M O Café and Grill is another of the great BYO restaurants at the Ritz Center in Voorhees that never fails to satisfy no matter how many times I frequent. Not that I’m trying, but I just cannot seem to ever catch chef and owner Michael O’Mara off his game. He favors classic American fare with a twist: braised short ribs with lentils or center cut pork chops with apples, PLUS the space itself is welcoming and warm, always with a movie playing and wait staff who remember your name and try to get you out of there in time for the movie you’re seeing in less than two hours. Here in the suburbs we don’t have many of those neighborhood haunts that we’d visit three times per week or stop by just to say hello. I mean, we have a few dive bars(Jay’s Elbow Room in Maple Shade is about the BEST), but for the most part, its all about the chain restaurants and big box stores. Its nice to know that there’s such a place as M O Café and Grill. How many canned TGI Friday’s menus can we look at?
