Well let me start by saying I am 65YRS old so I am a bit crotchety. I just went for a piece of pie and coffee. The pie was served in a bowl not a dish and it was not very cold so it was kind of falling apart the 1st cup of coffee was luke warm and hotter on the refill. The slice was not very large as well. $ 2.49 for a cup of coffee!!! come on… The crust on the pie was not hand made it was what you would find in the freezer section of a Ralph’s. Maybe it’s just me but I expected a whole lot more from a place that was I say WAS known for their pies. I put this all on the ownership and management, NOT the employees my waitress was nice and did her job well. Will I go back, no I don’t think so and with social media playing such a large part of companies success or failure I would suggest that this location hire a pastry chef. I will start looking for better pie experience elsewhere. Oh they have dedicated one side of the restaurant to a Comedy Store, that right there tells you what has happened to the dining side of the business.

Sorry for the late review… Came here a couple of weeks ago for J. R’s comedy… It was packed both the show and the restaurant… There was only 2 waiters… Kevin was one of them… I cannot say enough about this guy… Not only did he have to wait on the comedy people but also the restaurant as well and he was handling a party of 15… he was amazing… i did not deal with the other waiter but he too was great… They made sure we all had what we needed and never faltered a second… Hats off to them… But Kevin was super awesome and we thank him for taking such great care of us! Thanks Kevin

Server was nice and good at his job, but the sausage tasted bad, the bacon was too greasy, the hash browns were hard(but not crunchy) on the outside, and mushy and starchy on the inside. Overall an extremely unsatisfying order of the Hearty Man’s Meal. I made this Unilocal account just to give this bad review.

I love Marie Callender’s brunch! They have everything from Mexican to Italian! I love the fact that I could chose my own toppings for my omelette. And can I add that the endless mimosas are just a cherry to my ice cream sundae. Make sure you ask for Jasmine as a sever. She makes sure to pay attention to detail. And always has a smile on her face. I love spending my Sunday mornings here.

Decent home style food, however our service was a little lack luster. It was a slow night but our waiter delivered our appetizer, salads, and dinner within less than 10 minutes. And then wanted offered to bring us a to go box while we were still eating. Great pie.

Went to this restaurant simply out of convenience. We had been traveling all night, and we’re waiting for our room at the hotel across the way. The Sunday brunch was a lot of fun, but it was slightly expensive. Had great ribs. Some of the items weren’t the best, but quite a bit too choose from. Went back the next day and had the rosemary sprig salad, which I highly recommend. Awesome dish. The atmosphere was nice, restaurant was clean, people were nice, and wasn’t crazy expensive. Good place to eat for the money.

Mediocre food and service was not the greatest. It is worse than Denny’s and ihop lol. But better than some other restaurants. Only good thing here are their pies. I can’t stand their restaurant food.

Excellent service and food was healthy. The salmon was a good choice and veggies were steamed and not covered in butter so it was tasty without the grease. The reason it didn’t get a 5 star is because when I got a box to put the leftover pasta on. It was the deadly polystyrene. So I asked if it was still legal and we talked and I asked if there was a cardboard prion and he came back with one. So if we all did that then polystyrene wouldn’t exist anymore. Again customer service was excellent and I will be back.

I am only rating the pies and pie counter. The Banana Cream pie was the best I’ve had. It was fresh and tasty. The service for pies is usually fantastic. Greeter pleasant and polite working hard to help after seating the restaurant guests. Over the years I’ve bought a lot of Marie Callender pies which are generally consistent. Only once(recently) was I disappointed with the quality and freshness of a strawberry pie but they redeemed themselves in the situation. Overall I rate the pie counter 4 stars. Banana cream pie itself this week is rated at 5.

Just used the bathroom here. I’m traveling from my home to college– which is a long trip. Their large stall was out of order. Now, I’m not handicapped but I had to poop and I have this problem where I can’t poop in public unless I’m in the big stall because I feel like I have more privacy there. So I had to hold it in and endure holding it for the rest of my trip. I had the Longhorn Burger and it was good. If only I could give no stars to this terrible place. Once upon a time it was good food, those days are long gone. Went in, after a movie, waited 30 min for a table and was seated. Waited 10 minutes for server to take drink order, so we told her we’d also order our food then. Waited 10 minutes to get 3 glasses of water. The section we were in was full, however the rest of the restaurant was empty. 35 minutes more and out comes the«food», swill would be more fitting. My wife & I had ordered turkey dinner. It was dried out, the mashed potatoes we’re lumpy the vegetables were rock hard & all of it was cold. Our friend ordered croissant sandwich that was stale & rock hard. We got up & left without eating or paying. Anything is better than this dirty, old restaurant whose time is long past. I hope they pie, to go, is still good. It looked like it was.

Had a cup of the chicken&tortilla soup. Acceptable. The shepherd’s pie though. Pot-roast with a dollop of mash on the top, is not shepherd’s pie. Mash had not even been smoothed over and blow-torched. Real pie looks like this

Wanted to give ZERO stars. Another disappointment. Our waitress REALLYEFFINGPISSEDMEOFF. HERNAMEWASDAISY. She was VERY attentive to my boyfriend… And treated ME like SHIT. SHEWOULDN’T SAYHITOME… She wouldn’t even make eye contact with me. She ignored mec the whole meal. She even asked my boyfriend, not the two of us, just my boyfriend, if he wanted dessert!!! My boyfriend even told her to ask ME if I wanted any. What a bitch. I WILL be contacting her boss!!!

Came for a slice of pie around 9PM on a Saturday night. Took a little while to seat us but that was okay. I had never been to a Marie Callender’s before, but my friend had once gifted me a chocolate pie from here. So, when craving pie, we decided to come. I got a slice of cherry and he got a slice of peach. Was really tasty warmed up. I asked for mine with whipped cream and was not disappointed. Their whipped cream is actually really tasty — thick and just the right amount of sweetness. My cherry pie’s filling was tart and tasty and the crust was great. We also got french fries and those were standard. Our waitress was really nice. She had a very soothing voice and a calming presence. Did not rush us at all and was always quick to refill water. I would come back any time for another slice of pie.

Walked over from our hotel and were seated promptly. We noticed there was a breakfast buffet and for $ 9 it was a steal. The quiche and cherry compote were divine. Fresh cut fruit was also really nice, juicy and refreshing on a warm morning.

I know that like all good things, they go away. I was hoping that a Marie Calendars would move closer to where I live, but now all I can hope for… are that the good ones stay right where they are as so many are dwindling away and closing! THIS is one of the greats! I know why the ones that have closed have closed, though I loved the one on PCH in Torrance(at least it was always good when I went there!) But this one is still great. The Management has it all together! The salad bar is great, the soup is hot, everything is fresh! Minus one star for not offering cornbread and my chicken waldorf salad sandwich(from the new $ 8 lunch menu) was kind of tasteless and the bread choice they used was off. Maybe to serve it on a croissant would have been better? But for the experience, it was five stars. The restrooms are always clean, the staff is always friendly and prompt and the pies are consistently one of my favorites! Love you Marie Calendars! Pleeeease don’t leave us! At least the ones who deserve a shot, need to keep their doors opened! It’s all about management — because the concept is tried and true… An all American menu with great pie for dessert!

This restaurant doesn’t disappoint. Their kid’s menu serve the right portions for little ones and chicken pot pie doesn’t disappoint. Servings make you fuller. Comedy Night is fun and never a dull moment every Friday. Their cakes are very delicious.

The people that work here are great. We really love the pies but the place is showing signs of age. Makes for a great spot to pick up food on the way home if you don’t feel like cooking, especially since you can have pie for dessert! If you love breakfast, this is a great spot. We like to get the family together and go out for breakfast every once in a while. Marie Calender’s has enough room to accommodate larger groups. We’ll give this a try one next time.
