My wife works in the Los Angeles office of her firm that is headquartered in Kansas City. She travels here to KC about once a month and always stay at the Unity Village Hotel. I was able to join her this week so we could attend her Company’s holiday party so it’s the first time I have stayed at Unity Village. She always speaks so highly of this place — how peaceful it is, how safe she feels here, how fun it is for a city girl to see deer and Canadian geese on the grounds — and now that I have spent a couple days here myself I totally agree with her and cannot imagine a nicer place in this area to stay. For sure the hotel has a peaceful and safe vibe to it, and the grounds surrounding the hotel are without compare. The room was modern and clean and extremely comfortable, and the staff is amazing — the manager, Brendan Bell, introduced himself to us and welcomed us personally. The staff even set up breakfast for us an hour earlier than normal since my wife needed to be at her office by 7:00am — how thoughtful is that? So, I cannot wait to stay again at the Unity Village Hotel and would recommend it above any other place in the Lee’s Summit or Jackson County area.

If I was going to stay in east Kansas City for vacation, business, or a family visit this would be my choice. The hotel is nice and clean with a beautiful view and walking path. They are located at Unity Village so there are plenty of peaceful walks on 14 acres with nature trails. The restaurant has good food. When in bloom the rose gardens are beautiful and tranquil. The staff was very nice and the environment was relaxing. The hotel is certified«Green» and built in 2007. They are only 15 mintues from downtown Kansas City offering a golf course, outdoor swimming pool, wifi, fitness center, Continental breakfast, coffee shop, meeting rooms and catering options. This is a popular location for weddings. As I recall, the price was very reasonable for lodging, food, and the gift shop. Unity Village is located near Lee’s Summit but it feels like a wilderness break from the city even though you’re right in the city.
