Big Mamas & Papas Pizza

Ordered delivery through Eat24. I ordered Onion Rings and an Italian Hoagie Sandwich which was described as follows «Salami, prosciutto, mortadella cappacola, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, green bell peppers, black olives, provolone cheese, and Italian dressing» ordered it without the olives. I get the order and start to look at it. The sandwich is missing half of the meat (only two kinds of meat on it), no onions, no bell pepper, no Italian dressing. I also checked the sandwich to see if mustard was on it (it is not on the description) because I am allergic to mustard. I get some Italian dressing from the fridge to doctor up the sandwich. Started eating the sandwich and a few minutes later I don’t feel so good and can’t breath. I tear apart the sandwich again and scrape off the mayo (also not on the description) and find mustard hidden under it… thankfully my Eppi pen prevented a trip to the hospital. The sandwich was only 10″ long what a rip for $ 8.99. The meat and the tomatoes were sliced paper thin and the onion rings were really dark like they were about to burn or cooked in really old oil. Beware! They make their food however they feel like and don’t stick to the menus description. They also don’t give you all of the ingredients you paid for. Eat elsewhere.

TERRRRRRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! The guy who was taking orders on the phone was incredibly rude. You are running a business you shouldn’t be so rude to a customer. I was polite during the call but yet he found the need to be ill-​mannered.
The man over the phone seems like he needs a hug or a smile thrown at him. Lighten up dude you have a job and the ability to work. Don’t be such a sour patch. Its ANGRY AND MEAN men like him that give the Armenian Culture a bad name.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS BIG MAMA AND PAPAS. GO TO THE BURBANK ONE. BEST SERVICE ANDE BETTER TASTE.

My boyfriend decided to splurge and buy two pies from this location online and have them delivered which had a lot of toppings on then and cost about $ 100. First problem was they put one of the toppings on the wrong pizza, which I was willing to overlook then a moment later we realize they switched the two orders and put the wrong sauce on my pizza also! When we called Armen to tell him about the mistake and maybe get another pie to replace it he kept telling us how we were wrong, that he personally made the pizzas, didn’t mess up and wasn’t going to give us a refund or another pizza unless we bring the pizza over to show that he is wrong. We ended up driving over with the pizzas and argue for about 3 minutes that he messed up and after looking at the pies he kept telling us that he didn’t mess up. He didn’t start to believe us until my boyfriend had to take apart a slice that he admitted that he messed up. Then he apologized for his mistake and offered to make us two new pies at a discounted rate (not even free!) Long story short Armen had a bad attitude till towards the end and we will never come back to this one in particular again

I made an online order here 12÷9÷2015. It was 120.00 order. They delivered on time and it was hot fresh still. The problem was that they messed up the sauces on both of my pizzas. I called the restaurant to inform them of their mess up and see if can get the right pizzas (Once again I payed 120.00 so i want what i payed for). When the owner Armen answered the phone he 100% insisted that he had done exactly what I ordered and wouldnt provide anything cause he was right. I had to go out of MY way and drive to THEIR restaurant with the pizzas just to show that they were wrong and to get a refund which I’m still waiting for. Will never buy from here again.

The food is by far extremely delicious. I, for one love the calzones. But the customer service is terrible at this place. I ordered a calzone with no ricotta and the guys just began laughing at me for no reason. Terrible, and I mean horrendous customer service. It may be close to home but I might just consider another location for that same reason.

When I’m in need of a Chicken Sandwich, this place has the best tasting ones in Van Nuys.
It comes with some really good fries on the side, and some jalapenos if would like.
All the workers there are very great at what they do.

I was at my friends house few nights ago and we ordered one large pizza pepperoni only. Gentlemen on the phone said $ 20 even ($ 17 pizza +$ 1.53 tax rest delivery fee… I thought to my self well expensive price for good pizza. An hour later the pizza guy showed up (older cranky man)! Just took the $ 20 from our hands and left. The pizza was cold, but still good. But regardless I ordered a nice hot pizza and got a cold good pizza. today I gave it a try again this time instead of them delivering and charging me delivery fee etc I went to pick it up avoided waiting the 1 hr. Waited 20 mins… This time it was $ 19 even… So I’m lost with price because the other day they charged me $ 17 + tax + delivery fee… To me I feel like I got ripped off in many ways. Good pizza if it’s warm, watch out for the prices always ask before you accept. Maybe state board of equalization should pay a visit.

The pizza is fantastic. I took a chance on them and I’ve been back at least every other week. The staff and cook are very friendly and the pizza is so good. If you haven’t tried them out, do so. their great!!!

Are you kidding me? I just ordered a penne pasta with Alfredo sauce? What sauce? The pasta is just penne with cheese sprinkled on it. To make it work it was 10.99 for that crap. Never again will I order from them.

I ordered the egg turine with three toppings — broccoli, eggplant, and jumbo shrimp. This is so delicious ! !
The meatballs were perfect too.
My one and only complaint is they forgot to add the shrimp. I’m guessing it would have been over the top tasty.
After a couple hours, I finished it off! Turns out shrimp WAS in there. They chop it up small, so I literally didn’t see it. They really know how to blend flavors. The shrimp added an extra yumminess without over-​powering the light flavors of dairy. I will order this repeatedly.

I got this pizza when I with my uncle I never want this place again the pizza doesn’t have taste il rather have ate something else

The only reason I ordered from this place was simply because I have seen their advertisement on Facebook, and I have to admit that the pizzas shown on the Facebook page looked quite delicious; however, I was very wrong. I ordered two extra large slices; they looked tasty on the ads; however, once I received the slices, I noticed that they were really dried old pieces of reheated pizza. It was absolutely dried, not flavor at all. The slices were also very thin, I was simply eating dried bread. I also ordered a sub, which of course was horrible. One of the worst imitations of pizza and sandwiches I have ever eaten. I would simply not recommend this place to anyone. I am simply amazed how this pizza appears to be famous around celebrities.

Now If you want rude service and mediocre pizza; this place is for you. We called in a pie for pick up, and they didn’t even start the order. He told us he thought it was a prank call.
I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here, unreal. Ruder than most New Yorkers !
The guy working there had such a nasty attitude we walked out. The place itself was grimey, momma Kass would not approve. If you are gonna have an attitude, you better have bomb food and a clean eatery.

Giving this place 1-​star and only because the pizzas were off the chain. This location has the WORST customer service I’ve ever seen. A place full of rude and grumpy employees who will get in your face and yell when you ask a simple question about the menu… was glad to walk out and tell them to f**k off!!!

Very good and delicious. Easy to order online. Store had it ready. Good people. Its on a busy street but lots of available parking in the center. Will be going back.

I usually order from canoga store but I was in the neighborhood visiting my grandmother and googled and saw a location close by… the pizza was great

This is my second time ordering from this location. I ordered a pizza and caprese salad — pizza is fine. The caprese salad came with what we’re basically blocks of tomato, whatever I can cut them smaller. The mozzarella on the salad is the WORST I’ve ever had. It is really hard and has an almost rancid taste to it. I called the store immediately and whoever answered the phone told me it is «my problem» and that they’ve never had a complaint before. I’m so mad I wasted money on something that is not edible. Terrible service!!! Do NOT order their caprese salad.

While in SOCAL for a family trip my boyfriend, sister, grandma and I were looking for a rite-​aid. on the way we saw this place and starting craving it! There was sign that stated pizza by the slice so it caught our attention.
On our way back to the hotel we stopped in. There were two middle eastern guys running the joint. One on the computer behind the counter and the other guy preparing another order. we walked up and the guy on the computer didnt even look twice to help us. But the other guy came to help.
My boyfriend and I each ordered a slice of combination. My sister ordered peperoni. The slice was huge and the toppings were generous! I will post photos! Making it crave it now haha.
Yeah the service could be better but the pizza is actually good!
I would go back when in the area.
