Autumn Chase Apartments

I never felt the need for posting on here but this is the most bullshit ghetto complex.
Lets just say when i get the money I’m gonna buy the entire complex out and put this worthless piece of shit «business» out of business!!!
Don’t think for one second that I’m kidding whatsoever…
If this doesn’t motivate you to not give these uneducated, iq of –19 «employees» money, then i don’t know what the hell you need me to say, other than good f**king luck!

I WOULD GIVE IT –5 STARS IF I COULD THIS PLACE SUCKS fucking ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

I live here and I like it here. Management is fantastic. They are human but real people and they go out of their way to take care of you. Every Time something breaks, someone comes to fix it the same day. My neighbors have been quiet and respectful and the community is really clean. If you are looking for a place, I highly recommend this one. When I moved in a met a couple of people who live here who told me it was the worst experience of their life and to not ever move here. I also met some people who loved it here. Now that I’ve been here I simply cannot understand what the naysayers were talking about. I get the feeling they would be unhappy no matter where they are. I read the negative reviews on here and they puzzle me. That’s not been my experience in any way, not even close.

The absolute worst place to live. Management does nothing to enforce rules regarding noise. I hate being home & my neighbors upstairs continue to see their concrete shoes around as they play fetch with their large dog in the apt. I have a head ache constantly. Do not move into this place.

Small apts for expensive rates.

If you like living in the Ghetto, you will love Autumn chase. On the outisde, it looks like a great place, until the evening kicks in. Than a lot of drugies and alcoholics that wake up and start to party next door. The rent is very pricey if you are living like a normal person would. However they allow double the number of occupants than originally intended. So a lot of drug dealers are able to fit in, and haul their muslce cars and flaunt their illegal income.
In my unit they allow four, and the two of us barely fit in. This is how a lot of unpleasant people can afford to live in a nicely advertised, yet shitty area.
Trash areas are not cleared up often enough, and garbage is overflowing.
If you think you will be able to use the pool, you can quickly forget about it. It’s always overcrowded with children and jam packed, because there are more residents than the complex can handle.
Let’s move to the best part: the parking. Getting your car to park is the biggest challange. The covers that you will get are absolute crap, and you won’t be able to fit in a mid sized vehicle.
If that wasn’t enough, watch for the lease contract, filled out with unjust enrichment. When I wanted to break the lease, I found that they don’t have the usual lease agreement. They require you to give them 30 days notice before the first. If you don’t manage to do that, they will charge you the whole month afterwards. So it will generate a total of 3 months rent, even if you use the unit for a day longer.
They will also harass you with unconvenient intrisive inspections, where they will enter your unit, even if you are not home.
There are far better condominiums in the area. Strongly advise you against renting in this ghetto.

Friendly staff and neighbors. Excellent value. Great location. Great maintenance staff.

I’ve lived in half a dozen apartment complexes. Autumn Chase is by FAR the absolute BEST APARTMENT HOUSING ESTABLISHMENT I’ve occupied!!!
The staff is friendly and professional. They are eager to assist you with anything. The apartment grounds are always pristine, which is hard to say for many other places.
Also very fair priced for the amenities you have available to you. I was not too excited about being in a renting situation again, but I sure am glad that I chose to set up shack here at Autumn Chase!!!

I really never post on here unless I feel very strongly (positive or negative), and for your sake I hope that you don’t move into Autumn Chase. I am rating it a ¹⁄₅ for the following reasons:
MISLEADING:
My roommate asked about the negative Unilocal!Reviews, to which they replied that it’s a non-​issue because they recently got new management. When followed up later and asked how long ago, they told me that it was in 2012… Almost all of the posts on here are from 2014 and 2015.
NOT DEPENDABLE:
Since I was told that I would not be allowed to get my key before they made contact with my landlord, I called the day before I was scheduled to move in and asked was whether or not they had been able to get a hold of him yet. She told me she didn’t know, and that the individual handling my account was at lunch (at 2:45 PM) and would call me back in about 15 minutes to confirm. 15 minutes later I got a call from the guy… and at the same time, got a text from my landlord with an FYI that Autumn Chase had just called him and that he gave me a positive reference. Soooooo reading between the lines here: On the day before I moved in, Autumn Chase had not even called my landlord yet, and because of it I ran the risk of showing up with all of my stuff in a U-​Haul and being told that I couldn’t move in. Good thing I chose to follow up!
POOR ATTENTION TO DETAIL:
After being approved my roommate was told that we would be emailed the lease agreements by the end of the next day. I called at 5:30 PM that next day and inquired about the emails. The lady told me that they had been sent out at 9:34 AM. I told her that we never got them and asked her to read me the email addresses that they were sent to. BOTH of them were wrong! I asked if we provided the wrong emails on the form and she said «Nope, he must have just typed them in wrong. I’ll resend those now!» They got BOTH of our email addresses wrong, and sent our lease (pre-​populated with our personal information) to two random email addresses. I have since followed up with those two email addresses, and am waiting with fingers-​crossed hoping that I don’t get my identity stolen!
LEASE AGREEMENT:
I read every word of the 56 page lease agreement, and had 22 follow-​up questions. Every 2 – 3 questions the guy had to ask his manager for the answer…3 of those times she corrected him and he changed his answer to me. Here are the things that stood out from my phone conversation with him:
WRONG RENT:
My rent was written down as $ 1,260 with a $ 15 car port fee on top of that. I asked the guy to review our initial agreement because I was pretty sure we discussed $ 1,250 and that included a car port. He paused and said «oh, yup let me change that». He said he’d email me another copy of the lease agreement, which I never got… Ultimately it didn’t matter because two hours later I called back to tell them I was not interested, I’d rather lose my initial $ 140 down payment than live here.
UNUSUAL CHARGES:
They told me that I will be paying a portion of the Landlord’s property taxes, as well as a portion of all Common Area Maintenance Fees. The Common Area Maintenance Fees were brand new as of last month, so they were only able to tell me a guestimate of what those would be. A mystery expense? That could be a fun surprise when opening up my first rent bill!
INDIFFERENCE:
They use a generic form that is used primarily for their Seattle area, so when I asked about some discrepancies that didn’t pertain to me, it was shrugged off as «not a big deal». I’m (electronically) signing a legally binding agreement that I’d have to follow (and can be penalized because of)…This was not something I want to come back and bite me months down the road. Plus, if it’s really not even that important to them to give me an accurate lease agreement, what else are they going to try to cut corners on?
MISLEADING:
I asked about the Overnight Guest Policy of no more than 10 nights in a row, or 20 nights a year. The guy told me if wasn’t a big deal and that as long as someone «isn’t there for more than like 15 nights in a row you’re fine». I asked about the 20 nights portion of that clause, and he seemed unfamiliar with it. I then asked if I could have it in writing that I wouldn’t be evicted as a result of having someone over more than 20 nights a year… to which he paused to ask his manager, and then told me that I would be evicted if I violated that policy. What if I had assumed that he knew what he was talking about and I didn’t stop to (re)clarify? I could have been potentially been evicted for something that I was just told was «fine».
Without having even lived there, I had such a bad experience that I don’t recommend anyone to move in. I can’t even comment on things covered in the other reviews: minimal parking, crime, bug problems, loud neighbors and poor rule enforcement, unsanitary common areas, and being constantly nickel & dimed with fees.

I am hard pressed to give this place a one star, but it is clean. I don’t live here, and I never would. My bf has a place here and the apt is okay quality for the price.
The dishwasher is there, but it is directly adjacent to the sink, so getting dishes in it is a logistical nightmare. You get water everywhere if you rinse and then load, plus you have to stack your dishes, move away from the sink, open the washer… then reach over it to get the dishes to put in. Really?
Then there is the issue of parking. There is sparse parking at best, and you could end up walking a half of mile to your place, if you are the second vehicle in a two car apt. Or you could park in your spot, but good luck get in and out of your spot or car. The carports are nice, but the spots are so close together that you often find yourself contorting your body in the most odd ways to get in and out of your car. Of course, expect to get lots of dings in your doors, because everyone else is having the same problem. However, you do become ingenious at inventing ways to load and unload your car.
Lastly, there is the issue of car break ins. My car was broken into a several of months ago, my bf had his truck broken into and stuff was stolen just yesterday, and the neighbor’s car was taken and then dumped at a drug house just a month or so ago.
The upside is that they give out free donuts, it is fairly quiet, and they have cool amenities.

So I had a one year lease with this place because I thought the units were impressive and that it was easy to get into. Requiring $ 250 deposit upfront and the first month rent. The property manager explained it was due to my excellent credit and so I was just pleasantly surprised.
Fast forward to move in day, I was greeted by an assistant that was so rude and off putting I almost withdrew my move in. He did all the things you don’t want. When he asked for my housing insurance I explained it’s somewhere in the paperwork of my car. He tells me flat out «Until I see your renters insurance you’re not moving in.» WOW. JUST. WOW!
So I log in to their crappy computer in their office on their crappy internet connection. Spending 15 minutes to pull up my account and print proof of my renters insurance. Does this really need to happen to a guy that has spent the last five hours driving in a U-​haul with all of his stuff? After all said and done I call their management and file a complaint. I get a voicemail with no call back.
Then I come to find out that the unit is INFESTED with FLEAS. I call in again and explain what’s wrong.
ME: «Yeah I would like to have management sort out my unit. I just moved in last week, I’ve been gone since the first day move in and there are fleas everywhere»
Property management person: «Well that’s hard to believe because there was no notes about FLEAS» Very rude tone
ME: «I’m not here to argue, fact of the matter there are and I have no pets. Did the last tenet have pets?»
Property Management:: «YES It looks like they had pets but they never mentioned anything about fleas» I’m sure they didn’t ;)
Fast forward summertime. The main features and reason I pay more than other apartments is for the luxury of using the sites pool and hot tub. Guess what? I think I could use a public pool or hot tub in Bolivia and it would be more sanitary than this piece of shit! I’ve seen human waste in the hot tub before! The pool has been closed for almost two weeks. Plus I didn’t realize this at the time. But I could just get an apartment somewhere and just use this one because they never police it. I’ve been there and for a solid month, 20+ teenagers who didn’t live there would party every evening from 7−10PM without a single word from security. This is a «première» apartment complex right?
Top it all off they swindled me by using fine print. When I left the unit perfectly intact, carpets shampooed, holes from picture frames sealed and painted over. I get a closing inspection cost of $ 550. I was blown away. What about the $ 250 deposit? In the final lease it was worded as «Administrative fee». Along with that, the fine print indicated that despite the apartments condition, the tenet would be charged for «repainting» and «carpet shampooing» regardless of the condition of the unit. None of this was explained to me when I did the closing paperwork either. This is also despite the fact that they did not even paint my unit when I moved in. As I found countless nail holes from the previous tenet.
All in all. This is one of those money trap apartments that tries to put on fancy dressing for the lack of management and quality. There are countless other apartments that for the same money, will offer a far better rental experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. There just isn’t any reason to justify it.

I have lived here for 2.5 years. Parking is horrible. Every night cars are parked all over fire zones. I personally have had my car stolen twice and broken into 1 time. The site security here is a complete joke. I will not renew my lease here. If you have any valuables DO NOT leave unattended.
If there is fire you had better pray because all the fire zone parking is taken up by people car.

Was I in a leasing office or was I on the set of a hidden camera show where my reactions to flagrantly bad customer service were being recorded for future television hilarity? «Blatantly unprofessional» may be too generous of a phrase to describe the ladies – including the manager – that work here.
I can get down to some raw, dirty, booty-​shakin’ hip hop, but should it really be blaring from overhead speakers during office hours? The manager of the office (the Asian woman) was on the phone when I walked in so I guess she doesn’t mind it being audible to the people who call to inquire about apartments.
After standing by her door so she could see that I had entered, (she didn’t acknowledge my presence at all, just stared past me) I went to sit on a chair in the main area. A few minutes went by, and another woman entered the office wearing what looked to me like a full-​body wet suit, but clearly some kind of extreme exercise gear. I thought she was a tenant until she walked into the office adjacent of the manager’s one. Two people went in with her so I assume she had just given them a tour of an apartment.
After about ten minutes, the Asian woman ended her conversation. I patiently waited several minutes (she was in no hurry to talk to me) before I began coughing loudly to remind her that I was there. She finally came and asked me if I was there to look at an apartment. She talked to me for a minute before leading me to her office so she could see what was available for renting. As we were sitting down, her cellphone, which was laying on her desk, chimed and a Facebook notification popped up –she actually stopped talking in the middle of a sentence to read what it said.
Autumn Chase describes themselves here on Unilocal as a, «caring, conscientious and professional staff;» I saw none of that when I was there. On the Autumn Chase website, they claim that to be the winner of the «CEL & Associates A-​List Award for Customer Service.» I will be contacting that company; maybe they will want their award back.
