As good as it gets for home style meals that you can buy in a restaurant! We love it — my mom is from Nebraska and feels like a taste of home to her. Just read the 1 star review — it was Father’s Day so she probably did have her hands full! Bummer that it brought down the reviewer’s Father’s Day, for sure, but I will still go whenever we can.

We love Connie’s for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great service and food. Small hometown feel and cooking is delicious. Connie(the owner, chef and waitress extraordinaire) does it all. When you get your check you receive a homemade cookie(they are fabulous and different every time). The personal attention and fabulous food are hard to beat!

What a waste of my Sunday. My husband and I waited at our table for over an hour for eggs, bacon, and pancakes that never came. The restaurant was busy and the cook/owner was way behind and disorganized, but tables were still being sat and their sign spinner on the corner was still bringing in more people. As another table left hungry, our server pulled down what she thought was their ticket, but was really ours, making things worse. Finally we asked for some toast or something to tide us over and the server said she couldn’t touch anything until the cook/owner said she could. That was the final straw, we walked out starving.

My mom recommended this place to me, so on Sunday we walked in and gave it a try. I was wonderfully surprised! The place is small, quaint and tucked away and the food was fantastic. I ordered the Melrose omelette and it was delicious. My mom got the French Toast and it was good as well. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and had a family-owned-feeling to it, which I like. It’s off the beaten path which made it quiet and warm for breakfast, another thing I like. The staff was great and the food came out piping hot and full of flavor. I will definitely be back here and can’t wait to bring friends from out of town who are looking for a good breakfast spot.

Very humble looking restaurant and very heart warming waitress. The food is by far some of the most flavored food I have eaten in a while. Definitely would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some good food to try.

This place was great! My mother in law is vegan and gluten free. Connie knew exactly what she needed and made her a hash brown concoction with lots of veggies. If you can make my MIL happy with food, cuz usually it’s just salads, then you get a 5 star in my book! The food was awesome! Great little ‘mom and pop’ joint! Thank you Connie for making us feel at home! Everything was cooked to perfection!

The first time I came here I ordered a simple cheese omelette to-go. More recently I took the time to come in and sit down for a leisurely brunch and I am so glad that I did. This time around I chose the Lulu’s Benedict and could lot have been more pleased. The yolks were perfectly poached, all the veggies were well seasoned and fresh and I must admit, this may have been the best hollandaise I’ve ever tasted. It had the perfect ratio of butter, lemon and cayenne and was creamy and unbelievably decadent. The ambience is intimate and very homey and with the kitchen in view, it almost feels like you’re in your mothers house. I’m already planning a return trip ASAP!

In town for a softball tournament and was looking for a bfast joint nearby and Connies came up on Unilocal. So glad we came here! It’s a small place, lucky for us there was a vacant table. It got really busy immediately(sign of yumminess). Food was great and cheap! Plus, we got free amazing home made cookies! Would definitely recommend.

We found this restaurant by accident, and what a wonderful accident it was! The food was delicious, the servers friendly and I can’t wait to go back again. They gave us free cookies with our bill and that alone was a sign of caring about customer satisfaction. I’d highly recommend this restaurant!

Connie’s is one of those places you always search for and rarely find. The feeling I get walking in there is great. The food is wonderful and Connie and Tina are a real joy to be around. We always feel like family when we go in there and get treated the same. Not like one of those dysfunctional families that that throws things and screams… No, a real family that cares for each other and gives each other great food. Except I don’t have to give food, Connie gives the food and doesn’t make me feel guilty for not bringing anything. I sometimes have to pay money for the food, but sometimes you have a loser uncle who always comes by the house wanting money as well, so its no biggy, you get used to it. The location itself is awesome and a close distance from the house, so very convenient and safe. Sometimes I arrive to find Connie’s car in my parking spot and I have to go inside and complain and ask why my name hasn’t been painted on the curb yet but its not a big enough issue to take away a star for it. I just have to walk five more feet. Now that I think about it, I wish they had one of those little microphones that you could talk into from your car and someone swoops by on roller skates to deliver your food. I would give 6 stars for that. The prices are reasonable. We feed our whole family for 20 bucks not including the cat and don’t feel like I need to take out a second mortgage on the house just to eat there like most places in the area. If you can read you will enjoy all the humorous quotes on the walls. They serve to add a fun flavor to the atmosphere and will keep you occupied for at least 10 minutes or 20 if you read slow. Before you know it your food has arrived and you will be so impressed with the taste of the food that you will forget what you just read and it will be just as enjoyable to read it again after the meal. All in all, Connie’s is a wonderful place to eat food and enjoy good company. We love it and know you will love it to, except for that one grouchy person on Unilocal who hates everything. The End — Lets go eat!

Great food. Fair prices. Friendly service. I tried out this place because it’s close to home and has other great reviews. My friend I went here for breakfast after our morning walk and the food was delicious! Plus, great service — even with only 1 person handling the whole place. I definitely recommend it!

Wow I almost hesitate to post this — only because I don’t like to stand in line when I’m hungry. This is a great little spot and Connie is a sweetheart. I was right that was a very tasty western omelet. And to top it off every meal comes with a cookie! Today’s cookie is maple-bacon-chocolate! Score! I’ll definitely be back. If you see me — can I cut in front of you to get fed? Thanks.

Grabbed BF here with my co worker because of the good reviews. It’s a cute little place. The only lady working there who I assume is the owner was super nice & friendly. Food was good & really cheap too. She even gave us free cookies with our bill. They were amazing. They were mint chocolate & orange I believe. Can’t wait to go back!

The apple cinnamon french toast was a glorious epicurian creation. Connie hit it out of the park on that one. Omelette was awesome, especially with rye toast. Want cozy, mom’s kitchen dining? Join Connie! You will be amazed! Then with the check you get her complimentary cookie of the day. We got a special Snicker Doodle. A glass of milk and a dozen I would have been in cookie heaven. So good 2 days ago had to go back for more delicious food. I had the Bacon Benedict and my wife had the Avocado Benedict. Both were very yummy! If we didn’t have to go back to Sacramento we would go back again. And the cookie of the day was to die for.

Base upon several Unilocal reviews my boyfriend and I wanted to try Connie’s for breakfast. I must say, the reviews did not disappoint! Cute little place. Several regulars gave us good pointers as to the menu. We had the apple pie French toast and blueberry pancakes special. DELICIOUS. If I could have French toast this way all the time, life would be grand. The blueberry pancakes were fluffy and with large fresh blueberries. Prices were very good. Have spent more at I hop for mediocre food. Best of all Connie served home made cookies with the check. Nice way to pay you bill. Will definately be back!

Had read recent reviews and seen the sign spinner so was excited to finally get a chance to eat at Connie’s. At Connie’s everything is made from scratch and by Connie with a few exceptions. I choose to come around 10 a.m. on a Tuesday, a little brunch but really a second breakfast(I eat six small meals a day. Okay, you got me. Maybe small isn’t the correct adjective…) Anyway, rather than cook something for myself, I decided to give Connie’s a try. I was the only one in the restaurant so I had the place to myself and Connie served me. Appreciated that there are a booths as well as tables. I’m a booth person — generally need the extra room for all the food. The breakfast special was Strawberry & Blueberry French Toast for $ 8.95 and the lunch special was ½ grilled ham & swiss, tomatoe on rye with soup or salad for $ 5.95. While I love a good deal — $ 5.95 for lunch, I can’t resist a french toast. But instead of getting the special I went with the Apple Pie French Toast: french toast with sauteed cinnamon apples and 2 slices of bacon for $ 8.95. The Apple Pie French Toast is made from 2 large 1″ thick slices of cinnamon strudel bread(from a local bakery) sliced in half slathered with a heavy layer of cinnamon and sauteed apples. The bacon was crispy yet tender. Service was great. Connie was super nice. And with every check you get a homemade cookie. Mine was heathbar. I’ll definitely be back.
