Ideal Pizza

They are NEVER open! Hours are sporadic at best — the food they make is decent but totally unreliable.

Just moving to town and ventured out with a friend to find a local pizza place. Gave Ideal a try, as it was just down the street. First impressions are important to me. Walking in the door I see an almost empty drink fridge with shelving that is askew, basic tables and chairs with the chairs not neatly placed at the tables. That to me says not a popular place… The counter was clean, high and the interior bland and dated. Not very inviting. I ordered a large mushroom and cheese. Went outside, walked the plaza, drove about 5 miles around the town and came back… It still wasn’t ready. 5 more minutes and it came out of the oven. Price was reasonable, size was good, service was good enough. Got home and tried a slice. Not really great… Cardboard like crust, overly sweet sauce and just an okay tasting cheese. I do have to say, they used fresh mushrooms… I’m not inspired by their pizza, but will try some of their other offerings before writing them off. for good…
I hope I’ll be surprised…

Dirty restaurant!
We should not have ordered but we did & the food was so bad after a few bites we trashed it.

I eat here a couple times/​week and love their pizza. The owner and team there are very friendly. I can tell they put alot of effort into their food because it takes a little longer than you’d expect for a pizza joint. Just a heads up, when you call and order, they’ll tell you 10 – 15 mins… it really means 25. I know this might annoy some, but my GF and I always seem to find a way to laugh about it.

Every time i call they say 10 min yet when i show up ten min later my food is never ready. Food is still pretty good though.

I finally have the stomach to write this up. I ordered a 4 way pizza from them. Driver was late. I can deal with that. The pizza was horrendous. The restaurant went from bad to worse. The crust tasted like something from last month, and the topping tasted spoiled. I should have gone to the supermarket and gotten the generic pizza there. I was left with a horrible stomach ache, and praying to the porcelain god. I will never order from them again. I would suggest avoiding at all costs. It says they are under new management. Apparently this has not helped their food in any way.

I hadn’t been to Ideal Pizza in years because it was dirty and the food was mediocre at best, but The new owner has cleaned things up a lot… I got a Chicken Parmesan sub last week, it was ready quickly and was delicious. I will definitely go back.

I’ve experienced the inconsistent pricing referred to by L.M. as well.

The food is mediocre and the service is horrible. The two guys that run the place are jerks. They over charge me every time and then yell at me when I try to ask then to explain the price.

Cardboard crust.; the salad looks like rabbit food. They need to overhaul their menu and improve the ingredients.
