to this location, but if you are willing to drive a couple more miles up to Garden Grove, I highly recommend it.

Can’t go wrong with the food here(fusion of Chinese/Korean dishes). My most favorite is Zhajiangmian or spelled ja jiang mein aka fried sauce noodles. Dry noodles offered and the sauce is cooked well here. Family style restaurant meant for sharing. Servings are plentiful.

This is a pretty decent Chinese-Korean spot in OC. We ordered about 4 different dishes to share among 3 people. –Small Jjajjangmyun(black bean noodles) –Tang soo yook(Sweet n sour cripsy pork) –Szechuan Jjajjangmyun(Szechuan black bean noodles) –Chicken fried rice The small jjajangmyun is a perfect portion if you’re planning to eat other dishes as well. I actually had a hard time finishing all my noodles because I was so stuffed from eating the fried rice and tangsooyook in between bites. The jjajjangmyun itself was decent. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but it wasn’t the worst either. The sauce was a bit diluted and watery. It was more of a gravy brown color instead of the dark almost-black color you normally would see. Also, I prefer my jjajjangmyun to have steak chunks instead of ground beef like they served here. The noodles were soft and the portion was good for the price of less than $ 6 for a small bowl. The tangsooyook was good! Very crispy but softens as you dip it into the sweet and sour sauce. You have the option of choosing between beef or pork; we usually order pork. This dish also comes with thin slices of carrots, pineapple chunks and green onions. My brother ordered the Szechuan jjajjangmyun for himself but I managed to try a bite just to kicks and it was okay. It was spicy with that szechuan taste to it, but I personally prefer the regular jjajjangmyun over this dish. It is however, a huge bowl and can easily be shared among 2 people. The chicken fried rice was your basic fried rice. I kind of want to say it was a bit on the bland side but I appreciate that it wasnt doused in salt or wasn’t terribly dry like other restaraunts. Its a pretty small portion for fried rice but like I said, if you’re planning to eat family style it’s a good amount. Service is good and prices are reasonable. My dad comes here often for lunch with his coworkers and apparently they always give them really good service. Free tea and free fried dumplings. However, when we asked for some hot tea tonight, the worker informed us that there was a recent menu change and they now charge $ 3 for hot tea. What the heck?! I have never heard of such thing, especially at a Chinese restaurant. Sad face. I really hope they reconsider this change. Other than that, I wouldn’t mind coming back to try some other dishes on the menu.

This place is located inside many old stores. But this spot is my favorite Korean-Chinese restaurant in OC. My family and I have been going here for 8 years. All of their dishes are great. You are craving black bean noodle? Come here instead of Lunar near Xion Market.

Good dependable korean-chinese food here. Quality is always consistent. Get their black sauce noodles and their spicy fried chicken boneless dishes(a korean style spicy sesame chicken dish). Prices are cheap and portions big.

This place is still as good as ever. Anytime I need a jajangmyun/jampong/mandu fix, I come here. The prices are right and the food is always consistent. The regular Chinese staples — such as fried rice or house chow mein — are pretty delish, too. Service is quick and no-nonsense and there is always plenty of parking in the lot.
