I went to see Dr. Cuellar because of my reflux/​GERD issues and thanks to his advice and medication I am doing great now. He was recommended to me by a friend who had seen him for hemorrhoid and intestinal problems and he did some procedures on her and resolved them. I appreciate his honesty and sense of humor, but he is also very compassionate. I really trust him and would definitely recommend him to anyone.

I’m not sure how to rate this doctor. He gets 5 stars for being thorough but his bed side manner at least with me was 1 star. I’m going through a hard time with stomach issues after having heartburn to begin with than seeing a Medical doc who also practices naturopathy in Encinitas which had me do a parasite cleanse– which I never should have because now my stomach is constantly hurting — but this gi doc wasn’t warm to me, he instead insulted natural medicine (which I understand is his opinion) and than basically treated me like nothing was really wrong w me. Not to mention, he rushed me out of the office– I had to ask for stool cultures and blood tests :(. But at least I got them. I went to this GI doc a long time ago when he was in Encinitas and he was awesome than. Maybe he was having a bad day today? Or maybe he hates holistic medicine? I’m not fond of the holistic side being I’m in pain now from the cleanse– so I understand his view– but he could have been kinder to me. I’m having a hard time even eating right now :(

Dr Cuellar is a wonderful doctor. He is a nice guy with a good sense of humor. He will totally put you at ease when you reach the magical age of needing a colonoscopy. My first one was about 5 years ago with him and now I’m back as I’m trying to be good and do so every five years. I love his new office. His website is
