The place was good, attended 13 sessions and improved, however stopped going after I found out that I owed $$$. Their billing services is extremely slow and late. I received a bill 3 months later and not impressed by that. That was not very professional in my view. Then my pain came back which made me unhappy, so still paying the bills and the pain. So be aware Unilocalers ;)

Highly recommend Advocate PT. The staff are friendly and work to make your experience helpful. Dr Josh is well versed in his vocation. He explains things in easy to understand terms. He willingly explores more than the initial diagnosis to ensure treatment is addressing the injury. I have experience great relief on more than one issue.

I met Dr. Josh when I attended one of his seminars on back pain. I called his office the next day and was pleased to get a same day appointment. We discussed my problem and he did a thorough examination. Afterward he told me what he thought was causing the pain and that he did not think it was caused by my RA but rather by not lifting items correctly and doing my exercises incorrectly. He manipulated my back which together with the new exercises has decreased the pain level considerably. It was nice to have a full 45 minute session with a physical therapist and not be passed off to an aide. Dr. Josh was charming and receptive to my comments and physical complaints. As this is a chronic problem, I will be seeing him again when my back acts up.

I’ve been having off and on shoulder pains for the past couple of years. Every few months, my shoulder will get inflamed and I’ll be unable to move it. It finally came to a head when I had to take a day off work because I couldn’t move my arm without crying.
I got an appointment with Dr. Josh and was really surprised that it wasn’t like any other medical appointment I’d had. I never felt like he was brushing me off or dismissing what I felt. (Unlike my GP who just told me not to move my arm like that!!)
He really worked on assessing the issue and making sure I understood what was going on. He explained that it looked like I had inflamation and my body was trying to protect me — resulting in extreme pain when I tried to move.
After stretching it out and showing me some stretches (and icing) I should be doing at home, Dr. Josh suggested I begin doing some exercises to strengthen the area. Over a few treatment sessions he showed me how to push myself and how to get some muscle mass back. It wasn’t always painless, but it was a step up from crippling pain.
Thanks to the whole team! I’ll be going back for certain if I have another injury.
