I go here to get everything done on my hair with Jaquie, she is excellent with the Brazilian blowout, hair color and fantastic blowouts, I’m really glad I have her as my stylist never do i walk out of there unhappy. The staff is great and friendly and they have great coffee. Thank you ladies.
So, If you’re looking for a new hair stylist, go to Jaquie she is very professional and knows what she’s doing, I’ve been going to her for years.

Stephanie gave me the best cut tonight! Not only does my hair look fantastic, but she was so fun! I usually wait forever for a haircut, but I won’t this time. Can’t wait to do it again!

I had been searching for a new salon and stylist for a very long time (I had been going to the same guy for 10 years or so, and his place was getting way TOO busy and impersonal). I found my new «home» at Trilogy with Tara. I love my hair color and I feel like she really listens to me and wants to give me what I want. Tara gave me a thorough consultation beforehand and realistic expectations. I’ve now been to her twice with my third appointment booked because I love how my hair is looking and I feel like the prices are very fair. The salon is clean, pretty and drama-​free. I can’t wait to go back!

I have been trying to find a hair stylist to regularly see for cuts, and I think Alexa might be The One. I loved how they pre-​book for your next appointment in two weeks. I LOVED my haircut and blowout, and it was for a good price. Be warned! You can’t tip on your card, so bring some cash with you ;)

I have never worked so hard in my life to make a hair appointment. Apparently they don’t want my money or business.

I was referred to Stephanie by a couple of friends and they were spot on. She is amazing. She is super personable and easy to talk to. She does fabulous cuts and color. I trust my hair in her hands and believe me, I’ve tried so many salons all over this city. Definitely book her next time you need a cut or color!

I was a client of this hair salon for 10 years and had a best experience with Tara. Recently schedulled my haircut and what a surprise!!! This place turned from little fancy Beverly Hills style salon to TRUSH CAN !! After useless trials to find somebody at the receptionist place to help me with my schedulled appoitment, I realized what happened– new owner. She was extremely rude and seemed not caring about clients; while almost all staff, except 2 stylists, been eating in little room back office, salon smelled like Mac Donald. Staff don’t care about schedulled appoitments — I was told to sit and wait 10 min after my appoitment time. Salon service looks like you getting haircut in Pomona for $ 5 haircut! Awful! Of course I cancelled my appoitment after this greeting! Very disappointing that such a nice business turned to such a scary place. I would not recomend anybody who want to feel respected EVER step in this place IF YOU RESPECT YOUSELF find something better– middle and high class — you deserve better than this place!

UPDATE: I finally decided to go back after my less than stellar last experience where they rebooked me with a different stylist without letting me know. This time my appointment stayed with Kaylie and I’m so glad! She did a fantastic job coloring my hair (w/​the help of the assistant there who is also lovely)! It was a complicated color and she took the picture that I gave her and interpreted it into an amazing look that really fits me! I’ve gotten so many compliments (and only one side-​eye from an older lady). I’m so happy with the new look and thrilled I ended up going back there! If you are looking to get color, I highly recommend Trilogy!

I absolutely love coming here! My hairstylist Kaylie is great! Coming from a different state, where I had the same hairstylist my entire life, I was nervous about getting highlights from someone else. Kaylie was so accommodating and totally understood where I was coming from. She made me feel comfortable and at the end of my appointment, she gave me a blow-​out, which I’d never had before, and the compliments from friends came pouring in!
I’ve returned to Trilogy, specifically for Kaylie, multiple times now and I have never left unhappy. All the people at Trilogy really make you feel special from the moment you walk in until you leave, which is a great feeling.

I came here to get my hair done and I love it.
My hairstylist was Jacqui, she was very welcoming and helpful.
I told her what I wanted and she came up with something better than what I had
visualized. It did take some time as she was working with another customer, but I like that she stayed late and worked on both of us with such good care. We order pizza from next door and just talked while we waited to be done.
I recommend this place and Jacqui! Book her.
Also make sure to be there on time people here have a life too.

Best salon in LA. Seriously. No drama. Top notch style. Fair prices. You can’t find a better place (I’ve searched long and hard to find this place). I look forward to going to Trilogy because I know I can trust their stylists and the owners take great pride in making it the kind of environment that upholds the hip LA style we all love, but avoids the pretension that so many salons embody in this town.

I’ve seen Tara for many years and always enjoy her vibrant, life-​giving energy that fills the salon when she’s there. She knows her stuff and she’s an incredible person to boot.
This isn’t a salon of ditzy, exhausting, gossipy hairstylists. This is a group of passionate, intelligent, fun, caring women who come together because of their love for creating beauty in the world and know the power of helping each person feel confident in their skin… and that many times starts with awesome hair. I have never gotten my hair cut by anyone else besides my stylist back in Texas. I’ve lived in LA almost a year now and hesitated getting my hair cut for so long. I decided to bite the bullet and try to find someone else in LA to cut my hair.
I was extremely nervous trying out a new place and stylist, but I’m glad I found Amy at Trilogy. I looked up the reviews on Unilocal and just picked a name. She did a FANTASTIC job! She’s super laid back and easy to talk to. She walked me through everything she was doing and put my kind at ease. Thank god!
I will definitely be going back! I’m just glad I found a wonderful place to trust my hair with. Thanks Amy and Trilogy.

Update time! This is for TWO appointments in ONE week.
I came back Tuesday for that trim I was talking about the previous review. Kaylie’s the only one who works on Tuesdays, so keep that in mind if you’re looking to book something Tuesday: there is ONE person there to answer questions, phones, and take appointments! That seemed nice, but one girl came in and was pretty demanding that her questions be answered and she book an appointment as Kaylie was combing out my hair. I guess I can understand since she said she lives far away, but it was really rude. I, of course, understood when Kaylie had to walk away to book the appointment. But still.
The cut took maybe an hour, mostly because of that interruption, but also because she took her time. She was gentle with my hair and attentive, all while we chatted about the recent earthquakes and ObamaCare. Last time I was here we barely talked, but I like it either way. During the haircut/​trim I asked about ombré and how I’d always wanted to try it, but wasn’t sure about doing it. Kaylie talked me through her process, the options and different ways to do it. So I said f*ck it! After my haircut ($ 65 w/​out tip) I booked an appointment for Thursday.
I also learned that my other review was incorrect. They DO have prices posted out in the open, taped down to the counter where I just didn’t notice. They’re also online and in a brochure. My mistake! I still think it’s expensive, but I think it’s worth it, too.

Kaylie wasn’t there when I got there, but she was only five minutes late and so I didn’t mind much. I sat down and showed her some references of what I liked (nothing too blonde, very nice gradient, gradual lightening, no stark lines, etc.). She talked about touching up my roots and we decided that was a good idea too. She disappeared to mix up the color and bleach, and was back pretty quickly.
She took her time sectioning off my hair and thoroughly coating my roots with the color we’d decided on (nothing too ashy like my natural color but close enough it wouldn’t have a big line when it started to grow out). After that she sectioned off my hair for the ombré, and we let the bleach set. The only issue I had with this process was that it hurt as she pulled on my hair in some places. But I have fine hair that tangles easily, so this really wasn’t her fault. This time we talked about video games and that was pretty freaking awesome. Haha
I sat around and she/​the other stylists constantly offered me tea/​coffee/​water and magazines, like they did from the moment I arrived, (I’d brought a book but the shop was particularly busy/​chatty today so I played solitaire on my phone instead. I couldn’t concentrate enough to read, but that’s just me, probably), and Kaylie checked on my hair regularly. She was encouraging and said it was coming along well. She’d estimated 2hrs which was perfect because I had somewhere to be by 5.
When the time came she cut out the little elastics holding those ponytails together, rinsed and washed my hair (she gives an amazing scalp massage omg), and took me to the table. She blew dry the first portion of my hair and I was stunned.
I’ve never had this much of my hair this light before. It’s not a BAD thing, though!!! She lightened it to a pretty honey/​caramel color that was exactly what I wanted. It goes farther up my head than I thought it would, but that means it just has even more time to grow out! My roots are a great color too, and work well (I think) with the ombré. It’s blended nicely and nothing stands out TOO much.
This process was $ 115 w/​out tip, which is the base price.
I’d been extremely skeptical about trying ombré, but wanted to for a few years now, and I’m glad I decided to go with Kaylie for the process! I was watching other women style/​color hair, though, and I really don’t think you can go wrong with anyone here.
Plus if you pre-​book appointments before you leave you get a little stamp card, and enough of them and you get a discounted appointment! (I think, it could be free, but I don’t think so haha)

Just an update to my previous review. Still seeing Ms Amy Hateley for all my hair needs. Got an updated short short new wave do last year and I absolutely adore it!
Saw Amy on Thursday and she gave me electric blue highlights to go with my stylish hairdo! She also takes care of the husband’s hair needs as well.
Also– just because I go for the Manic Panic brights doesn’t mean she doesn’t know her purty hair coloring as well. She has done beautiful shades of blondes to make a person think it was completely natural.
I cannot count the number of years I have entrusted my locks to Ms Amy but I am sure damn happy I do!

I’d been here once before when Taline worked here, and loved my haircut. I followed the advice of fellow Unilocalers and booked an appointment for a haircut with Amy, and I couldn’t be more pleased!
After a few «here’s what my hair has looked like in the past two years» pictures, and then a few «here are some various styles I think I like,» Amy told me she had a plan and got to work. The end result is amazing! I came in unsure and left feeling great. Amy is wonderful!

I was kinda nervous going to this place after so much bad luck with other hair salons…
I finally found a place for me! They really make you feel comfortable. They have coffee and magazines while you wait.
The prices are decent, the place is clean, good hair products and looks warm.
Once you walk in those doors, you automatically know that Trilogy is for you… no lies. Rosabel is such a sweatheart, down to earth, honest, does your hair the way you want it and beautiful! Wow!
