My husband and I were driving after church looking for a breakfast place. We saw this little place and decided to go there. What a great decision! The service was awesome. The Decour quaint and sweet like grandma’s kitchen or something :-) the food was very tasty. My husband had traditional eggs and bacon. Also a single pancake on the side which was huge! I had my standard order at a little diner like this, a patty melt. Which by the way was awesome! Very nice burger with sautéed red onions and tons of cheese :-) just the way I like it! It was grilled to perfection. I would recommend this place for a great breakfast or lunch.

Real fine food. Wonderfully boring old man conversation all around me. Booths comfortable enough to sleep in. Large amounts of pepper and Tabasco on the table. A plethora of Smucker’s jellies, jams, and marmalades. Me thinks this is a union breakfast staple. Eat here if you’re rad.

We were on vacation from California and found Lisa’s on Unilocal.I’m glad we did! It is a quaint little country restaurant, with an amazing omelet! They have very large portions. I ordered the ½ size country omelet, and couldn’t finish it. Will definitely be going there again when we come back to Washington!

What can I say? This has become my favorite breakfast place in Vancouver and I’m sure when I’m done at PSU this will be my weekend brunch spot every week! The food is amazing and the portions are MASSIVE! I ordered the yummy Taco Omelette and was only able to eat half of it! I did manage to finish my homemade biscuit and hash browns; guess who is having omelette in the morning? ;-) If you want the most bang for your buck and the feeling of an old fashioned American dinner; then this is the place to stop!

This Mom & Pop style diner is my go-to spot for weekends when I don’t feel like cooking. That being said, I’m a regular, and the staff always greets me with a smile. The only complaint I have about this restaurant is the occasionally slow service. The trade-off, however, is incredibly fresh, hot meals every time. To say the portion sizes are… large…is an understatement. My favorite menu item here is the Farmhouse Omelet, and I usually choose to substitute their fluffy pancakes for the hashbrowns & toast. When I get the full order, I have leftovers for two meals! I’ve never been disappointed in anything I’ve ordered. The atmosphere is warm and homey, so much so that the ladies’ room is plastered with hand written prayer requests. There’s also an «Amish» fireplace and a cozy seating area, if you just want coffee with a friend. You can bring a large group, and be sure they’ll be able to seat your party in the overflow room. I can’t believe it’s taken me 4+ years to write this review. I hope it won’t take you as long to eat here.

Typical American diner food, which is unfortunately, not a compliment. The food here was just awful, I got eggs over medium with a side of breakfast potatoes, a biscuit and two sausage links. The eggs were greasy but ok(hard to screw up an egg) but the sausages were dry little sticks of grease, the biscuits tasted like sour flour and the potatoes were at least 3 large potatoes scrambled up with grease and large bits of bacon piled high and falling over the edge of the plate. How anyone could eat that much food was beyond me till I looked around at the other patrons. At least three quarters of them were obese, several morbidly. I’m tired of trying to write nice reviews about these mom and pop restaurants. I respect that someone has taken the time to open this place, employ people and make a living for themselves but they’re selling unhealthy food to people who apparently don’t know that the quantity and quality of food put into your body has a direct effect on your health. You only live once, try cooking healthy food for people, and bettering the lives of your customers instead of turning them into wheezing blobs.

Been here many times for breakfast or lunch and have never been disappointed. The regulars are fun and interesting to talk too, service was great, food was worth way more then you pay!

We absolutely love Lisa’s. My husband and I moved up here 11 years ago, and had looked for a great breakfast place. Finally, a friend takes us to Lisa’s and we have been eating breakfast there on Sundays for 5 years. The food is great, serving are large, and it’s so very comfortable. GOODHOMECOOKIN! And Lisa herself is often our server. She always remember I need a large glass of water, and my husband hates green peppers.

One of the best diners in Vancouver. Owner Lisa is the star attraction. A sweet woman that makes you glad you came into her restaurant. Food is classic diner fare. Breakfast is good with most omelets coming in full ahd half portions. Taco omelet is one of my favorites. There are always breakfast and lunch specials in addition to a good size menu. Great lunches too. The counter is where all the action is, but Lisa even has a banquet room for large groups(which she has often).

Great lunch at Lisa’s today. Killer value and good food. I had turkey melt — very good. Wife had pancakes and eggs — good. Daughter had biscuits and gravy w/hash browns — very good. In-laws had omelets with hash browns — very good(thank goodness for ½ size as even they were huge). Service was friendly and quick. Would definitely go again if back in the area.

Love this place! Bang for your buck, and if you’re on a diet, beware! Turkey melt is my fave but everything is wonderful including the service.

I think the fellow Unilocalers have got this one just right. It’s ‘A-OK’ in the classic diner sense. My additions: It’s really tucked into the corner, so you have to pay attention or you’ll drive right by. Also, like much retail in Vancouver(and particular the independents), you’re pretty much stuck with the ‘strip mall’ gig. There are no real real cute retail areas except for Downtown ‘Couv, but nobody lives or works downtown anymore to support those retail fronts. So, in that vein, I enjoy the décor. You walk into this unassuming strip mall corner and once you enter it has a classic diner bar and expansive space. Keep in mind too when restaurants go into these generic strip malls, they are also recycling what would be wasted retail space otherwise. Good on them. Food-wise? Well, like the other reviewers, it’s right down the middle. Good solid diner fare. Most likely, you won’t be disappointed.

We’ve passed this place several times and have wondered… should we try it??? There really isn’t much for breakfast options in Vancouver, so we decided to save ourselves a trip over to Portland and give this place a try. We walked in on Christmas Eve late morning and found the place pretty busy. We wondered if their business picked up after the Shari’s down the street closed. The old school diner seating around the counter was full of what seemed to be «regulars». I ordered an omelet, my husband a scramble. The portions were HUGE! The menu had the option of a half order, which is what I should have ordered since I only ate half. But the leftovers were breakfast the next morning! =) The omelet was loaded with tons of cheese, a little too much for my taste(will have to ask for light cheese next time). My husband’s scramble was really good. This is a greasy spoon, comfort food establishment. Service was friendly and efficient. A good place for an old fashion breakfast!

That’s funny. In all my time at weight watchers meetings(held in the same little shopping area) I never did catch on that Pie is considered a side dish. Or that«Lighter» options for a meal include Taco Salad and Nachos. Then again, now that I’m enlightened, if these options are wrong, I don’t think I want to be right. Lisa’s is like having a meal at your grandma’s house. You can bet whatever you order is going to be a classic meal circa 1960 in this old diner blanketed by the most adorable Country /Americana décor you’ll find in town. This greasy spoon has a traditional lunch counter you can sit at if you beat the regulars, and big booths and tables scattered around for groups of about 4 – 6. It’s absolutely packed on the weekends, so get their early. Of course if you don’t like crowds, breakfast is served all day, so come back later… it’s completely empty come dinner time. Meals are straight old school. Think chicken Fried Steak with sausage gravy, or green beans with chunks of ham and bacon folded in. Sandwiches are spot on, and they put together a great prime rib french dip. Portions are huge regardless of what you order… It’ll defiantly have you wondering if maybe it was a bad idea that you skipped off your 21st century nutrition plan. But of course there’s no such thing as a bad choice… just an interesting one.
