Great store a great service so fortunate to still have one of these in our backyard. Expert photo advice is invaluable and we’re lucky to have stores like this in the online era. Highly recommended.

I’ve been using VPS for about a year now. Love their high quality prints. Their printer is on it. Every print has been perfect. Had a couple small issues with a some prints in the beginning and had to have them re-​done. It wasn’t a problem.

After some great experiences, I had a run-​in with the hostile, combative owner, who insisted that I would never find any place locally to develop my old APS film rolls and argued that I shouldn’t even want to have them re-​developed in the first place since prints had already been made from them. He started yelling at me in front of other customers. Well, I not only had Walgreen’s do it, they did it less expensively. The rest of his staff of great, but this guy has put me off using this business for good.

Came in to get my passport photo taken. Service was friendly, he helped me to make sure it came out well and was super fast. Was in and out in 15 minutes (probably less). The picture is good quality and I will be happy to flash my passport with this picture!

Started coming here about under a year ago in regards to a busted dslr. All the employees were very helpful and patient with my flood of rookie photography questions and concerns. My go to store, always recommending to people because of the friendly service, knowledgable employees and killer equipment! If you guys need really good older lens’, definitely come here! Noe, Sean, and mike rule!!!

I wish I had read some of the reviews before I went because it looks like people have had the same customer service problem.
Short version:
I brought in some old film and asked the guy at the counter what would happen if the film didn’t come out. He said I would be refunded. I’m also not used to pre-​paying for film developing. But I went for it thinking they would refund as they said. Needless to say the film didn’t come out on 2 of 3 of the rolls and they refused to refund anything.
The story:
I brought in 3 older rolls of film that were older. When asked to pre-​pay ($ 35) I asked about the age of the film and what would happen if the film didn’t develop and he was extremely reassuring that I would be refunded if it didn’t come out (not just if it was blank, if it didn’t come out).
A few days later we went back to pick up the film. When asked if the film came out he said it had. When we got home and opened it 2 of the 3 rolls were blue. No pictures came out. When we called a different guy answered the phone. My wife was very kind and patient and told him about our dilemma and what we had been told by the guy at the counter. He was immediately cold and defensive and basically shut her down. She asked him again if he would honor what his employee had promised us and he said no.
The extremely rude guy, Mike, was the owner. WOW. Mind… blown. I couldn’t believe that a small business owner was going to be such a prick. I had made the decision to go to a small business instead of Walgreens. Apparently in this instance I had made a poor choice. Although after a hostile conversation he said we could come in to discuss, we opted not to. To be honest, it was apparent by how the phone call went that we would not be able to rationalize the situation with him. In fact, we were so put off by his rudeness that we actually told him we had planned on giving a negative review.
I have a bunch of other film to develop. Valley Photo will not be getting any more of my money. How can you pre charge someone for something and then not refund them when the product is bogus?
Total joke. Awful business. Terrible owner.

I’ve been coming here for years to develop my black and white film. Always pleased with the results and appreciate the professionalism of the staff!

Love this shop. Great service, good prices and always friendly service. Been here for passport photos and camera repair. Never fails me in customer service. Check it out if you are in the neighborhood.

I don’t have much to say about this place. They were nice and had what I needed. And it’s right by where I live, so that’s a big plus. I got d76 developer here but not the bleach I needed to develop black and white reversal supper 8 film.

Great prices and great service. Found the battery charger I was looking for and they had a 20% off deal just for checking in.

Thank God this place is still around and hasn’t closed like all the other real Camera Stores. A friend referred me to the store saying it was an old mom and pop shop that will take care of you. He wasn’t lying when I walked into the store I felt like I walked into a small town shop. Not just because the style of the store, but because of the amount of customer service they gave. The attention they gave me was like i had been shopping there for years. I was in a pinch and they provided the things necessary for my job that day. The biggest surprise was FILM, yes film. They still sell and develop all kinds of film. This is definitely one of the better places I’ve been recommended in the valley. Thanks Guys

They are just down the street from me, so I though it would be fast and easy to work with them.
My first encounter I needed a battery for my 1960’s camera, so the fact that is wasn’t in stock was fine. I was told they would get a shipment in about 2 weeks later. Which seemed long, but whatever… about a month later I get a call telling me they have it. That’s a long wait.
Next I needed my lens looked at, I though it might have a scratch or, maybe the sensor on the digital camera was having a problem. But I definitely wanted the camera body cleaned. I left it with them. They said they would call me back with an estimate, if there were any repairs needed, in about 2 weeks again for another approval.
As far as I know I never got the call. In the meantime I moved and started grad school. So I lost track of time. About 5 weeks later I called them, and yes they were just waiting on my approval. Nothing wrong that a cleaning wouldn’t take care of. I thought I’d already approved that.
The young lady who took my order originally and I assume is the same one on the phone, wasn’t even apologetic in any way. I said, I was waiting for your call. That’s the way it was left. Not that I should check back in in a couple of weeks.
Perhaps the cleaning service is fine, I don’t know. I didn’t want to find another cleaning place, so I approved the cleaning, but it’s pricey and it’s time consuming. I don’t think I’ll be back.
Just know that the service could be faster and they could follow up more.

Have seen this place for years and today I walked in took my Nikon digital camera for repair and tuneup, I was assisted by Mike the omer of this place for over thirty years! What a great experience! He took his time to explain and helped me find the right accessories. We took pictures with the new filters and he showed me how to use it. All that with a smile great stories and patients.
And reasonable prices. He even trow in a gift after all was said and done, I was amazed by the service.
If you need any camera or photo service do not think twice, this is the place to go!!!

Quick and easy passport photo! Comparable prices to the big chains. Plenty of parking available. Always nice to support your local businesses.

After shooting a high school prom last Friday, I (stupidly) dropped and broke my camera. Took it in on Saturday and Sean was very helpful. I informed him that I needed it for another gig in a week and a half.
They were great at expediting the repair (broken shutter) and I got it back today, good as new.
They do charge a $ 20 fee to examine the camera, but that is then put towards the cost of repair. Paying a professional $ 20 to diagnose a camera isn’t a deal breaker for me.
I will definitely go back for other photography needs.

Good fellas. I recently took my Canon lens in here for a repair. I was hesitant to plop down the $ 20 estimate fee considering I might just have to buy a new lens anyway. It turned out these guys were able to fix it! The estimate fee went toward the repair, and I didn’t have to buy a new lens!
I would definitely come back here again.

Went in to have my lens and camera deep-​cleaned. Sean and others were really cool and explained the process thoroughly. Sean was very enthusiastic about photography in general, and very helpful.
I just came back from the store, and found that they had also glued some of the rubber parts on the camera back as well, going above and beyond the call of duty.
Stores like this are such a strong argument for why small shops like this are so much better than purchasing items or getting services online, as it’s far more personable and valuable to customers. I absolutely will be going back again.
P. S. As a bonus, they’re right next to Joe Peep’s Pizza. Pizza, photography… can you do better than that. I thought not.

Had another camera deep-​cleaned. I do a lot of night sky photography in the desert, so I put my cameras through a lot. Perfect again. These guys are super helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. What more do you want in a camera store? Support local business, especially those that go the extra mile! Ample parking in back of store.

Wow what a trip in time for me. I went to valley photo for some odd parts for my camera, and they had them! I needed chargers for two of my cameras and the first one was easy enough, but they could not find one for the second camera. So they call another store (competitor) to help find it and after a long search and chat they found it in their store. This was wonderful and got me up and running!
I used to have all my kodachrome 64 slides processed here in the late 70’s but kodak took my kodachrome away and my heart was broken.
This place is oh so nice, and surviving in an ever increasing online world. Please help keep them alive, so when I need something, I know where to find it!
The customer service was beyond top notch. I recommend this place!
