Having gotten used to Panda when I lived in California, I knew this location was going tone tough. The parking lot is small, the drive thru tighter than a size zero, and the drive thru line, often longer than a railroad train. I’m a creature of habit and tend to stick to the same menu items. It astounds me how frequently the orange chicken is over cooked/sometimes burnt. The wait time to take your order can be painful, the wait time to get your order can be excruciating. If I was the franchisee, I’d have picked a better location further down Broadway where there is the space, after all the rest of new businesses locating here are choosing South Tyler.

I think it’s a little unfair to rate a place that is fairly new and had just opened not too long ago. I’m sure they will work out the kinks over time. I personally think it’s the standard Panda fair(which is good as far as consistency) and we’ve never had bad food. I think the orange chicken is better than anywhere else I’ve been! The staff has always been nice and prompt. They sure could use additional staff but for the staff that they have — I think they’re doing a great job! If there is a suggestion I could make — it would be to have the same options 15 – 30 mins before closing. I went there last time and they’re out of everything 20 mins before closing but I got something different from what I usually get and it was delicious.

Nothing special… same old tired«Chinese American» food you can buy cheaper in grocery stores(Tap Pei brand). But they are unique in that they added a new main course«Spicy shrimp something) and charged me $ 1.50 extra because it was a new dish on their VERY limited menu!!! This is a Chinese fast food for kids. Won’t ever go back.

Who knew Chinese could be worse than the mall or airport? Orange chicken was spongy and barely warm. Ice tea tasted like mop water. Great service though.

I have eaten here several times. The food is good. I love the honey walnut shrimp. So glad we finally have one in Tyler!

I am from California. There it is very common to have these restaurants. This is the first one here in Tyler Texas. It is very clean. Service is good, and the food is good. Because this is the only one in Tyler it is very busy.

Don’t understand all the hate up in here. Have eaten here several times and the service is good and the food is consistently good for me. Have tried shrimp, orange chicken, peking beef, fried rice, spring rolls and pot stickers. All good for Chinese fast food. This is not Pei Wei or PF Changs, but still good and reasonably priced.

The orange entrees were of normal Panda quality, but the noodles were burned and the waiting time was 15 minutes from order to pick up window. I literally had to turn off my engine and sit there. I hope this is just some first month bumps in the road and they improve in service since it’s the only location in over an hour drive

The noodles are flavorless and every time I go, they give me a ton of broccoli and no beef… I was so disappointed with the service and quality. I definitely won’t be going back to this location

Ordered one of each entrée, they were all crap at this location. Even the teriyaki chicken was dry! Spring/Egg roles filled with slim and soaked in fry oil. Dogs looked at me funny before trying to choke down the leftovers. Stick to 3Z…

I’ve been to Panda Express in other locations and loved it but this one… not so much. The entrees are pretty good but they are real stingy with the beef/chicken, as for the sides? Us customers can do without it, my Lo Mein noodles were still hard and was not cooked properly. My girlfriend got the beef and broccoli with fried rice. Fail once again. Broccoli tasted like they did not cook them at all, we like fresh things but not that kind of fresh. The fried rice tasted like one minute rice out the box with no type of sauce or seasoning. I will give this place one more try but from my scale of 1 – 5, I give Panda Express a 2 only because the firecracker chicken breast and Beijing beef entrees were pretty tasty.

Went there the first and last time tonight. Orange chicken had a very hard crust on it, which means I could only eat half of it. Teriyaki chicken tasted like rubber, and had no flavor at all. A big waste of money in my book.

My family and I have been here at least 4 times since they opened this location in Tyler. We all love it. The staff is friendly, the food is fantastic, fresh, tasty and not expensive. So far we have tried the chow mein noodles, fried rice, honey walnut shrimp, sweet fire chicken, teriyaki chicken, spring rolls and cream cheese Rangoon. Everything we have had here was delicious. The restaurant is kept clean and they are always cooking fresh food and replacing it on the line in a timely manner. We will return.

Fried rice is pittyful. Portion size was stingy for the price. Server dropped a pen in the mixed vegetables and simply said woops. She should have dumped dish and got new one. Do not recommend without some changes. Maybe they are going through a break in period of being new.
