Stopped by today for lunch. I had their special habachi chicken with vegetables and white rice. It was really really tasty and the prices were great. My fiancé he’s the shrimp tempura sushi and chicken/beef combo with white rice and he enjoyed both thoroughly. We will definitely be back! Yummy

Another wonderful restaurant willing to make low-carb meals. They can make non-marinated chicken taste so good and crunchy. They even let you get double vegetables instead of rice.

A fairly new-ish lunch/dinner option that popped up in the developments that are quickly burgeoning around the Dunn Loring Metro Stop, Quickway is just that. A quick and dirty option, but there isn’t much«star-quality» when it comes to the food. I ordered one of the Hibachi rice dishes, which came with your choice of(1) white/fried rice;(2) two proteins(I chose chicken and beef); and(3) a side of veggies. Flavor-wise, I agree with my fellow Unilocal community that have noticed the similarity between Quickway’s gustatory offerings and those of a mall food court. And you really need to drown the food in the accompanying«special sauce» in order to get a flavor profile beyond salt, smoke, and grilled bits(that special sauce being a mix of kewpie mayo and sriracha, I believe). The rice and accompanying veggies were fine. They definitely provide very generously-sized portions. Word to the wise: the«steamed» veggies are also thrown on the grill, so heads up to any who prefer their veggies pristine. Overall, you get what you pay for when you come to Quickway. My food was dirt cheap(sub $ 10), and it filled me up. It was decent, but don’t expect Quickway to hold the same culinary prowess as a true Japanese steakhouse. Final tips: — They have lunch specials! — There’s also a frequent diner card

I got the beef bento with noodles at it was very good. The food is freshly mede when ordered and the sushi is ok. A lot of food for a cheap price.

If you’re looking for cheap, quick Hibachi food then this is a solid spot. As others have mentioned, the food is similar to what you’d find in mall food courts. However, it’s a great deal. The chicken lunch box only cost $ 5 during their grand opening special, 1 off normal price. It comes with your choice of white or fried rice, steamed veggies and yum sauce. It all tasted pretty decent. Chicken was lacking in flavor though and didn’t have enough sauce. Also, one of the pieces had some bone so beware.

Great food and reasonable prices! This is definitely one of my «go to» lunch options that provides quick service. I highly recommend the chicken and shrimp combo!

Got the chicken hibachi and Green Dragon roll. The chicken hibachi vegetables consisted of three broccoli stems and some cooked slice carrots. Would have liked more broccoli and no carrots. Not a big carrot fan to begin with though. Chicken was tasty and white rice was decent. I enjoyed the hibachi mayo sauce with the chicken. Great deal for $ 5 and will still be worth it at $ 6. Green Dragon roll was very good. Service was good. No line and the food was ready in maybe 5 minutes. I’ll be going back.

I found the food to be freshly prepared and the service was 5 stars. The place is super clean and ‘it is what it is’ Fast Casual Japanese Hibachi at a very affordable price. Food was tasty and we had a group of 8 and no one complained If you want high end the go to a Japanese steakhouse and spend $ 30-$ 40 a person. Just don’t knock a place for being what it is not. So you can’t compare to Sakura or Benihana Apples and Oranges:) Yes it is a mall type food court place but those places cater to a group that wants a very quick meal at a fair price.

I recommend the lunch boxes rather than the bento box as its more worth for your buck. The bento has decent vegetables, meat/seafood of your choice but apart from the sushi, the egg roll and dumplings are bland and not very good. Also, they really need to fix the lack of seasoning or sauce for their chicken, beef, and shrimp. I visited a few times and the taste was not at all there.

I’m unsure what’s going on with all the negative reviews. I had the hibachi tofu with fried rice and steamed veggies. It was really tasty and great value! You get a large amount of food. The employees are a bit informal but all very nice. Recommend for fast, filling, and good Japanese grill!

This place is 4-stars IF you stick to the right menu. Going in, I had below average expectations because I saw the menu and the pricing seemed low compared to the other places that opened in the same strip. The first time, I got the chicken bento box so I could try a few things. The spring rolls and the fried dumplings were just blah. The rice in the california rolls were mushy although that could have just been a bad batch. BUT, their chicken hibachi is called their specialty for a reason. It had good flavor and the meat was tender and the white rice was cooked well. I’ve been back a few times and have just ordered the chicken hibachi(no bento). You get a good sized portion for only $ 6($ 5 for now). Ok, the veggies can be a little bit greasy and I’ve tried the salmon too which was just ok. So stick with the chicken hibachi and when you get tired of it, you just go somewhere else but for $ 6, you can’t beat the value.

Ugh, how did this place manage to get a full storefront? This«restaurant» is exactly how some other reviewers have put it — you will enjoy it if you enjoy the places in a mall food court that serve you chicken on toothpicks as a free sample. The prices are cheap, and the quality isn’t there. The hibachi mayo sauce has way too much mayo and not enough additional flavors like other hibachi places have. The dumplings come from a frozen bag like you see at a grocery store; you get three in an order. You get no sauce, so they are dry and boring. If you order a normal entrée with rice and meat, there is good variety. However, be careful when eating — you may get inedible pieces of meat like I experienced on my most recent visit. It was gross. Also, I find the name and logo interesting — there is a QuickFire Hibachi in Alexandria, and the logo is reminiscent of Chipotle’s. Bottom line: it depends on where your priorities are. I am not a fan of fast food places similar to this one, so I am not motivated to go back and wouldn’t recommend it. However, this could be your place if you are in truly desperate need of cheap meat with rice.

My husband and I really liked their food. I got the chicken and shrimp box with fried rice and it was very good. My husband got the beef and shrimp and he said that the chicken was better. It was a little greasy but hey … we are going back again today for some more :)

It’s like Sakura, a quick habachi fast food styled place like one you see in the mall with people handing out chicken on a toothpick. This is the first I’ve seen as an actual fast food restaurant on its own. This is normally seen in the food court. I like the sushi here and the chicken and shrimp was good. The spring rolls I can live without. Wish they had soy sauce on the tables and lemons available.

If you like the slop on a toothpick that they’re always hounding you with as you walk past the food court in the mall you’re going to love Quickway! My chicken and shrimp bento box tasted like grease with a hint of soy sauce. Mmmm! Do franchise owners actually try the food before investing in some of these businesses? You really have to wonder!
