Tasti D-Lite

Normally I’m not really into yogurts and ice cream and stuff, but i thought I’d give this place a try.
I think the only thing I can say is the «Cinnamon crunch» is literally cinnamon toast crunch cereal grounded down and mixed Into a yogurt. So daaaamn gooood!!!

We love Tasti D and we try to go once a week. But my last experience was not so great. Yogurt is still good as ever but the girl that was serving us lack customer service. She did not want to serve us, she kept on talking to her friend by the counter. When she handed me the yogurt she did not even look at me she kept on talking/​listening to her friend. I will go back just because I love the yogurt but someone needs to show her how to properly service their customer. Remember we pay for your salary.

Frozen dessert is great in a cup, it’s great hyper frozen but to really enjoy it you’ve gotta try it in a shake. I just love the mint chocolate shake. My friend likes the chocolate parfait. Add to the fact that this little shop has a great product and nice people and you can help but wanna see them succeed.

with so many froyo competition everywhere, i decided to come here to find my new favorite froyo spot. i wish they would open earlier than 12 so that i can come here earlier and avoid the lunch hour traffic. anyways, the variety of the froyo is quite lacking. i think there are only about 10 flavors and all are basic flavors except for the rice pudding one. they have 3 different chocolate flavors which include dutch chocolate, caramel chocolate, and raspberry truffle chocolate. i tried all of them and none of it really special. in fact, it was quite watered down, not solid, and almost melted (
). i prefer yoghurtland way more even though yoghurtland is still way too sweet for me. plus, yoghurtland is still way cheaper than this one. i normally paid about $ 2-​$ 3 for my froyo, but i had to pay almost double here. yes, they charge you by weight, their price/​oz is definitely not cheap.
service was pretty nice and friendly. they do over loyalty card which will give you one point for every dollar you spend. once you reach 50points, then you are eligible for a free medium cup froyo or get $ 3 off for your purchase.

We truly LOVE this place. The flavors that we have tried, and we’ve tried a lot, have been great. Not too sweet which is the way my family likes it. Yesterday we tried the Peppermint Bark and Sweet Rice Pudding and those 2 are dynamite!
We go there on weekends and it’s a hit with the family! Very friendly workers, very clean, and flavors are amazing. Love how they have over 100 flavors! AND so far we have had ZERO disappointments!

As a «Weight Watcher» member I’m always on the lookout for delicious low Points+ treats. And this is my place! My first impression was that the Tasti is a little flat, but it didn’t take long to get used to. They have lower sugar contents in their product so it’s unsual at first when you’re used to frozen yogurt and ice cream. It makes up for less sugar in texture… it is so light and airy, creamy and darn right TASTI!!! I can come in and have 4 oz of most Tasti’s for 2 points+…load up a blue container to the top and it’s generally 6 – 7 Points+…the equivalent at traditional frozen yogurt shops would be 3 – 4 points+ for 4 oz and 12 – 16 for 12.
Bottom line, not only is this product delicious, it’s a fantastic low calorie treat. And weight watcher approved!!!
And by the way, they have the best employees in town. Polite, helpful, professional… and very welcoming.

Since I can remember all my new year’s resolutions have included dieting (half of bottle? LOL) and since I can remember I have been crazy about sweets and every sugary thing available… sad uh?
Anyway… that have forced me to find alternatives to satisfy my sugar crave without gaining a ton.
One of them? FroYo! and the less calories the better.
Tasty D-​Lite went one step further, since it has even less calories than regular FroYo. Tasty D-​Lite serves decent enough FroYo, not the tastiest, but about half the calories of a regular ice cream.
Good deal uh?
Soft with a fruity light taste and less than 100 calories per serving, this place is a godsend when dieting. The only thing to keep in mind is not to get crazy with the toppings, I’d say that berries are a good option

As I heard the counter help say over and over and over again with every new customer’s entrance to the store, «It’s not yogurt, it’s soft serve!» To be precise, it’s low-​fat soft serve and only the tart base kinda has a yogurt-​like flavor to it. And the only way you can get over 100 flavors into their small store is with liquid flavors added into a base… they are not available on tap.
Because it’s less than 10% milk fat, it cannot be considered ice cream and it’s not very creamy which is a negative texture thing for me. And it’s definitely not anything like frozen custard either.
It’s OK, I just prefer Pinkberry or Go-​Bananaz (who always has soft-​serve sorbet).

Get your New York flavor on! I’ve been to Tasti D-​Lite a couple times and I have enjoyed their non-​ice cream and non-​frozen yogurt both times! I love that you can dispense as much as you’d like as if you’re at a Froyo place, but you can also have any of their flavors made for you! The possibilities are endless in the age of customization! You want fruit? You want cereal? You want boba-​looking, salmon-​roe-​ish popping, balls? Well they’ve got it all! Don’t know what I’m talking about? Well, when you go in and are looking for toppings to add, just go for the bin that looks like tapioca balls. Those bad boys explode in your mouth.
Sign up for their rewards card and you get a free cup of non-​ice cream, non-​yogurt 10 days before or after your birthday! Holla! Free, you say? Of course I’m there!

Since my first review, I have become quite the Tasti D aficionado. Nice thing about is you aren’t tripping over strollers and aggressive kids, it’s pretty quiet and much more civilized.
Favorites are chocolate pudding, marshmallow or best of both worlds, peanutbuttermarshmallow. There are often Unilocal specials and Groupon Buy Now deals ($ 3 for $ 6). The staff is nice and let you sit as they clean up at closing time which is nice and late 10 pm weeknights, 11 weekdays.

And it is no coincidence that we have had several small EQ’s this week during a time period when I have added more friends then I have reviews. And updates don’t count! So with 479 friends and 472 reviews, I’ll try to bring the universe back into balance so that the Mayan Gods are not upset.
I get the healthy nature of this place… and I get all the toppings creates all these unique combinations… and the people here offer good service, but, after two visits… trying all the samples I could and ordering several combinations… I have to say this dessert is Capital B Small l Small a Small n Small d Bland.
Sorry, I hope this local franchisee succeeds but I definitely prefer the real flavors of ice cream and gelato. Fro Yo does nothing for me and fake fro yo does even less.
It is not me, it is you. I’m sure there are other dessert lovers who will appreciate all the yummy flavors you offer. I just need a bit more pizazz in my cold dessert relationship. You are too flavor repressed for me, I’m sorry.

Why did I not check out this place sooner… Tasti D-​Lite is friggin’ awesome. Imagine Yogurtland meets Golden Spoon but with Pinkberry quality. Yes, I know, it’s a lot to take in… But it’s THAT fantastic! They offer over 100 flavors, and the soft serve is PERFECTION!!! PER-​FEC-​TION! Marshmallow is my favorite — so light and airy.

Cookies and Cream (custom blend at 80 calories for 4 oz. serving) was exactly like the ice cream. It even had little specks of chocolate cookies in it. I just can’t get over how creamy the soft serve is. Thumbs up, way up!
Coconut Fudge (custom blend at 70 calories for 4 oz. serving) was absolutely delicious! It had a great fudgy flavor and a strong coconut flavor. Imagine a coconut chocolate candy bar in soft serve form. This is now on my favorites list. By way of comparison, one candy piece is 92 calories at 19 grams. I think I’d rather have a small serving of Coconut Fudge. Thumbs up, way up!
Crème Brulee (custom blend at 70 calories for 4 oz. serving) was outstanding! If you’re a fan of the dessert, you’ll absolutely love this. It was creamy and packed full of that custardy flavor you know and love about crème brulee. The best thing is that it has only 13% of the calories of an actual crème brulee serving. Feel good about eating this version. I know I did! Thumbs up, way up!
Raspberry Chocolate Truffle (custom blend at 70 calories for 4 oz. serving) is amazing! It was creamy and light, but had the extreme flavor of a Raspberry Chocolate Truffle ice cream. A half cup of Raspberry Chocolate Truffle ice cream has around 290 calories. Why not have the extreme flavor without the guilt! Thumbs up, way up!
Peanut Butter Cup (custom blend at 80 calories for 4 oz. serving) is da bomb! This is one of my favorite flavor combinations of all time! I added some crumbed peanut butter cup on top so my calorie count will be a little higher than 80 calories, but it was so good. The creamy peanut butter flavor combined with the luscious chocolate flavor is mind-​numbing! The candy crumbles just made it more dreamy. I definitely had an OMG moment or two! I would definitely take this over chocolate peanut butter ice cream weighing in at 320 calories for a half cup serving. Thumbs up, way up!
Nutella® (custom blend at 90 calories for 4 oz. serving) is fabulous! If you like Nutella®, you’ll absolutely love this. It has a rich, chocolate and hazelnut flavor that you’re looking for in a creamy, ice cold confection. The flavor is perfectly executed just like the Peanut Butter Cup. This one is definitely on the favorites list. Thumbs up, way up!
Peanut Butter Marshmallow (custom blend at 90 calories for 4 oz. serving) is excellent! Imagine a rice crispy square but dunked into peanut butter. That is exactly what this tastes like. The marshmallow flavor blended really well with the peanut butter. Both flavors stood on their own for a winning combination. Thumbs up, way up!
They also have a line of blended drinks as well. The Super Fruit Pomegranate Smoothie is awesome! Creamier and lighter than your normal smoothie, the texture was just right with bits of pomegranate reminding you that you are drinking a smoothie. Thumbs up, way up!

I work close to Tasti D-​Lite and was passing by it and wanted to try this place that is from NY that I’ve been hearing about. It’s low in sugar and tastes like it too.
They have the self-​serve style like Yogurt Land but the guy that works there told me that if I didn’t like any of those flavors in the machine, they can make me a flavor out of the 100+ flavors that they have. I chose chiffon mint, which is just straight up mint. The guy who made my icecream was really nice and helpful, and even before I ate it he said if I wasn’t satisfied with my chiffon mint, he can make me another flavor. The icecream itself was alright, but I gave another star solely for the great customer service.

Tasti D-​Lite is a transplant franchise from New York. If you’re anywhere near Tustin you should check them out since this is the only location in California so far.
When we walked in the employees were in the back, but one came out promptly and greeted us with a smile. She asked us if we’d ever been there before and we told her that we had not. This is when she explained that they are a soft serve shop, not to be confused with fro-​yo or ice cream. Apparently soft serve has less calories than either one; a point they count on to bring you back. At any given time, they have 8 – 10 flavors «on tap». The employee was happy to let us sample the flavors. I went through probably four flavors and did not find a single one I liked.
This is probably when I’d have written them off and given them 2 stars. What happened next though blew my mind and gave me some preliminary brain freeze. the girl working explained that they have over 100 flavors they can custom mix for you! ONE HUNDRED. You could try a new flavor everyday during the summer and there’d still be something new. Everything is based with either vanilla or chocolate soft serve, and they add syrup and blend it with the vanilla/​choco to get the right flavor.
I was a little apprehensive because I started wondering what exactly goes into the syrup. Then I thought about it, and Yogurtland probably uses the exact same process to get their flavors right. Thank you science! My girlfriend spotted blueberry cheesecake on the long list and I was sold. I got a regular size ~6oz cup, and my girlfriend tried the rice pudding (horchata) flavor. They blend the flavors out front so you get to see your custom creation come to life.
These guys do not charge by the ounce. They have sizes, and the regular will run you three dollars. Toppings are extra, $ 0.75 each. When you pay for the topping, it’s unlimited, so you can really pack it on.
**Quick tip — get waffle cone bits for your topping, and you can eat it with your soft serve like chips and dip**
The blueberry cheesecake was fantastic. The horchata flavor was also pretty good. I was already kind of over fro-​yo so I’ll definitely be coming back when I have a craving for dessert.

My little sister has been raving about this place that makes creamy, delicious, soft serve desserts. She kept saying that it has fewer calories, fewer carbs and less fat. I am not sure it a good thing but it doesn’t hurt to try.
There were at least 120+ flavors listed on the menu. I was so overwhelmed with the menu. I decided to stick to what I know which is Cookies & Cream and Acai. The soft served tasted creamier, smoother and lighter. Not bad for 70 calories or less.
I love ice cream too much that I could never replace it with something healthier. I rather eat the good stuff and less of it. Or eat a lot of it and work out harder.

The BF needs an ice cream intervention, so we popped in while waiting for some paint next door.
Very sweet and helpful girl explained in detail that it isn’t ice cream or froyo, but never really explained what it actually is… except to say it has next to no calories. So I really don’t want to know.
You can build your own, or they have a list of custom flavors they will blend for you.
Not cheap. And don’t expect to get a flavor bomb.
But it’s pretty good— whatever it is.

I came here because my hair dresser told me to check it out. I had some time to kill while waiting for my passport photos at Walgreens so I took a stroll down here. This isn’t really fro yo, but it isn’t ice cream either. I’m not sure what to call it.
What I liked:
–There is a huge amount of flavor options, more so then what you could get at a normal fro yo place.
–It is low fat and low sugar.
–Flavors were good, not great, but good.
–As many topping as you want.
What I think could be better:
–The texture of the whatever it is was a little lacking.
–The price was high for not a lot of whatever it is.
I probably will come back, but not any time soon. I’ll stick to my regular frozen yogurt for now.

Interesting little place… they have a bunch of flavors pre-​mixed that you can buy by the ounce, similiar to yogurtland. However, they also have a huge menu of flavors they can make to order for you by mixing the basic vanilla or chocolate w/​syrups. If you do the special order you can also add unlimited topping for .75 cents — seemed like a deal to me! I got the rocky road and the coconut pineapple. The rocky road was spot-​on flavor wise but the coconut pineapple tasted a little artificial, even though they said they don’t use artificial flavors.
The staff was friendly and the place seemed clean, if a little barebones.

A delicious treat for 100 calories or less? Sign me up! All the flavor with none of the guilt! After studying at the nearby library for 4 hours, I thought I’d reward myself with something sweet.
I had heard of Tasti D-​Lite, but knew nothing about it. It’s not froyo and it’s not really ice cream. So, what is it? On their website it states that it’s «a dairy based soft serve frozen dessert. Not frozen yogurt because it doesn’t contain fermented yogurt cultures. Not ice cream because it contains less than 10% butter fat.» Well, whatever it is it’s damn good! This is the first one in CA and I believe they just opened about a week or so ago. The set-​up is just like Yogurtland and all the other froyo places except Tasti only has about 8 flavors from the dispenser. You can put in as much or as little as you like, add toppings or not, and pay what it weighs. The major difference, though, is that if there is a particular flavor you want (they have about 100 different flavors!), they will make it for you on the spot!
The staff was super friendly. They totally encourage to you to sample all the flavors! I sampled the rice pudding and something called tart ‘n tasti. They were both yummy! I ended up getting the caramel apple. The girl behind the counter started mixing and matching different syrups. I don’t think it really tasted like caramel apple even though I could taste the caramel, but it was still delicious and refreshing! My caramel apple was only 90 calories! That’s music to a girl’s ears!
I was really tempted to get a frozen dessert sandwich with sprinkles, but I will save that for next time. Oh yes, there will definitely be a next time! I don’t know how much it costs per oz., but for my small sized caramel apple, it was a little over $ 3. They’re located in a plaza right next to Subway with lots of parking.
