A very nice brewery located in Vancouver, WA! Steve and I were on a brewery marathon and had a lot of fun! Since this was a marathon we had to regulate our drinking so we didn’t get a bunch of different types of beer at any one brewery. On this trip probably the best porter I had was the one here. I had the Twice Baked Porter which was delicious and very warming for the cold, winter day that was going on outside. Staff was friendly and in great form! I would love to make a return trip!

Attended during the grand opening, really enjoyed the IPA I had, though someone cut in front of me and the guy pouring didn’t notice. I was standing by the walk-in cooler and noticed a randle. I asked what was with the hops and the gentleman in the cooler he said just ask for it at the bar. I was really excited to taste this infused version of the beer I just drank. Unfortunately, two friends of the server showed up and cut in front of me. They were offered beer before me, the guy waiting in line. One of my pet peeves.

This place rocks!!! The owner is an artist when it comes to beer and is incredibly passionate about his craft. He not only brews a great IPA(three to choose from) but is fun to chat with from behind the bar. Try this place out it has great vibe with a rustic industrial feel. He had lots of great choices for my fiancée the the beer lover that I am.

Who knew this awesome brewing co. was hanging out in Vancouver next to a trampoline park? I was oblivious under yesterday when I met coworkers here for an afternoon drink. I hesitated at first, because I don’t like beer.(Go ahead, judge away). But… they had a cider on tap! Yay! And not just any cider, Finnriver’s pear cider, which is delicious. $ 4 for an 8 oz pour… I’ll take it. On Thursdays they also have The Nomad come in and sell delicious hot dogs. I opted for one of these as well. Meat from a local butcher and buns from a local bakery… perfect! Also, featured toppings that sometimes sound strange but seem to work well. This afternoon’s topping was a pickled ginger, wasabi, seaweed, something something(didn’t quite catch it all… but it was good!). Bonus points because the guy cooking these suckers up was super friendly. Know that they accept cards but there’s a $ 0.50 charge. Anyways, Fortside was the perfect spot to be on a warm summer afternoon. Try it out!

This brewery is new to Vancouver. The inside is awesome, great service and great beers, they make here on location. They have not had a grand opening yet but only word of mouth for now and they easily have 15 – 25 people which is good for being word of mouth. You have a growler, bring it, only $ 12 to fill it up! You want a beer float, being your own ice cream. This place is fantastic and on the rise! Come check it out!

Fantastic crew, great atmosphere and most importantly, great beer!!! Their Pale Ale is a perfect blend of Hops and perfect for this time of year. If you like a good Stout then stop by soon before the Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Russian Stout runs out!

Couve A’Licious It’s a lifestyle. It’s an escape. It’s a beer. Find all three at Fortside Brewing Co in The Couve. The Tap Room just opened to the public 3 days a week: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 4:00 — 10:00 pm all 3 nights. Other days, it’s only open for private events. Olivia Z. and me joined a small group of local brew lovers for such a small event. It was Couve A’Licious. Couve A’licious is Fortside Brewing’s American Brown Ale splashing a smooth 5.2% ABV and 20IBU. If you’re in Vancouver and not sure which beer to get, get a Couve A’Licious and embrace the Couve lifestyle. Zythological Pale Ale was an American Pale Ale from Fortside Brewing Company that was still relatively tame at 5.4% ABV and 39IBU. It may not reach mythological levels, but it does reach zythological ones. I also tried pints from two other breweries. The first was a Wild Ride Brew Hopperhead IPA(6.7% ABV) and the other was an Upright Red Wing Lager(5.8%). They were good counterparts to the Fortside brews. Another cool local drink discovery at Fortside Brewing was their homemade Fortside Root Beer. If you like root beer, be sure to try this because it is definitely not that can stuff we are used to drinking. Fortside Brewing Company may be new, but it is another strong addition to the Vancouver, Washington microbrew scene. In fact, it’s totally Couve A’Licious.
