Writing my second review bc I decided to come back even though I had bad experiences. Sadly I think the few staff members I loved are gone. Im really not sure if the new male staff are sharp, I received a coupon in my email saying «please come back and when you spend 39.00 we will give you 20.00 gift card/​credit» well I paid the one time fee.,…again upgraded two
Levels and the male staff told me that coupon o my applied to product, clearly the coupon says otherwise, I honestly feel cheated like they were trying to just say no bc I wouldn’t argue. I really hope corporate actually reads these, also the gold level beds are night and day in Santa Monica vs weho, weho actually has the beds they describe on their website, sm does not. Anyhow once again I’m disappointed with the staff.

Been going to this salon and it’s awesome! The staff is super helpful and welcoming. The salon is clean and the beds are awesome! I would recommend it to everyone!!!

NEGATIVE 10 stars — These people are crooks — DO NOT give them your credit card. They charged my card for a few months before I noticed — charges reversed and then waited a couple of mi the and charged my card again. When Wells Fargo called them the hung up on them twice! Do not support a business of thieves!!!

Brittany, the front girl (she was nice though) was trying too hard to charge me miscellaneous fees when I only wanted to pay for one gold session.
They just lost a client. I was a member. Cancelled due to a trip to Europe and wanted to try it out again.
I saw the recent reviews and now I understand why it gets bad reviews. Too bad it was very convenient.

The girl was passed out in the employee room which you could see into. Could not wake her up. CAme back an hour later and she kept forgetting to sign people in etc. Don’t go to work that hungover.

Great staff. But, wait times are lengthy if you spray tan.

I give this company zero stars. Make sure you get physical copies of what you sign or they will screw you over. I wanted one tan. Ok ok after the strong pitch I took the monthly. I canceled on the 29^th of Feb. I was charged March 1. They say I signed docs that state cancels must be by 25^th… but they don’t give you that paperwork. As well the person working that I asked to cancel me on the 29^th never mentioned the 25^th, or what the corporate office states, that they need a signature… but now corporate says they canceled me for april 1,…but I didn’t sign anything… so which is it??? Very shady. Going to BBB and contesting charges. Ridiculous. Please check my other reviews. This is first negative one i have ever left.

This is by far my favorite tanning salon the staff were extremely helpful and friendly! The salon was very clean and I felt very comfortable! I would recommended this tanning salon to everyone!

I’ve been to many Palm Beach Tan locations across Texas, Oregon, and California and I have to say this one is probably my least favorite. I’ve never received any good deals, promos, freebies like these other reviewers talk about. The beds are clean on the part you lie on, but if you look up on the underside of the top (where you pull the bed down over you) it’s full of greasy, lotion prints. Two beds don’t have the head rest which is a bit annoying, and a few of the girls have attitudes. I came in and asked about the stay and save vs the membership pricing because of my frequency tanning, and the girl I asked was very annoyed with me, didn’t tell me the prices and continues to be very short and rude every time I come in. I left my number and asked if she could get back to me with pricing when she gathered the info, but it’s been 3 months and I haven’t heard anything. There was a time when I waited outside for 15 mins for them to open the doors when they should have been open 30 mins prior to me getting there, but the girl was late to work and proceeded to have an attitude. I come here because the next closest one is about an hour away so I don’t have a choice. I’ve considered switching to other tanning salons in the area but their memberships are a bit strange. Frankly, I pay a lot of monkey every month for below sub par service. The least they could do was update their website to reflect their real store hours vs me driving all the way over to find out they are closed.

Good place to tan

Palm Beach Tan is the 3^rd ownership change in this exact location. I have been tanning at this location for over 10 years and EVERY single time there has been an ownership change, something happens to my account and the credits I had in the system!!! This is a very convenient place for me to start a base tan once or twice a year before I go on my vacations and I am saddened to say that I will NOT return to this new ownership and here’s why.
A week or so ago, I went in to start my tanning and was told that I only had a few dollars on my account and there should’ve been a couple of hundred. When I explained what I paid for and that there was a mistake, I was informed that I had to deal with the previous owners and that PBT can do nothing for me! I also explained my history and how long I have frequented this location throughout the different ownerships, the management’s response was again to deal with the previous owners.
In my experience, CUSTOMER SERVICE goes a long way to help create and engage a longtime customer. Unfortunately, the management team would rather pass along the problem to the previous owners and not deal with or accommodate anything!!! Now I have to go and find a new location who values my business.

This place is great. Clean. Friendly staff. Great beds. Ive been coming for the last month and I’m finally seeing some color. The only thing I would have to say bad is that they have a 24 hour policy. Which means… You have to wait a full 24 hours to tan again. Other than that, this place is great!

I love this place and the girls are super sweet at this location! I had been with darque tan before this company had bought them out. I have also been to other locations with the new management.
The one on wilshire is a little pushy with sales but overall I love the deal on spray tans this place has to offer. Can’t beat unlimited spray tans with there mystic tan. They revamped their machines and the spray looks natural! Which makes me super happy! :) if you are looking for a new place in the area, I highly recommend this place!

I have gone from ghostly white to golden brown in just a few weeks. Palm beach tan is clean, the staff are extremely friendly and have upgraded and downgraded my membership on request. I would recommend pbt on Main St to all my friends and family.

Do not expect to be treated very nicely by the front desk staff, impersonal and rude; I think they forget that this is a customer service based business. I would also like to point out that we live in Southern California and have Multiple options of studios. I would like to say thank you to the very nice girl I spoke to at 8:34 am this morning. She was warm and friendly and honored a radio commercial I heard. The funny part is I really was going to purchase a month membership after my free trial. Now I will only be using the 4 free days and taking my business to a company that understands customer experience matters. I work in the service industry as well and will be telling everyone I know not to go to your establishment.

Great location right in Venice – nice and clean and friendly staff. Come by during one of their specials for great tanning.

The staff is always so helpful and knowledgable about the beds and products. There is always so kinda of membership benefit or promo going on and they have a good variety of lotions!

Friendly front customer service. Knowledgeable and accommodating. Would definitely recommend. Clean facilities. Good energy when walking in. Did the trail membership/​promotion. Even though it was basically free, they still treated me with respect.

Absolutely love the girls that work here! So knowledgeable and nice! Normally I do the bed then go into the spray and the entire time is soooo relaxing! From the time you walk in until the moment you walk out, the experience is amazing. When I first came in, I just wanted to be tan for a christmas party, then once I tried out the «diamond bed» I knew I wanted to come back! So I talked to the ladies about what the best option would be so I could come back a few times a month without having to pay the full price every single time and I became a member! woo! I’ve been back almost every day since and it is safe to say I am hooked! This place is definitely a must try! If you are looking for a place to relax and get super tan, I suggest coming here!

HOW DARE YOU charge my debit card $ 80 a month since May when I went in ONE TIME for ONE SESSION before a photoshoot and SPECIFICALLY said I did NOT want a membership because I was leaving town for over a month immediately after that!!!
i just discovered these charges now! Almost $ 500 in 6 months!!! INSANE.
I am filing a claim with my bank as I type and I will NEVER step foot in there again. I NEVER wanted a membership and never was given any paperwork or receipts stating that I had signed up or agreed to pay for such. Terrible!
