We have a list of addresses that you can driveby and look at how nice these windows look installed. Also, we have a list of very satisfied customers.

At CJ Windows, we have always put quality first. We refuse to cut corners in order to beat the competitions prices, as have some of the other window companies. We follow the AAMA certification guidelines for all installations. AAMA is the American Architectural Manufacturers Association, which is the source of performance standards for the window replacement industry. Cutting corners to cut prices means poor craftsmanship and cheaper materials. The results are possible leaks, unsightly trim and caulking. We use high quality material.

History

Established in 1987.

Curt is a general contractor by trade starting the business in 1987 as CJ Construction.

He started replacing windows in 1990 basically when the first retro fit window was developed.

We opened our own store in 1998 as CJ Construction Window Store.

We have been dealing with Anlin Industries since 1998. We believe in the Anlin product, warranty and service… that’s the reason we do not carry any other windows.

My name is Charlotte James, wife of Curt James.

We are a family owned business. I run the office and Curt does all the measuring, bidding and installing.

People ask us how we can live and work together? Well, that’s simple… I try and sell enough windows so he’s out in the field all day… just kidding. We have a great relationship, we try and keep business in the office.

Curt, his wife and his crew are fantastic. Not only are they personable and professional, they are on time, keep their word and get the job done in a timely fashion.
I appreciated how Charlotte kept me posted about the delivery of the windows and scheduling of the installation.
Curt and his guys are all very friendly, careful on the job and trustworthy to leave them alone in the house while I went to work. When finished, they left my house spotless without a trace of dirt or mess. They even came back for some touch up that needed to be done.
The price is reasonable and worth every penny.
Too bad that there are not more stars to give to them.

We recently had our old windows replaced by CJ Windows and they provided a great service experience. Their product is better than what the «big box» stores offered and at a better price. They are true pros, no mess, no fuss, everything done on schedule as promised. Curt and Charlotte are the best, you can’t go wrong with CJ Windows.

We were so overwhelmed when trying to find the right contractor… it’s a big decision! We could not be more pleased with the end result! Curt, Charlotte and their team were extremely professional, very careful & respectful of our belongings and were very communicative which was very important to us! They were extremely tidy and you would never have known they were here. They started and finished on time and everything was perfect! We had 18 windows and 2sliding doors replaced about 3 weeks after our home was painted and there was not one area that didn’t look perfect when they were finished. HIGHLY Recommend!

Working with CJ was a pleasure from start to finish. Their bid was very competitive, their work was flawless, and they were a pleasure to deal with from day one. We threw a few challenges to them in the way of some window replacements that were difficult at best, but they rose to the occasion, and did a superb job.

We highly recommend CJ Windows! This awesome duo and their team made everything so pleasant and easy for us, from getting the quote to installation day. After a short conversation with Charlotte, I knew I wanted to go with them; she was not only quick and easy to reach, but was very personable and trustworthy. Curt and his crew were the same way — super friendly and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. They did outstanding work and left my house/​yard cleaner than when they found it! They love dogs too ;) We love our new windows and are thrilled to have found such quality people and a quality company!!!

Wow — we are so thrilled that we found CJ Windows on the internet before we went with someone else! We had 3 estimates from companies that advertise heavily. Apparently all of those advertising costs are passed on to the consumers. We did learn that we wanted Anlin vinyl windows because their features, in our minds, made them quite superior to Milgard. We thought we’d made our decision but then discovered CJ’s and decided to get one more estimate. We were shocked when they were $ 3,500. less! But we think, as lovely as a $ 3,500. savings is, the best part about CJ’s is the people. Curt and Charlotte are probably 2 of the nicest people who have ever walked on this earth. We loved that Curt was there all 3 days installing windows and supervising his helpers. So much nicer than a crew being dropped off. It was a pleasure having them in our home and we totally trusted them when we weren’t there. Our windows are gorgeous and they cleaned up better than I would have done myself. So save yourself a ton of money and get to know Curt and Charlotte — I’m sure you’ll be as happy as we are!

The BEST service and quality of window and patio doors EVER!!!
CJ Windows put windows and patio doors in my parents home, my in-​laws home and now my home. I knew what I was getting but after having 22windows and 3 patio doors installed by Curt myself I felt compelled to write a review.
This company, professionalism and level of service is top notch. Charlotte was always readily available to communicate about our project and Curt and his crew worked meticulously to install our windows. They were in my home for 4 days straight and you would never know they were here. The window and doors looked amazing and my home was taken care of as it it was their own.
If you are looking to replace your windows and patios doors you can stop your search… CJ Windows is the company to do it with a 5 star quality product.

I’d like to start out by saying I’ve never had my windows done by CJ Windows, but if I needed any of their services, I would definitely go with them.
I met Curt and Charlotte James (owners of the company, whom I’ll now refer to as CC) at a Home and Garden show I worked recently. I was working as a vendor in a booth next to them for two days. I have been working Home and Garden shows for over three years, and I have to say I have never seen so many customers come up to a company, saying how much they love their work, how they recommend them to all their friends and family, and gushing at other customers also in the booth about how great they are. There were so many loyal customers professing their love for them, we started joking about how they must’ve paid them to do this. Of course they didn’t! :D There was even a couple that came that had never met CC, but had had their windows done by them while they were out of state. They came by to introduce themselves, and thank CC for the amazing work, raving about the quality of care that was put into installing their windows.
Over the two days, CC and I chatted, and they come across as HONEST, hard working, good people that you could trust to do whatever work you needed (that they provide, of course, haha). I normally don’t write reviews on services that I haven’t personally gotten myself, however, I feel that in business, one of the most important things (besides a job well done) is to feel that you have a good relationship with whom you’re doing business. People you can trust are rare, and those who aren’t just out to get your money are even rarer. CC are such people. They have built up relationships within their industry, and have an extremely loyal customer base. When most of your business comes from word of mouth, you know you must be doing something right!
But hey, that’s just my opinion. If you have any doubts, Charlotte can provide you with a whole list of referrals, and even locations where you can drive by and check out their window work — just don’t be too creepy about it, haha!

If you are looking for new windows for your home or business and you are in Ventura or Santa Barbara county, save yourself a lot of work researching price and quality and just call CJ Windows. Look, 3 other reviewers are saying the same thing. You will not be disappointed. I can not be more pleased with Curt and and his teams work. After the installation of 12 windows and 4 Sliders and the crew left, my wife found a ruby ring on the edge of a dresser. It was not there earlier. We suspect Curt found it while working in our bedroom and placed it on the dresser where we would notice it.
He never mentioned it, but I am a happy to acknowledge his honesty here in this review.
Best price, best value, and the nicest people to work with. Wish I can give them another star.

What a great company this is. I had them put new windows and sliding glass doors in an entire apartment building one unit at a time. Curt was always on time and professional. Their work is immaculate and Anlin windows is an outstanding product. Charlotte is also easy to get in touch with and attentive to my needs. And I second that WOW! CJ Windows was just amazing. First, the windows are a top quality product. I had never heard of Anlin but I researched it and found they were superior to many well-​known brands (family owned/​American made). The bid was great so we ordered the windows. Charlotte was a dream to work with. If she is not there she is back to you within the hour. Then came the install. It was near-​perfect. There were five guys here including Curt (as in ½ of CJ). They did the entire job in 2 days and left with the house and windows sparkling. They were meticulous and professional. I am not a person who usually raves on and on but I cannot say enough good things. It was flawless and there are so few experiences that go this well I feel I need to comment.
The house is noticeably cooler (and it is so hot outside) and there is significant noise reduction. It looks so good and I just did not realize how shabby the windows looked until we got the new ones… new, fresh and a huge improvement.
If you are considering new vinyl replacement windows I suggest you go with CJ Windows. You will not be disappointed.
