Super warm and friendly owner and bar staff! The bathroom was immaculate so not sure what that other reviewer was talking about. Excellent open mic on Thursdays. It’s where the locals go!

I’m a fan and love just hanging at Donnell’s. I’ve been going a couple times a week since they opened and haven’t had a bad experience. Staff is great and very friendly. Drinks are GREAT! Menu is limited but what they have is great. The pastrami sandwich is awesome and my daughter loves the turkey and that’s saying something too, she’s a picky girl. It’s a great neighborhood bar to meet up with friends and have a good time. The karaōke is awesome on Friday and Saturday nights with Birdie and her crew. They just started an open mic night on Thursday and I hear there is some pretty good talent. Looking forward to many more visits!

Used to come to this bar every so often. The kj they have on the weekends is incredible. I was under the impression that this was a welcoming place where everyone could feel welcome and not worry about discrimination. Recently is has come to light that the owners of this establishment do not support LGBT people or charities as they don’t «want to be known as a gay bar.» This is very unfortunate news as this was never anyone’s intentions. All anyone wanted (thought they had) was a place free of this exact issue.

Absolutely horrid experience. Some friends and I were only passing through town and I regret choosing this location. Immediately had horrendous service and was welcome to a nasty bathroom. Didn’t even feel right using it. Ordered a round but as soon as we drank what we ordered, we left as soon as we could. Much better options in the area. The only plus to this place is if one is looking to have a night out on a budget. Staff was unprofessional throughout our whole stay. I don’t expect militant service, but I at least expect good service. No thanks.

Absolutely horrid. Went in on a Sunday afternoon to grab a drink and wait for my wife. Grabbed a beer and a shot, ordered the same for the wife. While we were there, a bartender proceeded to spank a patron with a bar mat in the middle of the dining area. Bar mat immediately went back on the bar without being cleaned in any way. Owner of the place didn’t seem to care at all. Shortly after that I get the tab placed in front of me without asking for it. Not sure if we were being asked to leave or if the bartender was really that clueless. All in all, never going back. Atmosphere was weird as hell and the décor is terrible. Only thing this place has going for it is $ 2.50 beers.

A lil Cheers of Vancouver! Fresh menu, GREAT drinks, always has drink specials, 4 large TVs to watch the games, Fridays and Saturdays are KARAOKE nights with Vancouvers’ very own KJ Birdie… Fun Bartenders, and a good atmosphere! Recommended!

I was a Dubs regular and played a ton of pinball there. The good news is that it does not smell like piss. Other then that it was not a good first visit for me. Went on a Tuesday for lunch a beer and pinball. Older staff that seemed slow on confused. Waited for 15 min to order a sandwich and then left and had lunch next door.
