There is so much to like about Salsaritas. One thing I love is the options for vegetables, like onions, fresh jalapeños, cilantro, etc. that aren’t clearly provided at Chipotle. The queso and chips are phenomenal, as well, and I consider them a must-have for my meal. Try some of their sweet tea, as long as the batch was recently made. The customer service is also great; I always feel welcome when I visit. Unfortunately, the reason I deduct one star is because I got some bad food poisoning from their chicken a few months back. Luckily, it hasn’t happened since, but I am often weary about eating there as much as I used to.

Not pleased with Salsarita’s tonight. It is 6:30 on a Friday night and they do not have guacamole. I asked if it would be a few minutes for them to make more and they said no. What Mexican food restaurant runs out of guacamole on a Friday night? Then as we were leaving one of the tables has a side of guacamole. There were three employees that knew I wanted guacamole and no one offered me any. Usually it is great but not tonight.

What little customer service skills the people working on tonight’s visit is nowhere near enough to warrant another trip to Salsarita’s. We didn’t know until the middle of our order that we weren’t allowed to order over a certain amount of items without being kicked out of line and made to order on a piece of paper and wait over 10 minutes for our 4 burritos to be made. The whole Salsarita experience was ruined.

I LOVE this place! I will come here rather than Freebirds or Chipotle for some burritos… forget them!

Taste is very good! They do a lively lunch business. Ive eaten here 3 times and have never had a bad meal. They’re a bit tricky on pricing, though… Their overhead menu needs to be reworked… You can drop a wad of $ here real fast!

The food was pretty good although the portion size was small. I got a veggie rice bowl, brown rice, and I barely got any veggies. The brown rice was great, it has pumpkin seeds in it. I got a few toppings, olives, fresh jalapenos, pico, hot salsa and guac. Again, I barely got toppings. I was hungry after lunch. I got there around 11:45am and they just had 1 person working the registers. Because of this the line was backed up and people were waiting for a while. That was a little disappointing. The people in front of me commented that this happened all the time. Once plus, their chicken is all natural.

Would not go back! Tried this place twice. I give all the new restaurants a chance but not impressed with this overpriced fast food joint. They charge extra for everything! Have to wait in long line to order and the menu is confusing, can only be viewed when you get to the bar to order and part of the menu is above the check out area. You have your burrito etc. made to order but after they layer the meat and add your other toppings, it is cold. Very unappetizing. I ordered 2 tacos, they charged me $ 6 for 2 shrimp tacos, even though only one was shrimp. The shells are the cheapest, thinnest shells, fell apart into a big congealed mess immediately. A bottle of beer is $ 3.75. It is very noisy, the staff is not friendly or helpful. Don’t see this place staying around at this rate.

I tried it for the first time yesterday and it was very good. Beats Taco Bell by a long shot. The staff is friendly too.

Taste is really good. I usually get Nachos with chicken and almost all the veggies and queso. I prefer the thin/seasoned chips to McAllister’s nacho basket thick chips. And you get queso and whatever ingredients you want as well. Service is quick and staff are friendly. Overall a great place for a quick bite.

Freebird’s World Burrito is far and away my favorite burrito place on earth, but my second place burrito place(and certainly the best in Tyler) is Salsaritas. Their staff and service are excellent, most of their ingredients are made fresh in the store every morning, and the queso is incredible. Highly recommend.

Great, fresh Mexican food. I have started going there when I crave Freebirds, but the chips have awesome flavor and I love the variety. A little higher priced than most Mexican food, but worth it if you’re in the mood.

Tyler TX — Tacos & tortilla chips were good. Quick service. Nice outdoor patio. Casual with lots of variety plus margaritas & beer.
