J David’s is the only place I will go to purchase suits for my husband. The owner, David has been doing business with him for several years and has such a personal connection with his clientele that even if it’s been a year I can walk in to buy him a blazer or suit and he remembers exactly what my husband likes and points me to the right items. J David’s is all class and my guy always looks amazing.

I highly recommend them! My husband had the fortunate problem of having lost 30 pounds, only to find that the expensive designer clothes he had bought within the last year, some never worn, were now useless. Not wanting to write them off yet, we brought in a few of the pieces to J. David to see what they could do. Their courteous and knowledgable staff fitted him for alterations on a jacket, jeans and tuxedo, delivered them ahead of the promised date, and everything looked fantastic on him! Now that we know what they can do, my husband is going through his closet and we’ll be coming back with a lot more for alterations!

***highly recommended***I dropped of a dress this morning for tailoring. From the initiation (by Greyson) to when I walked out the door I felt welcomed and taken care of. I was greeted by name as I walked in the door as I was lead to my fitting room I was offered a beverage. David came over and was both attentive and quick in fitting me. I was blown away by their customer service and professionalism. Very kind people and a fantastic job on my dress.

J David’s offers the best service around in Men’s Clothing! The team is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. If you are looking for the best men’s clothing in Southern California (or anywhere, for that matter), you’ve found it!!!

This is my new favorite business in town. I can’t say enough good stuff about them. From the first call to ask if they could help me by tailoring a suit, all the way through to picking it up, my experience was nothing short of joyful. That probably sounds odd, but for someone like me who truly values customer service in my own business and rarely finds it elsewhere… that is the best word I can use to describe my time with them.
David, Jeannie and Chelsey (sp?) are MASTERS. I had a small ticket alteration but they treated me like a celebrity. Ladies, they aren’t just for men! Please bring your tailoring needs here! They also have an amazing guy offering shoe shine service– Rock. And he ROCKS. I had 2 pairs of shoes shined and they looked brand new. It was as relaxing as a pedi. (He also does purses and boots!)

I took three suits to J. David’s for basic tailoring. David helped me, and he was fantastic. I picked up the suits at the time and on the day that they were promised, and two of the three were tailored beautifully and for a very reasonable price. I didn’t realize that the third suit jacket, however, was only half done until after I was already getting out of my car on my way to an interview in Colorado. As I put my arm into the sleeve of the jacket, it went inside the lining. I took it off and then realized that the tailoring that was to be done in the waist area of the one side had not been stitched shut and was still cut open. Thankfully, the tailoring had been completed on the sleeves, which had been too long, and I was able to disguise the cut-​open lining by buttoning one of the front buttons (this is a woman’s suit, and I had them take in the waist a little on both sides). Nevertheless, knowing my suit wasn’t immaculate during the interview made me even more nervous than usual. (Thankfully, I got the job, notwithstanding my sartorial discomfort!)
Although I love this place overall and really appreciated David’s help, I’m a little annoyed that I have to return to have them stitch up the entire side of the jacket. I am sure they will make it right, and I’d still highly recommend this place. Just hope the tailor (s) pay closer attention next time. At the very least, the young man who brought the supposedly completed suits to me when I picked them up should have checked to ensure they were all tailored as promised.
UPDATE: Within moments of me posting this (I think she actually called me because I called an associate at the store after posting this to ask when I could bring the jacket back, not because of this review), Jeanne called and apologized profusely and is refunding the charge for the tailoring on the jacket. I cannot overemphasize how much I appreciate her contacting me. Even if they didn’t offer to refund the money, just that she reached out to me to apologize means a great deal. I’m actually changing my rating to five stars, simply because everyone is human and makes mistakes, and THIS, businesses, is how you do customer service!

Such a wonderful experience. We had been disappointed with the tailoring prices at Men’s Warehouse and J. David’s was beyond our expectations. Reasonable prices and quick turn around — we will definitely be coming back!

I just recently moved out to Santa Clarita and needed to get a suit and a jacket tailored. Rather than drive back into the valley for tailoring I saw the great reviews for J David’s customer service and brought my suit here to be tailored. They told me it would take 4 – 5 days to be completed and was done on the 5^th day when I called. I just picked them up today and everything looks great, they did a fantastic job on both.
The customer service I experienced both times I went in as well as the three times I called was great and I enjoyed myself with all of the different associates I encountered and even met the owner when I went in to pick up the suits. Overall a great establishment and I would recommend them!

Very impressed with J. David’s customer service as they went far beyond the call of duty with regards to tailoring my suit. Had suit altered, although Chelsea measured correctly the tailor it was outsourced to made an error in the pants. This was potentially bad as I was leaving town the next day (with the intention of having the suit with me). Not a problem. Understanding the potential calamity, Chelsea’s boss (forgive me I forget her name) immediately stepped into action, found one of her tailors who could fix it that night and then had it delivered directly to my door. Mistakes happen, no big deal. What matters is the effort they took to correct it, and to do so with an attention to quality in mind. Thanks again.

I feel very fortunate to have found this shop, not just for their quality selection and incredibly high standards, but even more importantly for the staffs expertise and professionalism. Finding a tailor who’s skills you can trust is hard enough but finding one who also understands and appreciates both classic and modern trends is what makes J Davids stand apart and elevates simply buying clothing into true gentlemen’s experience.

Everything is about customer service and experience and I can honestly say that this beat those expectations and more. What a wonderful store, staff and atmosphere. My then fiancée (now husband) and I went in to rent tuxedos for our wedding. We got exactly what we wanted, everything came in on time, alterations were expertly handled. I am thankful we stopped in and were more than pleasantly surprised. Thank you so much for everything!

Everything starts with customer service and experience, an J. David’s knocks this out of the ballpark! My wife (then fiancé) walked by the shop as we were looking for tuxedo rentals. The professional shop appeared way out of my budget, but thankfully I want in and met Grayson, the gentleman who runs tux rentals. He was excited that we came in on a slow night and treated my wife and I as if we had been friends for years. The tux prices were actually amazing compared to competitors, especially with the high end name brands they used.
We ended up renting close to 10 tuxedos with zero problems at all. They all came in when they said they would (they honor their word, huge plus!) and share honest opinions on of how they feel their products look on you.
I met David, the owner, and much like Greyson he welcomes everyone as family. We were not only able to rent tuxedos, but they have a shoe service in which I was able to get my suede dress shoes scotch-​guarded an dyed to keep original color.
Leah, their seamstress, and David altered my wife’s wedding dress along with her bridesmaids’ dresses to perfection. They put so much detail into everything, and to see my Bride so excited and beautiful as she walked down the isle brought me to tears of joy.
Chelsey, another employee, was quick to always answer questions and put in requests on our behalf to their suppliers. She has such a upbeat personality, and hey, she does bartending too! She and a friend ran our weddings bar so efficiently and so much positive energy that friends and family would flock in we direction.
All in all, this place is the real deal. If you want the best customer experience, high quality products, or just a place to drop in and hang out, this is where you need to go.

This is the absolute BEST, BEST place in town for tux rentals. My son recently attended his Senior Prom. One week before prom (we had to wait till the girl got her dress to match colors) we were running around town with a color swatch trying to find some place to rent a tux shirt, vest and bow tie. My son already had a suit so we only need those rentals. We started out at Mens Warehouse which was horrible experience. After much frustration looking for someplace that had a selection and decent prices I remember my daughters boyfriend saying he had gotten his suit at J. Davids. So one hour before the store closed we went to check it out. BEST decision ever! David was super nice and helpful. As soon as he started helping us my stress disappeared. He never rushed us once even though it was an hour before the store closed. He took his time to go over all our options and helped us decide on the best color choice to match my sons dates. As far as rentals go his prices were outstanding. I saved a lot of money by renting here. David’s price was HALF of what Men’s Warehouse quoted me. Within a half hour we were happy and out the door. Two days later my son picked up the shirt and vest and we were beyond pleased with the quality and design. The material was not cheap and didn’t look like a rental at all. The vest and bow tie looked like it was made of very high end material. The colors even matched perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They really know what they are doing here. Their customer service is EXCELLENT and so is the quality of their product. I will never take my boys anywhere else again. Between the all help, kindness, prices and the product itself, J David’s have earned themselves a new loyal customer.

This is the first time I am writing a review on Unilocal.However — I can’t say enough about this store. I started coming here around 2 years ago. I met Grayson who really worked with me to transform my style. If you are in need of clothing, I highly recommend Grayson and J David’s. It is a little pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. This is pretty much the only place I will shop for my clothes.

This is the best suit place around great quality and amazing customer service can’t get better than that. Grayson is your go to suit guy very helpful and if anything needs to be fixed he makes sure it gets fixed no problem. Cant get better than this this place go here over any other suit place you wont be disapointed and if you go somewhere else you will wish u want here thanks everyone at j davids especially Grayson you all are amazing.

We have been coming to J David’s since their previous, smaller location on the Old Rd. I remember coming as a young man with my father to pick out my very first custom-​made suit. It was a memorable experience. David walked us through every step of the process. He helped us make decisions and gave his opinions. I consider his taste impeccable and respect his knowledge and fashion advice. The quality of his fabrics and his customer service was fantastic, which is why it is difficult for me to buy a suit anywhere else these days. The prices are high, but the quality of product is nearly unmatched, so you are truly making a good investment if you can afford it. Plus they will make any alterations free of charge for life. I would have easily given 5 stars if the prices were lower. But again, I have been happy with everything I’ve gotten there. I got a couple more suits when they had their buy one, get the 2^nd 50% off sale. I have also purchased a custom made dress shirt and some button up shirts off the rack. All have been good quality and I am happy with my purchases.
David is awesome, very attentive, friendly, engaging with his customers. We don’t see him as much anymore, which I suppose is a by-​product of expansion, but whenever we do see him, he always takes time to chat with us, he calls us by name and is very genuine in wanting to provide a superior experience and interaction, regardless of how busy he is. He truly cares about his customers and invests in making sure they stay customers for life, which we have.

Hands down the absolute best place to find men’s professional clothing.
Customer service is top notch and only the best materials and designs.
Be prepared to spend some $$$$ but it’s well worth it. You get what you pay for

My favorite place to shop for clothes! I truly enjoy the visit every time because of the helpful and knowledgeable staff. David is an honest, hardworking man with tons of know how. He will set you up to look great and make sure you are happy and comfortable.
