We had a HORRIBLE experience moving 2 summers ago from Newport to Irvine with Alex Moving and Storage. I’ve been meaning to write this review for a long time but just didn’t find the time until now. The movers were awful.
The furniture got all scratched up with many small dings and scratches found after the move that had not been there before and when they put together my son’s furniture, they damaged it from lack of attention to what they were doing with the drill. When they nailed the two pieces of his desk together, the nail came out visibly and the outside edge was cracked.
When I got around to contacting the company to ask for redress, they made the process so difficult that I just gave up. Do yourself a favor and don’t use this company.
Our moving experience was horrible.
This IS INDEED a real review. I’m a physician with very little time but felt it was my duty to warn others away so they would not have such a terrible experience. Moving is already stressful enough without adding unprofessional movers to the equation.

Miguel and his team at Alex Moving & Storage provided us an easy, smooth, and painless move. We hired the Beltmann Group (North American) for our move from Santa Monica, CA to Chicago, IL in September and I assume Beltmann outsourced it to Alex Moving & Storage. On moving day, the team was efficient, thorough, and courteous. The driver Miguel said that it would be him and the same team unloading in Chicago with a target arrival date of 5 days. For those that have moved, there is always anxiety related to not knowing when your stuff is going to arrive, the window moving companies quote you can be as wide as two weeks. If was such a relief when Miguel and his team arrived 5 days later and were just as professional as they were in CA. Speedy delivery, no lost items, and no damaged goods, it doesn’t get much better than that when it comes to moving. I would definitely use this team again for my next move.

Beware of their other names, too: Santa Ana Movers, Uribe Trucking. Alex Moving was recommended in a discount program by our Union. They ‘moved’ us from CA to AZ in July, and it was (& continues to be) a nightmare. The crew was worse than anyone you could pick up on the corner; their parting comment was «shit happens.» An entire patio set is ruined because they lost all the chairs (Insurance wants to give us $ 300 for a $ 2000 set!), pool table broken & unrepairable (Insurance allowance $ 300) and the list goes on. Although they were aware of how bad this move was & fired the crew, Alex won’t stand behind you and neither will North American. If you don’t want to wind up in court, steer clear of this company!
