The Sticky Pig is a bacon desserts sweet shop that specializes in gourmet, handmade and made to order bacon truffles, bacon cookies, bacon ice cream desserts, bacon tarts, bacon caramel corn and so much more for unique gifts, party favors, catered events or just plain old personal debauchery.

Established in 2009.

This ain’t your mama’s bacon or that ordinary chocolate covered stuff you see at the county fair. This is supreme madness, mischief and mayhem all rolled up into sweet bacon bliss that’s sure to make you squeal with delight.

The best way to describe what candied bacon is to those who have yet to experience such utter greatness is to say that if pork belly and Willy Wonka had a throw down you’d get something along the lines of The Sticky Pig’s Candied Bacon.

The Sticky Pig’s gourmet handmade bacon desserts are an absolute divine confection with the flavor and texture combinations of sweet, salty, sticky and crunchy all in one delectable bite. There is nothing else like it on the planet. You WILL be wagging your curly little tail for more as you lick those gooey fingers and you savior every last melt-​in-​your mouth morsel.

Business Owner

You can call her the Bacon Vixen, Princess of Bacon or The Bacon Queen, she’ll answer to any of those monikers. Tara Simon, Pilates instructor turned candied bacon confectionery artist is the brainchild behind The Sticky Pig Candied Bacon Confections. She turned her love of food into a successful candied bacon enterprise complete with her own original, one-​of-​a-​kind candied bacon creations.

Using only the finest and freshest ingredients Tara began experimenting with different flavor and texture combinations with bacon as its medium. With her creative palette and knowledge of worldly food pairings, Tara created the culinary confections that make up The Sticky Pig’s highly sought after array of delicious candied bacon sweets.

I had the pleasure of trying these delicious treats at a Unilocal event. I must say, I don’t care what it costs, I am counting down the days until my boyfriends birthday, so I can use that as an excuse to buy him chocolate covered bacon, so that I can enjoy it too.
Maybe I will even send another to myself on my birthday!

I can’t find words. I ordered a box as a gift to myself for my birthday. And boxes to give out as party favors. I think I have changed my mind about giving these boxes of yummy chocolate bacon treats as favors. I want to keep them for myself. These confections are the best treats that I’ve ever had. Sticky pig? I now feel like one as I am looking at all the boxes of yummy goodness. Best I’ve ever had. Don’t delay, order some and treat yourself. When you do, you’ll understand why words escape me.

Albeit overpriced, these confections are ridiculously amazing. I love bacon, and I love chocolate. Soooo… yup, made sense to put them together. I live in LA and received my shipment really quick (which is good because I could NOT WAIT to try).
Rogue, Marilyn, and Jane were all irresistibly delectable. My favourite was probably the Jane — it was just a bunch flavours in my mouth that just worked SO WELL together. (Spicy peanut butter, caramelized banana, chocolate, and of course, bacon.)
One con. Although I’m a huge fan of dark chocolate, the Bettie did not work for me at all. This was also the first one I tried, so I was pretty scared about the rest of them. There wasn’t enough balance of flavours for me, it was basically just rich on rich on rich and no lighter element to the piece that evened things out. HOWEVER, this could also be because I tried it right after receiving the package, whereas the rest were eaten after being refrigerated. So I don’t know. Probably won’t order this flavour again but will DEFINITELY order the others.

So lucky me I was sent a box of these delicious Lil pigs!
I couldn’t be happier, they were delicious, different and gone in a day!
I do think they are a bit pricey and I wish there was a place I could walk into and buy a few that I really like instead of a pre set box. I’d also like one of those «Bacon Whore» shirts :)
I’m sure I will buy these again…

I got a chance to sample the wares of The Sticky Pig at a recent Unilocal event and, while I wasn’t blown away, there’s something to their culinary treats that will definitely make folks come running… at least for one visit. Curiosity – intrigue – bacon and chocolate together!
Their bacon-​infused goodies call out to the young, non-​heart-​disease-​fearing, college-​and-​just-​above-​aged crowds of the OC. The treats (of which there are a dozen varieties, including caramel apple pecan and s’mores) are good – and full of bacon. It’s unlikely that you’ll fail to taste the bacon. And people freakin’ love bacon – and they love dessert. It’s good stuff… but is it worth the price?
Their website sells a four-​piece combo pack for twenty dollars. Five bucks a piece? I’m not sure it’s worth it. I mean, it was good… but not THAT good. You can also get a twenty-​four pack for seventy bucks… That’s $ 2.91 a piece… a bit better.
And, fair warning… the booth at this Unilocal event I attended… well, it was manned by, well, men. Three or four of them in Sticky Pig garb… and there was a girl chopping up sample pieces. The guys all wore shirts that said Bacon Whore on the back… and one of them said to me (after describing the product), «Oh, and… yeah… the girl behind the counter… that’s her butt.» He then pointed to their flyer. OK… so there is an underwear-​clad lower body on your flyer, Guy-Who’s-Shirt-Is-Too-Tight.
It’s clear this group is going for the Carl’s Jr. angle of «sexy» in their marketing. But I just felt a little bit uncomfortable, standing there with my wife, and being coerced into buying a «sexy» choco-​bacon thing. I got a serious frat boy vibe from these guys.
And from what I gather from the comments and other reviews… the girl (who may or may not be pictured in the ad – Tara, perhaps?) is the owner of this company who probably should know that her assistants/​employees are giving off quite a douche-​y kind of vibe.
This grub is tasty – but expensive – and the purveyors of this potentially explosive and in-​demand product should ease off the «we’re so cool, bro» sales technique and just let their candied bacon do the talking.

Who doesnt love bacon? The Sticky Pig bacon confections are the best I ever had. Now a lot of people do chocolate with bacon but you guys took it to the next level. Your flavor combinations are unique and interesting and the best part about it is that you dont skimp out on the bacon! You get actually meaty chunks of bacon in each bite! Also thanks for participating in todays Unilocal elite event. This was my first and I really enjoyed it.

Is it possible to take something that’s already perfection (bacon) and make it better?
My gut reaction was «no,» but Tara proved me wrong. So very wrong…
Turns out bacon can be a perfect base for ridiculously good confections. I thoroughly enjoyed my journey through Tara’s culinary mind as I sampled each of the flavors that came in my 12 piece box. Each one was incredibly unique, ranging from the classic PB&J styled Elvis to the «I feel like I’m eating Indian food» Lakshmi.
I even had some friends of mine try some (although I was loathe to give up the sweet bacon goodness), and though they were skeptical at first, their skepticism vanished after the first bite.
You can tell Tara put a lot of thought into each one of her creations. I can’t wait to order another set.

Absolutely 5 stars!
Knowing my love of bacon, sweet and salty combos, and fine confections, my friend found this website and thought this was right up my alley. She purchased an assortment for my birthday and I couldn’t believe the flavor packed into each bite, as well as the insanely creative variety. If you have a bacon-​lover in your life, you will win their heart with a box of these amazing confections.
Flavors change frequently, but I had some fantastic tastes including candy apple, curry and coconut, peanut butter and banana and more! The bacon is sensational — thick, smokey and full of flavor.

I haven’t had a chance to actually taste these for myself, but I love all things bacon and have sent many 12-​piece assortments as gifts to family and clients. The responses are always priceless. A box of Godiva chocolates or an expensive snack tower is a nice gesture, but it’s all been done before and is utterly predictable.
Remember, novelty comes at a premium!
If you really need to make an impression and step outside the box, then a box of Sticky Pig chocolates will get the squeals and phone calls of delight. It’s memorable and tasty, per the feedback, although it’s not for everyone. Know your recipient’s tastes and style (especially if sending as a corporate gift) because this may be too much bacony bad assedness for the faint of heart or picky of palate.
I have never had an issue with shipping/​delivery (you need to give a 2 – 4 day lead time depending on your delivery date because, if using FedEx, there are only select shipping/​delivery dates available). They do offer hand delivery for $ 15, assuming your recipient is located within southern California, and you can even pick them up for free in OC if you like (they do NOT have a store front; you must call to make special arrangements).
Tara has answered my calls every time I’ve had questions or needed to confirm delivery times, and she is always helpful and professional.
The flavor combos are eclectic and sound amazing. Visually the presentation is just as rich and delectable, from the product packaging to the little piggies themselves.
Alas, I will update my review once I’ve consumed them myself!

REVIEW OF ONLINE ORDER — Although tasty and unique — they are definitely NOT worth $ 6.25 each. First off the order was over one week late and their excuse was «we’re so busy since being on the TV». My gf ordered them after seeing them on the Food Network. She debated on the price but figured we’d try them once. $ 30 for shipping is absurd. $ 75 for twelve candied bacon… never again.

As if bacon alone wasn’t good enough, The Sticky Pig took it it a step higher than that.
I recently purchased a boxful of these delectable little piggies as a wedding gift for a couple who LOVE bacon and they LOVED it. When I spoke to them at the wedding, even the wedding party apparently tried some and they ALL really enjoyed the different flavors that were melded together into what is called candied bacon!
I wish I had ordered extra for myself because I took a peek inside the box… and they looked so good that I wanted to eat them myself!
I know the prices may seem steep but when you see the individual love and care that is put into making these creations, you will know that it is very well worth it. From the really beautiful (and really nice) packaging to the customer service that came with the order to actually seeing the little candied piggies… It was a great experience overall.
I would definitely recommend The Sticky Pig to all bacon lovers.

grandma: so thoughtful of you but it is honestly the grossest thing i have ever had.
girlfriend: it literally looks like a piece of shlt in a box. thanks for sending my dad a piece of shlt. its terrible.
i have had chocolate covered bacon that is good so im not opposed to the idea, i liked the idea. i tried one my grandma saved for me… spit it out.
good idea in theory but these flavors just DO NOT mix the way they are put together.

we were excited to receive it but it was not as hoped. small rolled up bacon with cheap ingredients! I thought they would be long crispy strips topped with high quality candy/​chocolate– not so.
they are greasy and gross. we ordered the 90.00 box– what a joke!

Yes. Yes! YES! YEESSSS!
Bacon lovers and other connoisseurs of all things sweet/​savory, thou art be rejoicing for The Sticky Pig has delivered us to the Kingdom of Yumminess. Sweet, salty, crunchy, chewy, the Sticky Pig treats are each a joy in a nugget.
The Elvis is, so far, the King. Bacon, banana, and peanut butter butter cream in perfect harmony. I bought a box of 4 of all Elvis and savored every morsel. And I can honestly say that I would eat that everyday.
I also got an omakase 4-​pack and a Raspberry Jelly Donut sampler. Oh, the pleasure of tasting these little piggies! I like them all from least to most in this order: Orange Ginger, Jelly Donut, Maple Cinnamon, S’mores (VERY good), and Apple Pecan Dulce de Leche.
The Sticky Pig not only makes a perfect snack or dessert, but awesome breakfast… especially the apple pecan cinnamon dolce.
And, yes, these guys are a little pricey, but as a gift for your bacon loving loved ones or for yourself, HELL YES they are worth every penny!

Had some of these little delectables last nite and can I just say… Oh YEAH! This is worth going off the diet for. The Orange Ginger was my fave followed by S’mores. I cannot describe how freaking good these were… bacon and sweetness and melting bacon fat and salty and perfection! YUM!
