Reef Ocean Resort

Great spot for a beach Vacation. The rooms are nothing fancy but they are clean. Great pool and the property is right on the beach. Many cute shops and great restaurants in the area.

We were told we had a Studio unit for our week at the beach.
We overlook a parking lot, no beach in sight.
Our unit is an old motel room that was converted by adding a fridge and a stove and a sink.
This would not even qualify as an efficiency in my book. It was not accurately posted by RCI photo.
The staff may be nice but they are in accurately leading people to their facility.
I hope the beach is awesome because I won’t be hanging out in my motel room. This RCI rating is a joke.
As disappointing as our RCI unit was I must compliment Regina and Cheryl who work in the office. Regina was able to set us up in an owner rental unit.
One bedroom overlooking the pool and Ocean! Much nicer than the converted motel room we were booked into with RCI.
Pool is pleasant and the ocean is literally a few steps away. Our balcony is nice for breakfast and getting out of the sun for an afternoon read or lunch!
I am now a happy camper!

Consists of a number of units located in three separate clusters ranging from studios to two bedrooms. All units feature complete kitchens. Rooms are clean with plenty of towels and soaps including kitchen and beach/​pool towels? This comes in handy as the resort has a nice size pool and jacuzzi and is located right on the beach. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful with suggesting places of interest around the area.
There is a restaurant located on the premises with outside seating which serves a decent fair according to my partner, I never ate there. If you are in a bottom floor unit there may be an issue with noise from the outdoor crowd. We never experienced a problem on the second floor falling asleep to the sound of the surf from the beach.
Vero Beach is a small quiet community with lovely tree covered lanes perfect for that morning jog before breakfast. There are a number of restaurants, coffee shops for that morning latte and stores if shopping is your thing.

From the year I was born until this year (33 years later) I have had nothing but great times here. We now live about an hour and half away, but it seems like another world here. LOVE Vero and LOVE Reef Ocean forever!

The Reef, as it is known to north-​easterners and mid-​westerners who have stayed there with families for decades, offers old-​Florida charm that you won’t find anywhere further South — it is the last frontier of quiet beachfront relaxation. The sea turtles who lay their eggs here must agree.
The Reef is not the Ritz, and doesn’t pretend to be, but it is a place where you can still find affordable accommodations steps from the beach. Recently, more polished operations have moved in, including the Vero Resort and Club directly next door, and Costa d’Este a little further South. Both are more modern but less personable and don’t have the charm and «everybody knows your name» feel of the Reef.
All the rooms, even the smaller studio units, have full kitchens with full sized ovens and fridges. The units in the 100-​building and the 500-​building offer the best views (runner up: the 600-​building, which is often under-​appreciated). You may pay a premium for the views, but nearly hanging right over the ocean makes it worth it (views like that are not even possible at the fancier hotels in town).
Because the Reef is a timeshare, units are most often used by owners, but they are also rented on behalf of the owners by the front office. And tip: you can sometimes find discounted units for rent directly by the owner on craigslist.
Vero is not for everyone, but if you want to relax and have a beach practically to yourself instead of sweaty masses of humanity, this is one of the best remaining escapes in Florida.
