Came here after reading some reviews of people who had good experiences. I used to come here when Kristina owned it and the people were amazing! I made an appointment with Jenny because after all that’s the only person people have wrote reviews about. She took my existing acrylics off and made 3 different nails bleed and did nothing about it, seemed bothered with having to remove the acrylics. I wanted coffin shaped acrylics. I got those but they are all different shapes and super flat with no shape. The design is awful as she was rushing through it. I thought after I left I would be happy with what I paid $ 40 for. Not at all I will never be returning here. Hands to hold in encino charges the same price for amazing nails and awesome service.

I haven’t been here in about a year and a half because I moved. The only reason I went is because I was in the area and I did like one specific girl. I forgot her name but I believe it started with an A? Anyway, the original people are gone and it’s all new really young girls. The girl who did my nails filed my nails crooked. I have acrylic on one nail because I broke it and she still put acetone so it started coming off. She didn’t even bother to fix it! My nail polish isn’t even painted to the edges of my nail completely. She also DIDNT CUT MY CUTICLES! So basically I only got my nails filed and a polish change for 20 bucks because it was gel! Horrible, horrible service. To top it off, She kept stopping every couple of minutes to talk to her co worker! If you need to speak to a coworker, then learn to multitask! I dnt recommend this place! Dnt waste your time or money here!!!

Would you want your nails looking like this only 1 WEEK after getting a gel manicure here? Poor quality work. Such a disappointment considering I live 2 buildings down. If you want fast and easy come here, if you want to get your money’s worth, LOOK ELSEWHERE!

Love this place had great experiences every time I go super friendly staff I love Jenny she is so sweet and always does my nails wonderfully! I’ve been to other places and compared to this place its like I was being robbed by other nail salons Everything is great there!

I’ve been going to Jenny for my nails for over 4 years so when I found out she bought this salon, I followed her over here. The drive is a little far from me but I don’t even care because I’m obsessed with the way Jenny does my nails. I’ve tried so many other girls and salons and I can’t find anyone that compares to her.

LOVED that they were opened on Sundays. I needed a wax and they saved my life. Quick, clean, and easy service! The ladies here were really nice and there is free parking. I will definitely come back for a mani & pedi.

They do a really great job with gels. There is never a wait. I can usually be in and out with gel mani and pedi in an hour. Really nice staff.

Love this nail salon, the owner is wonderful, I am not able to get there as often as I like but she always remembers me. All the staff treat you wonderfully, it is a very relaxing hour. You can laugh, sleep, chat and just relax. I never make an appointment, they are always willing to get me in and the wait is no more than 5 – 10 minutes. Really great place to get your nails done

I have had the same nail girl for 20 yrs but she just recently retired from her location. So I have been looking for a new spot for a while now.
I only walked in this place cuz I had a dentist appt and this nail salon is in the same shopping center. Im glad I did! I got a gel manicure from Holly and she was so careful and she took her time with me. I was very pleased with her work. I really didn’t want to mention her name for selfish reasons (i don’t want her to be booked when I need her). hahaha but that’s what Unilocal is all about right!!!
I was amazed this place even lets you pay with your card!!! Dont forget. if you’re going to pay with your card, make sure you include your tip BEFORE they swipe it. Other wise you will get your reciept with no place to include your tip.
So there you have it, make that $$ girls ;)
FYI, this location has horrible parking. Be prepared!
update: Just dropped back in for a tip. The girl I bragged about is no longer at this site. I don’t know where she went but she will be missed!

I went here twice, on my last visit the lady cut my big toe skin to deep and it bled. It has been bloody and sore for 2 weeks now. I went to my regular nail shop today, and now have fungus on that same toe nail. They said it happened from them damaging my skin and their equipment not being clean! I have never had any type of fungus in my life. I will be reporting this to the state board. Not good!

I feel bad about this. But after my glowing review a couple months ago, I gotta share my most recent and disappointing experience, if for no other reason than to average my score to three stars, and not mislead others.
Annie wasn’t there, and while I’ve never had a problem with the other manicurists, I feel like Annie’s presence is important for boosting morale.
The woman who did my gel manicure, ay, ay, ay, it must have been her first time. She was older, very nice, but seemed nervous. I was so close to asking one of the other women if she could take over, but I didn’t want to be THAT customer. Now, I wish I was.
It’s been a week and a couple days and I’m getting some minor chippage. This has never happened before. It shouldn’t happen with the gel, especially after week.
I will go back, I’ll just be sure to speak up.

I think Annie is the only one worth seeing here. The other ladies are too careless and sloppy. It took me 2 hours to get a freaking gel manicure! I made the lady redo my nails after I showed her how a few nails we «ok» and the others were all lumpy and uneven. Annoying and unnecessary. I won’t go see anyone unless it’s Annie.
«wait 20 minutes ok» is also always the case.

relatively inexpensive, spa chairs work, that was a bonus! my french pedicure was a lil crooked. i didnt notice that til after i left because i was in a hurry. i’m sure i could have had it fixed had i noticed while there… very clean…
