Business Owner

Jessica Covarrubias has over 22 years of Martial Arts Experience

She has trained a variety of people from professional athletes to 3 year olds. She has spent most her life training in a variety of Martial arts styles such as Ju jitsu, Tang Soo Do, and kickboxing. She continues to train everyday to progress her skills and is an active member in her community.

We love California Black Belt Academy. My 6 year old son started a couple of months ago and he loves going. Classes are small too so the kids get more individual attention. I am very happy we found this school. I highly recommend it.

I love this place. They make it fun to learn but they really know what they’re doing in all seriousness. I loved the self defense class, and they say they’ll have more in the future. love the early morning hike at Claremont loop, something i’d never have done on my own. its all been a great year for me at CBA cardio-​kickboxing and zumba. highly recommend this for one-​on-​one attention. great motivational techniques to get physically fit. also the little ninja class (baby ninja?) is so cute.

If you’re looking to get your black belt in a couple years this is not the place. There are many other places that can meet those needs. BUT if you are looking for passionate instructors & a place to grow in the martial arts this is definitely the place for you. The Senseis have a wealth of knowledge & love for the martial arts and are great with kids & adults!!!

Malia has been attending this Dojo for over 2 years now. We love the family vibe & the patience that is given to each child that participates. This is my daughters passion and Thanks to Sensei’s Jessica & Jeremy .they have helped her really come out of her shell. She is learning wonderful things … life experiences that will truly be with her forever. We highly recommend this Dojo … it’s not just a Dojo. it’s a second home.

My 4 and 7 yr old have been apart of this martial arts studio for 3 months now and they love it! It is very family oriented and the two sensais keep it very traditional. The adult MMA class for adults was a great workout too!
