The Home Depot

I find myself at Home Depot at least once a week and this is a great location.
Friendly staff, very helpful.
Store is clean and well stocked.
Prices great, tons of easy parking and not too busy.
I always find what I need here and the prices are fair.

I used to like going to Home Depot, however, my latest interaction with the manager, William Douglass, was so unsatisfactory that I will not be visiting anymore. Can you say «bait and switch?» We had some flooring done through Home Depot and an internal mistake was made – some items which were clearly on the diagram and noted as line items were magically not included in the quote. We went ahead with the job not knowing these important things were missing. Half way through the job – oh wait, we need more money in order to finish! Not only do they need more money, but the price has – once again – magically increased! Though we went to William Douglass so they could make good on their error, it turns out they do not stand behind their product. My advice – Read every single line of any contract they give you and have them explain each one thoroughly! Better yet, go with someone else because if a mistake is made they won’t make it right.

I went in to arrange a carpet estimate. After walking around a few minutes to look for an associate I sat down and waited at the service desk. After about 15 minutes I finally saw an associate and asked for help. He called the carpet specialist to come over. When she arrived I told you I had been waiting for quite a while and she explained that when they’re not busy she is walking around the aisles in her section keeping them organized. However she was not in her section because I would have seen her. After that I worked to schedule an appointment. I asked about five questions and every single question was answered with an answer to something else that I have not asked. She wasn’t listening to any of the questions that I asked. Instead she was assuming what I wanted to know instead of listening to my questions. It was very frustrating. She had to call over a manager to help her and I could tell that the manager was speaking to her in a very slow way. I’m sure she’s a very nice person but it would be nice if they hired better listeners and better communicators.

Service is non existent. Could not get help finding something. I would be ashamed if i were managing this place! Headed to Lowes.

If my home depot in orange doesn’t have it, this one will. It’s just a much bigger store. They carry items that my local home depot doesn’t carry. It also seems that there are more employees in the store since I got tons of people asking me if I needed «help».
Bonus that there is tons of parking and this location is close to other places like Costco, Sprout, Target, etc etc.

Im a regular here and consider this location to be one of the better home depots in the area, I have been refinishing a 60’s style toilet in a new remodel Im doing and I had Mario help me out. All I can say is the guy know his stuff, after many failed attempts of doing it on my own, Mario must have saw that I was struggling wth a issue. within minutes he walked me thru everything and really took the time and asked all the right questions to solve my issue. He is a gem and really understand the plumbing trade, Thanks Mario, you got me exactly what I needed for a classic toilet I was saving and honestly made my day. Two thumbs ups for Mario and my Local HD!!!

This was a strange situation… This Home Depot is like opposite George.
The employee we talked to was not only somewhat helpful, they were there! So clearly this isn’t a typical Home Depot staffed with unicorns.
Ah but there is always a but… The layout is a bit jacked up. Could we make the main aisle in the front harder to navigate?
And the self service… How about telling some of those customers, «sir your IQ won you a free upgrade to a live cashier, please follow me»?
Fortunately the cashier knew what she was doing and she was cranking out customers like there was no tomorrow.
Because of the competent employees in giving them an extra star.

Literally worst home deport I’ve ever been too. No concept of customer service. I write this as I wait over 30 minutes for «Enrico» to just help me in flooring. The other elder lady in the flooring department is super nice and constantly paging him for me, but she’s busy with another customer (which is completely understandable). It should not take this long to get ONE associate to head to flooring, especially if he is supposed to be around here according to the other associates. As I finish writing this, he is still not here. Ridiculous.

Love Home Depot. When you’re a homeowner you come to love the hardware stores, ha ha! Or maybe that’s just me. I have never had a problem with this home depot and it’s customer service, it’s simple and easy to return items. However, sometimes it’s a little difficult to find customer service in certain departments. It would be nice if there was a designated representative for each department every day, there have been times where I’ve had to search for a representative, even after having one paged from the customer service desk to help.
But all in all, I’ve found the representatives at this home depot to be helpful, informative and friendly!

DO NOT PURCHASE TOOL WARRANTIES! This company has the biggest racquet since the mob. It is almost impossible to get a repair on a tool because all the employees are intentionally kept in the dark on what the procedure is to allow a customer to use one. I purchased an air compressor with a three-​year warranty and have spent the past three weeks getting bounced around from one person to another. Taking it from one repair shop that would not repair it; to another repair shop that would not repair it. The shops were supposed to be Home Depot approved shops. Don’t purchase any warranties on tools.

The customer service desk I got helped by abi :) she was super informed and friendly. She made experience better.

I just had to stop by to let you know. Many of my friends have insisted on telling me that your location is one of their least favorite. For that reason I have always gone to other Home Depot Stores in the area, avoiding yours.
Well after having a bad experience at one of the other Home Depots I decided to stop by your location. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have nothing but the highest of praises for your associates and the product I wanted was right.
Needless to say I know have a new home location. Thanks!

Went in and bought a toilet seat to replace the old one. No hardware so I had to make a second trip. Doesn’t sound like much but I am disabled and had to take the bus, both times.
If you buy something in a box, check to make sure it’s all there.

Customer service is a joke.
Called at 9:30am and was put on hold for 9 mins and finally a live person just to be placed on another 3 minute hold.
Called back and on hold continuously some more and the operator extension would ring one and back on hold music — this happened approx 4 times.
Finally able to talk to someone they gave the wrong information on the materials that were being purchased, they are just confused.
Called corporate for help = useless. Transferred back to store assitant manager, he listened apologized, said i will take care of your materials purchasing request and will call you back. yep its been like 2 weeks and YEA no return calls. SURE… where am I? WALMART???

Stop using TK Installation for your blinds. Ordered blinds on January 10^th and after calling on February 28^th you still could not find the order! We cancelled the order on March 7^th and got a full refund. We told the store if you find them, call us, we will still purchase them.
Got a call on March 26^th from TK Installations that the blinds were in and they were ready to install on the 31^st. Have been waiting my three hour window and TK Installation was a no show. Called to follow-​up, they said the order was canceled March 9^th! Why would you call me March 26^th to set an appointment to install?

Convenient location, yes. Helpful staff? No.
Waited in line at customer service waiting to rent a truck. Five minutes later, one cashier was helping a customer with three others in «returns» right next to customer service just standing around laughing. Not once did I get a «we’ll be with you shortly». Most staff avoids eye contact so they don’t have to help you. Got the truck after 15 minutes of waiting in line. Bought sand/​gravel in bulk and went on my way.
Time to return the truck and sand/​gravel bags. Went to the customer service to return the truck and the same white lady, «MARIA» was there. We made eye contact as she helped a couple of old customers to a desktop station. I’m watching the clock because I’m coming on my 75 minutes and don’t want to get charged more for the truck. A few minutes later she makes eye contact with me and asks «do you need help?» when no other cashier was there to help and i was clearly in line! Yes! I don’t stand around for my health. Anyway, she processed my return and charged me additional because I went over the 75 minutes. Then she sees me drag the two bags over to the back to get my return and says nothing. It so happens I was supposed to return them at the station next to her. Fantastic customer service HD. Just bought a home and this is my last trip to your store.

Such a shitty customer service!!!
Always takes forever to look for someone to help you.
Had problems with some materials I bought here, tired to get hold of the manager, he told me will call me back in a few hours, he never did, called again and he said he sorry and its wont happen again, and so he did it again the day after, after three weeks trying to solve problems with them I decided to call to the credit card company to file a dispute !
How rude.

We swung by The Home Depot located at The Marketplace in Tustin to look at paint samples because everyone knows white tile is so ‘80s (FYI: The kitchen in our house is covered in white tile). A good portion of our visit was also spent hanging out at the flooring department where we had fun running our fingers across the carpet samples.
Customer service is excellent. We were asked on several occasions if we needed any help — of course, «help» may have meant professional help. We probably looked like fools running around the store playing «Guess How Much This Carpet/​Wood Flooring Costs Per Square Foot?»
The Home Depot is a one-​stop shop for all your home improvement and construction products and services. I like that you can buy power tools, a plant AND set up an appointment to install your brand new fancy schmancy sink all at the same place.
As far as prices (on products) are concerned, The Home Depot claims that if you find a current lower price on an identical, in-​stock item from any local retailer, then they will match the price and beat it by 10%. Home installation services are provided by licensed professional and contractor services. It doesn’t hurt to shop around, but just some things to consider.
Organized store. Courteous and helpful customer service. Shopping for paint and flooring has never been more fun.

Don’t buy your plants here. I’m in the unfortunate predicament of recycling my gift cards [store credit] over and over again, or else I’d go anywhere else.
They «guarantee» their plants for 1 year, but this isn’t true. Twice now, within two months, they’ve basically tried to pressure me into accepting the lowest selling price, even with a receipt. Once, they even claimed that the plant wasn’t theirs and I must have gotten it from somewhere else.
Of course I find this unacceptable every time and thus, take much longer making returns than is normal. It’s just ridiculous. Avoid the run-​around and don’t buy your plants here.
