I’ve been coming to this office for at least 3 years now and I am very happy with my visits! I’ve had chemical peels, laser hair removal and I have had awesome results. They’re very professional and the staff is very friendly. Everything was explained and I felt really comfortable here. I highly recommend coming if you want great results for a very reasonable price!

This is by far the worst office I have ever been to. I had the technicians asking me for advice on birth control. The only competent person there was Tina and she left. Since she left I have been yelled at and berated by this office. They also refused to run tests I had asked for and already paid for. I finally switched insurances (paying more specifically to get away from this office) and trying to get my medical records is proving to be extremely difficult. The worst office ever I would stay far away from this place.

I love Dr. Alwan and his staff. I was referred to his office after my doctor no longer practiced OB. I have been a patient now for over 3 years. Dr. Alwan has seen me through a miscarriage and now the birth of my daughter. He has handled my situation with the best bedside manner I could have hoped for. We are truly blessed to have him as a doctor. He has taken the time to explain things to both myself, husband and my mother. Dr. Alwan was always very personal and funny with his very busy schedule.

Jan is non judgmental and thorough. Dr. Allwan rushes to surgery for after pregnancy incontinence when there are a lot of less risky alternatives to try first. He also seems aa little judgy and less matter of fact and objective as Jan so I go to her.

This review is regarding the office manager Alex. My mother has sent about 30 women to this office and gave the office so much publicity during the birth of my little brother on TLC and with magazines. The 4 women in my family who have all had children have all driven distances to see Dr. Alwan out of the loyalty and respect my mother has for Dr. Alwan. That being said I had a collection from 6 years ago that accumulated to $ 200 with late fees that was included in an unfortunate bankruptcy for my family after unfortunate circumstances. My appointment was set for today by my mother to discuss a possible long journey with fertility options and a possible future pregnancy where they would have made countless dollars. My insurance pays 100% of my services with a $ 30 co payment and they still would not see me. I called Alex to kindly tell her I took the day off of work and that they would be getting paid for my services and she continued to say she refused to see anyone that did not pay Dr. Alwan for his services, which by the way was an insurance mix up to begin with. She was so rude and disrespectful and insulted me! I actually am so happy this happened because I could not imagine trying to have a joyous adventure like a child and have to be dealing with this woman. I asked her if she knew who my mother was and if she had ran this my Dr. Alwan and that his words were that he would not see me. MIND BLOWN! The money they lost today is thousands compared to $ 200 that I would have paid just to continue the tradition, had it not been included in my mothers bankruptcy. She insulted my family, our situation and personally killed my joy and excitement in driving a distance to see Dr. Alwan. She made multiple comments how my contact is my mothers info and my mother made my appointment and personally insulted me as if I was not adult enough to handle my business. Dr. Alwan, I will personally mail you a check since you feel so strongly, via Alex’s statement, that you were stiffed by me and while doing so each women in our family will be transferring their medical records to a Dr who has staff that cares about them and has common sense. This account was included in a BK, Known this family for years, sent countless patients, would have made ridiculous money off of fertility options and maintained a relationship that has lasted over 15 years! This is a horrific situation and please Jan & Dr, take the time to read the reviews on how some of your staff is representing your company, not to mention the others that do not take the time to review. I am sorry that I was such a negligent patient and my family has not been good enough to you to see me for a scheduled appointment with fantastic insurance and a day off of work. Alex, you proved to be a miserable person who should have no business dealing with anything to do with the sensitivity of the female body, maybe try debt collection.

I’ve had to go through multiple OBs for problems I have. He is the most caring and gentle doctor I’ve ever had! He listens to all my concerns and makes sure I leave with no question unanswered. Would recommend to anyone.

Dr. Alwan is an amazing Ob. I had the best experience with his staff. He delivered my baby via c-​section. he is very compassionate and understanding. I’m hoping he will be my OB for ever !

For years I suffered with severe gynecological problems and pain, going from one doctor to another with no relief, until a friend of mine referred me to Dr. Alwan. I knew from the second I met him, that I was in good hands! He is kind, caring, compassionate, and professional. He’s never in a hurry and he genuinely listens to his patients! I have struggled all of my life with weight issues and have always been embarrassed of that, especially with medical issues of such a personal nature. Dr. Alwan made me feel so comfortable and for once, I didn’t feel like I was being judged by my weight! I provided years of medical tests,
X-​rays, ultrasound, lab test results, and testing he did on his own, he was able to immediately identify that I needed immediate surgery. Bottom line… I truly believe that Dr. Alwan saved my life!!! He is amazing… there is no better doctor out there!!! I also have to say that Alex, his office manager is wonderful and always pleasant to deal with! When I count my blessings at night, I count Dr. Alwan twice!

Alex, the front office manager is very rude & cuts you off when you’re trying to talk. Jan is nice, but a bit rushy at times. Stella was my favorite front office girl, she was soooo friendly! Dr Alwan delivered my baby via c section, he was always nice… but I saw him for a total of 5 mins my entire stay at the hospital when I delivered, and that’s including my 24 hr labor. Unfortunately I developed post partum anxiety. He prescribed zoloft to me without any explanation of what I might feel while taking it, plus he didn’t even schedule a follow up or refer me to a counselor. It was just like, «here, take this harsh drug that can give you suicidal thoughts, but um… good luck! See ya later!» I was beyond disappointed in him for doing that. So many post partum mothers fall through the health care cracks and end up doing crazy things, he should know better.

Dr Alwan himself is a great doctor! He is always very professional, nice, and compassionate. He listens to you and will understand your needs. He was my dr during my second pregnancy and did wonderfully helping me give birth. However, as sad as it sounds. I will never go back. I’m now pregnant with my third child and sadly i wouldn’t go back even tho my visits with him were excellent. The reason why is because his staff totally sucks. They’re unorganized, they can’t schedule for nothing. They were always cancelling my visits or turning me away, when i got there. And still BILLING me for them. They had me as an hmo when I was actually ppo and had to leave on a day we were supposed to find out the sex of the baby. Which my husband took off work to see, which happened to be his birthday. When I got there they said that my insurance didn’t cover this cost. Which was untrue. It was only because they had me as HMO. And the reason why I found out was because they wanted me to go to a separate lab to get my blood drawn which was very unusual since all my other blood drawn were done in office. So they didn’t accidently get it wrong in the very beginning, they switched it several weeks after starting my visits with them. Confronting them was always nerve wrecking because you would actually sit there and argue with them because they can’t listen for anything. And will insist even tho they’re wrong. I ended up paying a bill just to avoid going into collections. They seem very unqualified for their position. The last thing you need during pregnancy is unwanted stress because an office staff can’t get their jobs done right and efficiently. They bill you out of no where for dates a year prior, which were visits that were cancelled. They are way over booked. He has way too many patients, which conflicts with your schedule. It’s not worth the 30 minute wait. With two offices, they always confused which location you needed to go to. Even with a paper that says you’re appointment is in rancho, when you get there, they would say you need to go to upland. It’s frustrating. Especially if you have a job or travel more than 15 minutes to get there. I live in the high desert and picked him because my family lives around the area and he had great reviews. The hospitals in high desert are not good. I was expecting my experience to be so much better.

If your looking for the BEST OBGYN. You found him. I refer everyone to him. Excellent bedside manors.

I was very nervous looking for a new OBGYN since I had recently moved to upland. I did my research and I am glad I chose Dr. Alwan, Jan & his office staff have been very friendly and informative! I love how his office staff is on TOP off everything, I never had to call in to find out any results from tests, they always beat me too it. And the office staff has never been rude to me.

Obsoletely love dr Alawan. I think he’s Sweet and honest. He doesn’t rush me when I have questions. But his staff is not understanding. I feel like they are always charging me for something. I had a laser hair removal appointment which I went to and I loved the girl who did it. But when I went and scheduled for my second appointment for laser hair removal they had called me a day before to confirm my appointment and at that time I told them that I would have to cancel but I’ll reschedule. They girl said ok we are going to charge u the cancelation fee. And I had said «well I’m canceling a day before» and she said «your appointment is at 12pm and it’s 2pm right now it has to be 24 hours in advanced» I really want that same girl to do my laser removal but those girls will probably charge me for something that they didn’t warn me about they always do. But in their defense I did sign something saying that there would be a charge if I didn’t cancel 24 hours in advance. But I always make it to my appointments and it was the day before but because I was 2 hours of just mind boggled me. And the charge was $ 50 – 75 I can’t remember the exact amount. And I recently changed my name my last name is Saucedo jic the office reading this wants Unilocal to take me off no I have been to the office before. But again I love dr Alwan and I really want to go back but I’m trying to get over the staff that they have and I’m still bitter at them for sending me a bill for canceling 2 hours! That was expensive. I could’ve paid for my other treatment.

I love Dr. Alwan he’s great. He delivered my baby and everything went smooth. Yes, there is wait time when i see him thats why I schedule myself to be the first patient of the day. The 4 stars is because of the laser treatment I received from his RN. She was friendly but I didn’t pay to get 6 burns under my neck and multiple on my legs. Had to deal with this for a week and it was quite embarrassing. I have had this treatment before and never experienced getting burned. I sure hope she takes a refresher class.

I should have written this three years ago! Dr. Alwan is an amazing doctor! OMG! The nurse practitioner Jan is simply the best!!! The office staff is incredible. Dr Alwan was referred to us by a trusted friend. At first, I wanted to use my previous Dr who delivered our two older girls. My hubby wanted me to find someone different. I wish I would have found Dr Alwan in 2005! I highly recommend Dr Alwan. This was my third c-​section and everything turned out beautifully! His bedside manner was fabulous. He checked in on me many times.

First off the girls in the front office are not friendly at all! It’s like their working for free. They don’t look at u when u walk in. It’s a bad vibe in the front office. The medical assistants that call u in and take ur weight and blood pressure are a lil more friendly n talkative. Jan the nurse practitioner doesn’t seem like she really cares or compassionate. Dr. Alwan is nice. He will answer any questions u may have. He’s gentle. And professional. It does seem like he’s always in a bit of a rush tho. And it’s a long wait in the office just to see him and also a long wait to get an appointment. If I were to have another baby I’d probably look else where before I come back to his office again. And the blonde lady who does the gender ultrasounds is very friendly and helpful. If Dr. Alwan traded out the front office staff for some friendlier professional staff it would be a 5 star office!

I had never seen a Dr that is so patience and listens and aswers all my questions like Dr alwan. About a week ago I had an anterior/​posterior repair with Dr alwan and my recovery has been amazing!!! I thought I would be in horrifying pain but I have not at all! Yesterday I went back to see him for my follow up and he is still the same patience person willing to answer any questions I have!!! I would never go to any other Obgyn I understand that anytime you have a procedure there could be risks is your final decision to undergo any procedure. He explained everything very clear. I’m greatful that a week after my procedure I’m healing well and feeling good!!! thank you Dr Alwan.

Dr. Alwan is simply Amazing. He is very nice, compassionate and takes his time once he is in the room with you. He is VERY BUSY but YOU as the patient can schedule your appointments ahead of time to make sure that your appointment is with the doctor himself. I requested only to see him and when I did have troubles with my pregnancy I saw Jan Berry his Nurse Practitioner and she is very nice. His Ultra Sound Tech is the sweetest of the office staff… she knew our baby had been a big blessing to us as we tried for a while to conceive and when it came down to determining the sex of our baby girl… our baby was covering up but she did not give up she quickly did some tricks and got clear shots ensuring that it was indeed a baby princess. Delivery was smooth on doctor’s part …2 and ½ pushes and the baby was out. He took pictures with baby and all… Sweetest OBGYN! Thanks Dr. Alwan!
The ONLY down side is that the OBGYN contract was way off $$$$ wise even though I had a normal V-​delivery …questionable since no C-​section or anything special… It was a quick labor no extra meds etc.

The office manager has an attitude and so do the girls that answer the phone over at ranchos office. Gosh they think they can talk like however they want with the patients. Gess give us a break.
