Nice place to do business. Fast, friendly and honest. The buyer comes out, looks over the vehicle, takes pictures and pays the agreed upon price.

I called them and told them about my car. They told me the top offer they would give me. That offer was under the book price by 2000.00. I was ok with it I new I only wanted a small amount for the car. Once the representative arrived he took pictures and asked why I wanted to sell it and what was wrong with it. I was honest and told him. The repairs on my car was about 700.00 but it was not major and it was drive-​able. He low balled me and offered me 1000.00 I told him no. He pretended that he was making another phone call and then said 1300. I said no again. He explained that the car had scratches all over it and it would need to be painted. I told him that I want 3000.00 which was still an extremely low bid for what my car was worth. He went on and on about the work that needed to be done and if I tried to sell it myself. I continued to tell him I was not desperate and I would just keep the car. He told me that if I didn’t take the offer today and called them back later they would only give me 1200 no deals. I said that’s ok I will keep the car. He kept «calling the head quarters» (I don’t truly believe he was calling anyone.). I kept saying no. He then said ok after about 5 what seemed to be pretend phone calls. I said ok got my ID and he cut the check. It was pretty simple except for the bargaining. I know I could have gotten more but I didn’t need it and I almost feel like the rep knew nothing about cars, He did not look under the hood. He only moved the car back and forth turned it off and back on. I know they got a super deal and I have a down payment for a new car.
Meanwhile it has now been 4 days and the car is still sitting. I cannot take the tags off my car and I cant drop the insurance until I am sure they have turned the title over from my name. I called the rep and asked him when will he get the car and he said sometime this week. I explained to him that I could not take the tags off or I would get a fine. He seems not to care. I am a little upset I want to turn in my tags and drop the insurance.

Liars and Cheats. Don’t waste your time. They came out to our house in Auburn, CA a few weeks ago to look at our 2001 GMC Yukon XL (Blue Book Fair value over $ 4000). They offered us $ 1000. We declined, but said we’d think about it. The guy said, «No problem, if your change your mind we’ll give you $ 1000 on the spot.» We called them back after deciding that we didn’t want to take the time to show the car to prospective buyers. They sent another «associate» back (smoking while he was here) who said he just needed to send the boss photos again to make sure it was still in the same condition. The car had not been driven or moved from it’s spot in the 1 month since their last visit, except to be washed. The boss calls back and says «$ 400». No thank you. We will never waste our time with this groups of liars and cheats again.

Clyde was very personable and professional. The selling process was straight forward and I got what I thought was fair for the car. The only problem was scheduling a buyer to come to my home to look at my car. The website staff was quick to say someone could be right there but that was not the reality. Not Clyde’s fault though. Be persistent and straight forward with them. They beat the Carmax quote I had in hand. Would be 5 stars if not for the mismanaged appraisal scheduling.
