ABC Sewer and Drain

Friendly fast service, was happy with the work done today. Recommend to anyone needing plumbing work.

There’s a reason they are cheap: They’re not good. They are incompetent and they can be very rude.
In Benicia, they snaked out my sewer drain but, a month later, it needed snaking again. Because 4 weeks had passed, they charged again for the work.
In Concord, they charged considerably extra ($ 190) to snake out the sewer line because they couldn’t find the clean-​out drain and had to go through the toilet. The plumber who came didn’t have the right tools and his van wouldn’t start up so I had to jump-​start it. The job was not properly done and, 8 days later, the sewer backed up again. They said they’d come and resnake the line the next morning. Every couple of hours, I’d call and ask, «Where are you?» «Oh, we’re on our way. Be there in seconds!» They never showed up. Next day, same nonsense. After they finally re-​snaked the line, they wanted to charge me another $ 90. When I argued that it had only been 9 days since the last time they supposedly did the job, Paul the Plumber grabbed my receipts and stormed away. He then called and left a message for me, saying that he hoped my sewer line would back up again and called me an «a — hole.»
I am amazed by all the 5-​star reviews.

We are the proud owners of an old home and with that comes issues with drains. We use ABC Sewer and Drain to help maintain all of our upkeep. They have excellent customer service and you can’t beat the price!

We cannot recommend ABC Sewer and Drain highly enough. We have had to use them twice, and both times they responded quickly and did a great job. This morning, we had nasty, stinky water back up in our utility sink where the washer drains (common set-​up in old houses), and I called ABC. They answered the phone immediately, and promised to have someone out within a half-​hour, but the van pulled up to our house in only ten minutes. 30 minutes later, the problem was fixed, for a very reasonable fee.

I was enjoying a quiet Sunday until I noticed an awful smell wafting through the house. It took me only a few minutes to realize that sewage was backing up into both my bathrooms. OMG.
I pulled up the Unilocal and was dialing one of the nationally advertised companies… and through the third level of phone forwarding when I started reading the review for ABC. I hung up the phone, called ABC and the owner answered on the third ring. They were at my house within 10 minutes of their target arrival time, were professional, courteous, and perhaps most importantly.efficient.
Within 10 minutes they had the line cleared. The charge $ 120. This is now my go to company for these issues!

WOW! the best called on a rainy Saturday evening they came right out I had a big problem everything was backed up. They fixed my problem hosed down my driveway made sure everything was clean and running. can’t beat the price. Would give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you ABC

Horrible since they sold the business to other family members. They do not guarantee their work & wont come back out to do the job right without charging another fee!

These guys have always done great work and go the extra mile to complete the task! My house is old and I have been here for 24 years. I have to have them come out and clear the pipes frequently and they always meet expectations and more!

I came home from vacation to discover — surprise! — a wet garage caused by a leak at /​near the hot water heater. It was New Years Eve and I was not optimistic that I would find anyone to come out on the holiday with such short notice. I started calling around and leaving messages with various plumbers and assumed most of the businesses were closed for the holiday. Just as I was about to get a bit desperate, Paul from ABC responded to my message, 45 minutes after that he showed up, and about an hour later the leak was fixed. Excellent service and a fair price. Highly recommended.

We’ve tried several plumbers in the Vallejo area and this company is the best. Uncommonly punctual, polite and with fair prices. We ended up going with ABC after CM Plumbing didn’t bother to show up for an appointment (not even a call). Dave had to go down under the house in the dirt and mud but was cheerful throughout. A real trooper.

I love Vallejo. Great hard working honest people and workers. We had used this company for years for roots since we live in a neighborhood with lots of trees. The original owner retired. Our sink backed up and we tried drain clear stuff but it didn’t work. My husband was ready to have a swearfest and take it apart himself. I said no let’s call the ABC. We did. Wow the young guy Matt was here in an hour. He took the pipes apart snaked it and in about 45 minutes it was fixed and put back together. Soo relived and happy. It cost 80 dollars but so quick so I guess that’s OK.

They do an excellent job. Prompt arrival and very fair prices!

Don’t ever use this company. Now to be fair they were on time, but that was the best I can say. The two young men that arrived, one looked very hungover and I smelled weed too! They didn’t speak when greeted and we’re not knowledgable and I felt like I was pulling teeth to get an explanation of what may or may not be the problem. I called dispatch not once but twice and their boss (I’m guess) defended them and was unapologetic, so those calls were pointless. Don’t use these people, you’ll regret it and have to pay too!

We have a leak from the upstairs to the downstairs in the pipes from the shower and bathrub. We called them out, they seemed to fix one leak but a day later it was leaking again. We called them to come back out, they said someone would be out to assist but nothing, no call, no show, no call back. We then placed a stop payment on the check written out to one of the guys there (which is suspicious since the plumber didn’t want the check written out to ABC). Fast forward, some guy from ABC keeps calling and harassing us making threats to come out and beat us up, called us niggers, and stated «this is why he hates doing business with niggers, that he shouldn’t help any niggers out». I think he called altogether 5 times now in the last 5 days. We’re anticipating him showing up to our house to harm someone.

I’m writing this review for my mom. She was recommended to them through one of her friends. She was very happy with ABC. They returned her call promptly (some places didn’t even bother calling her back). Paul came out right away to look at the leaky pipe & fixed it. Price-​wise she found they were very reasonable!

I rarely use Unilocal,but do believe these guys deserve a five star review. They are fast, friendly and offer very fair and straight forward pricing. I would use them again.

Our condo in Napa suddenly developed a leak originating in an upstairs bathtub, which led to water dripping into the downstairs living room. Yikes! On March 14, I called several plumbers based on Unilocal reviews and reached ABC Sewer and Drain. An appointment was made for Thursday, March 19 in the afternoon.
My husband waited and waited. No show. My husband called the company and spoke to a dispatcher, The dispatcher said that the plumber was at another location and couldn’t be reached. My husband tried several times more to confirm an arrival time but, with telephone issues and other snafus on their end, he gave up. By this point, it was too late in the day to call another company.

I have had a slow clog since moving in to my home a few months ago. This morning it became a full clog. I thought it would be fixed with Drano but that didn’t help at all. I finally gave in and called this company at 2 pm on a Sunday. Within 30 minutes their technician showed up. He quickly diagnosed the issue as a sewer blockage, got to work, and less than an hour later everything was fixed. The technician even told me what I’d have to do to mitigate the problem, though he did say it would return eventually (stupid roots in my lawn with a really long sewage pipe). I’ll use them again when/​if this happens again.

This place has a lot of great reviews, they must do good work but I am the exception. We called this company, they were quick to show up at the job. Nice guys but they misdiagnosed the sewer backup and told me i had to call the City of Vallejo for an emergency Sewer clean out, 2 neigboring houses on the same block were backed up. The technicians looked around but never did test or diagnosed the problem. They assumed because 2 neighboring houses were backing up it was a City problem. WRONG. It was just coincidence that 2 homes were backed up. City came out, they tested and diagnosed the problem and confirmed it was the house sewer lines. I called ABC and ask them to come out again, the person who I spoke too, I don’t know who it was told me to go fuck myself, that he already had been to my property and was not coming out again.
I have new tenants moving in, the toilets are not working, I am hungry, I am in desperate need of a plumber and this guy on the other side of phone is telling me to go fuck myself… he made my day even worst.
I won’t be calling this company again.
