Business Owner

Erika Harding is the owner of ArchiTexture, a full service day spa and salon with art gallery, located in midtown Ventura. She is a stylist with almost thirty years’ experience in the trade.

In addition to her extensive experience as a hair stylist, Harding has also worked as a make-​up artist, educator, and platform artist. Currently, she is part of the GHD Directive Team. Harding’s resume also includes providing hair and makeup for various fashion and bridal shows as well as for independent films and print photo shoots for publications. Harding served as a hair stylist with Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios, part of Fashion Week L.A. as well as Miami Fashion Week. Her expert opinion has been cited as a source in trade publications including Salon News.

Harding has a diverse clientele, including many regional political movers, shakers, entertainers and musicians, and thinkers as well as your next-​door-​neighbors.

I have major anxiety when it comes to getting my hair done. I don’t let just ANYONE do my hair. But Jen Bays? I let her do whatever she wants. And I’m always SO happy with the results. I always feel beautiful when she does my hair. She really has a knack for picking the perfect color and cut for people. I assure you will be more than satisfied!!! Hit her up!!!

Great facial from Erica Waugh, very relaxing and knowledgable about skin care. I loved the products she used and the environment was warm and welcoming. She also did my eyebrows and they are the best they have ever looked. I highly recommend Erica if you are looking for an Esthetician.

Erika and her team could not be more amazing. The aerialists at The Aerial Studio recently performed their annual cabaret style dinner show. The make-​up artists/​stylists at Architexture transformed them into exoctic and gorgeous circus creatures. The Architexture hair and make-​up team were fast, professional, and a delight to work with. They listened to each performer as he/​she described the character they would be performing, and then they worked their magic. Every performer was thrilled with the results. These stylists are so creative and very, very capable. The beutiful hair and make-​up they provided gave us all the more confidence to wow the audience! THANK YOU ARCHITEXTURE!

I have been going to Steph for over 6 years now. Even when I moved out of the area, I would drive two hours to get a trim from her. She’s a hair wizard and the queen of balyage/​ombré. Not only can she give you EXACTLY what you’re looking for, but she can also help you figure out what you didn’t even know you wanted with amazing results. Like a therapist for hair. I get compliments from strangers all the time and don’t trust anyone else with my hair. Go to Stephanie at Architexture — you won’t regret it!

Architexture hits the mark and then some. Why can’t every salon be like this? I love that the stylists are passionate about what they do. I see Jess and she is literally excited every time I sit in her chair. It’s hard to find someone who is great with curly hair, let alone short curly hair, and she can’t wait to get her hands on it. She has the best intuition and makes me look like a star every time I see her. They do such a great job making it comfortable and inviting. I love sitting on their amazing patio sipping coffee while I’m waiting for my color to do its thing. It feels more like being at a friends place than a normal salon. If you want a genuinely great experience, I would recommend stopping in.

Val is my stylist and I just LOVE her! She seems to know exactly what I want, and she is very detailed. You can tell she has a lot of passion for what she does. The new space is really cool and has a good vibe. The whole crew is really nice. They have a huge pretty patio outback. Love this place thank you!

Stephanie is so amazing with my hair. I know everyone says that, but you really can get a bad cut and your hair takes forever to recover. Ever since I have been coming to Stephanie my hair is beautifully healthy and grows fantastically. She is great company, ALWAYS cheery, and makes my hair look so good I am constantly getting compliments. I won’t ever go anywhere else.

I have been going to Stephanie DeSoto for many years because she is wonderful at what she does and she is an equally wonderful person. She has taken my hair from blonde to black, from pixie cut to long with layers, and everything in between and I am always satisfied with the result. I trust her completely with my hair (and my husband’s hair). She is also the perfect amount of funny, kind, and professional. I highly recommend her to everyone.

I have been going to Stephanie for years and don’t trust anyone else with my cut or color. I never have to worry about her taking off too much when I only ask for a trim, but the times I have lopped it off I was hardly nervous because I knew she’d do perfect! Stephanie is the Ventura Ombré queen, although I usually have her give me a gorgeous violet/​black. I’ve seen her work and am always impressed. I constantly refer people to her. She will come in early, and stay late, just to make her clients happy. Other top stylists make their clients wait months if not YEARS for an appt (seriously), while Stephanie’s outlook is to cater to her clients so we can have perfect hair at all times, not just a few times a year ;) I highly recommend her. And the new spot is gorgeous!

There’s no review high enough for the salon, and specifically its owner, Erika Harding. Erika has worked very hard to be where she is and she takes her customers’ needs seriously. Whether it’s someone that walks in with their hair burned, or simply an usual cut. she puts her time and thorough dedication into it. I’ve been her client for over 25 years and have followed her from TO to Studio City and Ventura. She does my highlights so natural that people can’t tell, she does an amazing job at Brazilian Keratin Treatments and her makeup ideas are simply superb. I will never change hair stylists.
