Hello, my name is Arthur S., co owner of F.I.G. Here at Fix It Guys, it is our objective to become a valued asset to our community. Our combined construction experience in the Northern California area, includes both new construction work and remodeling work, on both Public Works and Private Sector projects. Working on these projects has allowed us to gain valuable experience as skilled tradesman, and Project Engineers. Our goal is to bring your project to life, without comprising quality or budget. Art and Derek did a bathroom remodel in my condo a few years ago. They did a nice job overall, however missed paying attention to the details.
I called them a few weeks ago to get an estimate for another project but they never returned any of my calls or messages. I believe part of running a successful business is getting back to people in a timely fashion. Let us know if you’re too busy to take on a job or simply not interested. But at least have the courtesy and professionalism to respond to potential customers.

PROS: They are professional, friendly, reasonably priced and knowledgable. I have had them over twice for light installations and both times have been great experiences.
CON: The last two times I have called them for jobs, I have waited over a week for a call back.
Promptness in a response would cancel out any negativity I feel towards this company. If they were quicker to respond I would give them six out of five stars, but be wary if you’re looking for a rush job.

I needed an estimate and we were given their number by referral from Home Depot. They came out, were very nice, friendly, and assessed the work to be done. They seemed helpful and willing to do the work. They said they would email the written estimate to us later that night or the following morning.
When we did not receive an estimate, we tried calling multiple times. They never answer the phone and did not return our calls, even after having left several messages.
I needed the estimate on a somewhat urgent basis, and they were aware of the time frame in which I needed the estimate. I wasted several days trying to get a hold of them that I could have used in getting another estimate done.
From the 5-​star reviews here, it seems that they do great work, but I wouldn’t know, since they were not courteous enough to call back. Even if they would have at least called and said they were unable or not interested in doing the job, SOME sort of response would have been good.
Their total lack of response at all just shows poor business management.
I hated to have to leave a bad review, because they were really nice, but nice doesn’t get the job done.

Friendly, prompt, professional, courteous. I could go on and on about Art and Derek at the Fix it Guys.
We had open shelving installed in our kitchen which began to sag after a few months. Every time I came into our kitchen the sag just annoyed me. Contacting the Fix it Guys was the best thing I could have done for those shelves. After speaking with Derek on the phone it wasn’t long before he and Art were at our home taking care of business, same day actually.
The team worked together making sure our shelves were once again perfect and sturdy. Now when I walk into the kitchen I see awesomeness all thanks to the Fix it Guys.
I took some before and after pics so you can see how my shelves were transformed from annoying to pure awesomeness.
Looking forward to working with the Fix it Guys again!

Fix-​it-​guys was referred to me by
, twice. The first time, no one ever called. The second time, someone called and set a date to come give an estimate. No one ever came to make the estimate, nor did anyone call.
Also, they are not a licensed contractor. I can not find them on California’s «Contractors State Licensing Board» to find if the are bonded, or have worker’s compensation insurance. If they do not have worker’s comp’ and someone gets hurt on your property, they can and probably will sue you.

These guys are life savers! Excellent work, friendly, fast, polite, honest, reputable guys that mean and do what they say. Integrity and quality work in a business like this goes a long way. I would absolutely recommend and use them again! Great!

I am giving them two stars only because they were really nice when I met them. They were very accommodating to my time schedule for the quote.
My biggest problem, they never called back. They came on a Saturday, checked out my bathroom that needed the work. Said I should get a quote by email that night. Heard nothing, I just figured they were busy. When I hadn’t heard from them by Wednesday I sent an email, a few days go by and nothing. I called and left a message that following Monday, no return call. The only thing I can think of is maybe they didn’t think the work I needed was enough for them to travel for. It is a small bathroom and didn’t need a ton of work, just retexturing and paint. It really is too bad, the gentlemen that came to the house were super nice and seemed very interested. I do plan on contacting Home Depot, where I got the referal from, and letting them know what happened.

They rarely return their calls. I was trying to offer them jobs on an ongoing basis, but after calling and leaving voicemails repeatedly, first weekly, then daily, I finally gave up and found another company. Very frustrating.

After the last storm seeped its way into our sliding doors and destroying half of our year old laminate flooring and master bedroom carpet we call fix it guys. What originally was a remove and replace became remove, remodel and replace. The master bedroom remodel turned out awesome and couldn’t have expected more. Art and Derick were true pros through out the whole process. A payment schedule was created and never an extra dime was asked for unlike other contractors that show up to get paid and
Not return for several days. Don’t get me wrong the remodel cost extra and all estimates and work were approved prior to them starting.
I would extremely recommend an use the again.

The Fix-​It Guys installed an attic ladder in our garage. They did a great job and even reinforced a problem area in the ceiling at no extra charge. Their bid for the job was very reasonably priced, and they were on time, friendly, and competent. They deserve their 98 out of 100 rating on Home Depot’s Red Beacon handyman service, and we would definitely call on them again.

These guys are great! We called them to fix two windows that had broken due to rot. Our house is an over 100 year old Victorian and the windows were original. They matched the style of the old ones and replaced them with good, strong redwood that will probably last another hundred years. They were prompt, professional and reasonably priced. I would recommended them and I will be using them again for a few other repairs.
