I’m forced to come here from time to time out of convenience, maybe once a year or so. Every year I’m amazed that this place stays open. The prices are ridiculous and the customer service is atrocious. What are they feeding their employees? It’s quite obvious they all hate working there. Poor attitude, condescending and unknowledgeable. Y’all should be in another line of work!

Horrible staff… these people are rude. They act like they don’t want you there… I have been In this shop time after time thinking my experience would be different and nope, it’s always the same. They act like your there just to bug them… I will never ever spend another nickel there. They need to fire every person that works there and sell the place before I ever go there again… the people upstairs are to busy talking with each other to care about what you want and very condescending. So sad bc they have everything a gun guy could want.
The people downstairs and Aholes and make you feel very uncomfortable. The people at the gun range shouldn’t be employed anywhere bc they are so freaking get rude… never again… now I go to Ammo Supply Point… not as big of a shop but the people are always friendly and helpful… they act like they want your business…

Wish I could give no stars. Where else can you go and be denied a purchase using plastic because the amount is under$ 5? Bs.

I’ll start off by stating I’ve worked over 10+ years in sales and customer service. Ignoring customers is NOT how you build a customer base and rapport. It doesn’t matter if the customer is purchasing a $ 2,000 gun or a $ 10 bottle of firearm cleaner. They each deserve a certain level of customer service.
I’ve gone in here searching for firearms, ammo, and other firearm accessories/​supplies. Each time I’ve never been approached by a sales person to ask if I need help finding what I’m looking for. They all act as if you’re not even there. A simple «Hello, how can I help?» would suffice. Hell, I’d even settle for a «Hey dude.» Now, I like supporting local business as much as I can. I worked for one in Vacaville for 5+ years. Even if it means paying more than online prices. But when a local business completely ignores customers as previously stated by other reviewers, then they will NOT get my business.

Just need to throw it out there. PHIL is awesome. He really works hard to make people happy. Definitely was understaffed in the gun department, but Phil was on top of it. 5 stars for his customer service.
It was my first time in there and I was hesitant after reading all of the reviews. You definitely need to check it out for yourself and not go off some bad experiences.

Over all good experience at the range today. Prices were fair and there was a good rental gun selection. However, professionalism was lacking from the range staff. Today we rented a 40. Caliber Glock 23 and we had 10 misfired rounds. When checking out we told them so they would know, and it’s not very professional or wise for a range staff member to
say «you know the crazy thing is, you could have re-​loaded these rounds and shot them again»… No way. Not safe and not professional.

This guy named Chris at the shooting range was very kind and respectful. He knew what he was talking about and have great advice on ammunition. We’ll definitely be back again. Thank you.

Store hours are great!
People who actually have a day job can come here Saturday or Sunday late into the evening and find they are still open. Same with the shooting range weekdays they’re open late.
As for Prices:
They are a little bit more expensive than other shops,
But they still offer good medium and best selections on all types of guns, ammunition and fishing supplies so you should still be able to find something within your budget.
As for selection I drive here from 30 minutes away because they have a great inventory instead of me visiting shops close to my house
Customer service is definitely where they are we weak.
Not really enough people and they never have a friendly face on when you try to talk to them. Owner or manager should force them boys to smile a bit even if they’re faking it LOL but I’ll still come here regardless I go to buy guns and ammunition not to make friends lok

They allow shotguns now! It was something about getting approval blah, blah, blah. I was just happy to hear they allow shotguns and typical of any other public range they only allow slugs to be used. I’m not sure about sabots though I only used the rifled stuff.

I enjoy reviewing the comments posted by other customers in establishments that I have rated poorly. The reason for this is to find out if the business is looking to their customers for information to make their business better. Apparently, after reading the plethora of one star reviews posted, they still do not give a damn about their customer. Can you imagine the revenue they could generate if they had the customer in mind. They do have a great selection of gun and fishing gear, but the staff, management and owner are so damn arrogant that they can’t see past the ends of their noses. I’m still waiting for a response to any of my comments that would indicate they value their customers.

First place I ever handled and shot a Smith & Wesson 500. That thing is as good as it gets. The echo of the underground gun range can be felt through your feet as you enter the storefront, music to my ears and the rush is felt from the ground up. A thundering vibration and sound that makes one humble in respect to the massive power jolting up through my Nike’s. This experience alone is worth coming.

This review is for the range only! I went today which was Valentine’s Day and it was packed! Chris at the counter took my name and number and told me it might be an hour and he would call me to let me know there was a lane available. While shooting I had a jam that I couldn’t clear and I asked Chris to help me out. I was one of the last ones there before they closed and Chris was kind enough to help answer my questions on aim, broke it down for me and suggested snap caps! Great guy, great range and I definitely will be back soon!!!

Everyone knows what the deal is here. Guys upstairs are old and grumpy, returning items here is a pain in the ass, but we all need to keep coming back because they do have what you need. Incredibly good selection for the size of the store. But the only problem as long as they’ve been in business is they forget the most important rule– the customer comes first. You’re not going to receive Bass pro /​Cabela’s customer service here, but you will find a huge selection of low to high dollar rods and reels, along with tons of terminal tackle and lures.
They have more premium reels and rods than bass pro and Cabela’s combined, believe it or not. They have a decent gun selection upstairs, but most guns are full retail listed price. Don’t come here expecting a bargain, but you most likely will find the item you need.

My first time here to check out the gun range. Always a good way to spend time sending rounds down range! Moe the customer service guy that helped us at the range was great. There was a short wait but who cares, they call you on your phone when your lane is open. Gives you time to check out all the cool stuff in the store. Most definitely will be back.

It has been a long standing joke of ours that the employees of here and Bass Pro Shops seem to never smile or be friendly, often bordering on rude. Today we were doing a private transfer and the gentleman helping us was actually good natured and friendly, now that is a good find at this store.
I brought a handgun in earlier with a trigger lock on it. (Came with revolver when purchased as well as the cable lock) I was told at this store that it is California Law that no handgun leaves the store without a cable lock on it. A trigger lock is not legal. Hummm… OK but that is how it came and that is how we left the original purchase dealer. No biggie I have the cable lock that came with the revolver. So, let’s do the private transfer… no problem I am told, but after leaving my revolver there for the 10 day wait period. (which is a stupid law, since I already have a gun registered) when I come to pick it back up, I MUST buy a new cable lock.
But I have one on the gun now… I also have one at home still in original packaging. So, I will just bring that or keep the one already on it… no I am told… you must have proof of purchasing a cable lock within 30 days of the transfer. I have the exact one they sell in a package still… nope he said it was the law in Ca. Well it came with a cable lock. On the gun receipt it shows revolver and lock purchased in November… nope it is over 30 days for the lock. Must buy a new one when picking gun up. Even though the same brand and exact lock the sell it what is on it now.
The locks are only about $ 10 so not a real big deal other than… they must sell the crap out of the locks. makes no sense to me.
Is this a case of Welcome to California?
Or a case of welcome to my store?
Is that really a law? Not questioning if a gun needs to be locked and safe for transport… questioning the requirement of must purchase a new one to show proof of purchase of a lock within 30 days? Do they come out with new and improved locks every month?

Have used the range several times and purchased a few weapons too.
The sales guys are great. The guys at the range are always so helpful but Marco is exceptional about explaining things to me who is not familiar with guns and offers advise and assistance to make sure I’m making the best decision for owning a firearm.

I would give the store a 3 – 4 star rating if it wasnt for the one lady that works there, Cinnamon i believe her name is. She comes off as rude even though shes trying to be funny i guess. she can never give a straight answer its always given in a smart assed tone. There is a younger guy that works there that is very helpful and is always willing to answer all your questions with a smile. There is a few of the other staff that are always a pleasure to deal with, they are always very helpful.
The fishing gear is plentiful, and they have a lot of guns, though the staff upstairs can come off as rude at times. They occasionally have really good deals on items, which is nice since some of the stuff is a little over priced. The knives are a good deal, but do your research first.

Lots of guns, fishing but not much of the «other stuff» I wanted to look at a shot gun and pretty much the sales people stood around and ignored me until I went to interrupt their social conversation to get some help. I also looked for some archery stuff, which they didn’t have much off.

So I went in to recently purchase my first handgun, a Glock 19(Picture blow, has the LASER on the gun). The price of the gun was reasonable and comparable to the other places in town and nearby. The employee who helped me was Joshua. When I handled the gun I grabbed it in a way the laser did not go off. Josh said «You will get used to it as you shoot it». So I paid for the gun, answered all the questions, and filled out all the paper work. That’s where the problems started. First, he had told me my 10 days ended at 5:55pm, on a day they closed at 6. He tells me just come in about 20 minutes early to fill out the paper work and they will be able to input it in the computer at 5:55, when my 10day period is over. I show up at 5:25pm to be rolled that information is wrong. They computer does not put out the paperwork until the exact time of the 10 day wait period. So I had to return the next morning. So I was frustrated I wasted that time but showed up the next morning. When I get there I was helped by Chris. He then begins to tell me I had to redo some paper because Joshua had messed up on it. So I do that and as he puts the info. into the computer I ask the look at my gun and I ask if the laser is in another box or not. He looks at the gun on the wall and says he’s not sure if it comes with it or not (even though it is not labeled on the tag). So he asked Richard. Richard tells me it does not come with it. And that they should all be labeled but is not. So I asked «since I purchased the gun on the wall, the laser should come with it.» He tell me it should be like that but I have to take it up with Bill or Travis (the owners). So I go in the next to talk to Bill. He starts off with «I’ve been warned about you. There’s nothing I can do for you. The laser does not come with gun. It’s a $ 300 f**kin laser» so I asked «why is it not labeled and why the employee tell me I will get used to it after I shoot it?» He admit the employee was wrong but did nothing about. He seemed he was not happy to talk to me and he couldn’t wait for me to just leave. I have heard quite a bit of people who will never go here again. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE AT ALL!
Mistakes: 1. Employee filled out paper work wrong
2. Tells me laser comes with the gun when it does not.
3. Fails to tell me if I do not shoot it, I can exchange it for the gun I want (Glock 17) since the Glock 19 doesn’t come with laser
4. Employees do not know their products or their policies
5. No guns were not labeled correctly until the following day when I went to talk to Bill. Then they all had «laser sights are extra»
6. Bill can not talk to the customer in a respectful manner, he feels he has to out talk every time
The only positive thing in my experience was Richard. He was the most honest and knowledgeable about the products. And he will take time to explain everything very clearly to you.

Great staff! Very knowledgably and patient. You can tell the old guys upstairs love what they do.
I bought my first rifle there (Tikka T3 Lite .308) a while back and they did a great job making sure I was satisfied with the sale. They even sighted in my Nikon scope for me at no charge. I was so pleased with the service that I came back a second time and purchased my first AR platform (S&P Sport .223). They have a great selection of rifles, shotguns and safes. I recommend coming here if you are a first time rifle/​shotgun buyer. They’ll walk you through all the selling points to ensure the firearm you purchase is best suited for you.
