While this place has some interesting healthy options, the customer service needs lots of improvement. Between here and GNC, I would definitely choose GNC. Being more friendly, dedicated, genuine and reliable will make it worth the time to revisit. Until then, good bye!

They won’t match online competitors proves and are way more expensive. So I won’t return here.

You are in for a friendly experience at Super Supplements. I love the knowledgable staff at this location. They are always helpful or willing to find information on which coconut oil tastes best or if hemp seed is better stored in the frig or in the cupboard. They carry a lot of brands that I trust and seem to have very reasonable prices. I don’t take vitamins but I do use their homeopathic meds, herbs, teas, etc. They have plenty of parking in this convenient location on 15^th so there is no excuse to not make this a part of your healthful shopping!

There is absolutely NO customer service here. I’ve never been to a store where the staff is so rude to their customers. No hello when I said hi walking in and they just looked at me. I asked for help looking for a homeopathic and the guy who «helped» me just tossed it on the counter in front of me with an attitude instead of setting it on the counter or handing it to me like a good staff member would.
I realized the people working here also chat a lot with each other rather than helping customers out. I live 5min away, never coming back. I’ll drive out to the one in Shoreline, WAY better customer service there, they treat you like a human.

I generally invest my money in businesses that actually benefit the planet or customers, but I needed a couple of items immediately that I couldn’t find at my local co-​op, so headed to this store instead. Here’s the general sense one gets at this store: first, I wasn’t greeted when I entered the store. Strike one. Second, I noticed a general lack of trust of the customers (they follow customers around like they’re going to steal something, and have multi-​view cameras tracking people’s every move in the store). The employees also spend more time at the checkout counter socializing with one another rather than helping customers find things.
But here’s where I have my biggest beef: I had looked up some items on their website to get an idea of how much money I would be spending, so was shocked when I made my purchase and discovered that each and every item I bought was well over the price of the item online. The worst offender, my son’s multivitamin, was 33% cheaper on their website! When I inquired why there was such a price discrepancy, I was informed that the online store had less overhead (rent, employee costs, etc.) which would make perfect sense if IT WASN’T THE SAME BUSINESS. As a former business owner myself, I’m well aware of the fact that Super Supplements «greed model» of doing business just doesn’t work well when it comes to supporting customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Had I never walked into the store and instead ordered online, I would have saved more than $ 20. It just doesn’t make sense that one business has two different price structures depending on how you choose to shop. The only consolation I was offered was to order online and have my order shipped to the store. How ridiculous is that solution? Why wouldn’t I just have it shipped to my front door? Needless to say, my dollars won’t be wasted here again. I’d much rather support PCC and Whole Foods, even if I do spend a little bit more at the register.

They have a great variety of vitamins but I believe the «NOW» brand has the best prices.
However, don’t forget to check their prices online. 9 times out of 10 you’d be saving at least 20%-50%!
Order online and have your supplements delivered at the store. just sayin’ :)

Every time I’ve gone in here, I’ve been asked every three minutes if I needed help with anything, and have been tailed closely by staff (yes, in such a small space they feel the need to stand right behind me to make sure I’m not stealing anything). It’s extremely impolite and invasive.

Now, I don’t know a whole lot about supplements, nor am I one of those that take 15 different kinds of supplements everyday, which is fine, because the folks at Seattle Supersup are knowledgeable and always steer me in the right direction.
It really depends on whom you talk to. I’ve read reviews about salesmany techniques — NEVER encountered it myself. On the contrary, the people I’ve spoken to always steer me towards less expensive options for the same product.
In fact, I’d once purchased a bottle of multi-​vitamins for women and the cashier opened up the package to take out a $ 1 off coupon, which she used when I checked out. This is service above and beyond, in my book. I could’ve just gone home, opened up the box myself, and found the coupon, not blaming the cashier for not letting me know about it. (Cuz how many of us have encountered service people like that?)
Prices are great and there is a good enough selection for my needs. There are also monthly specials on certain brands, so be sure to go often. Day after Thanksgiving there’s an extra 15% + off deal upon check out (it’s like a scratch and win and minimum discount is 15%).
My only gripe about this particular location is that it’s quite tiny, and being that it’s busy all the time, I have to navigate the narrow aisles to get from one place to another. That’s why I go to the North Seattle location on Aurora, if I can.

I recommend Seattle Super Supplements, where I have shopped for over 25 years. In fact, I have started to use their online store because they have so many excellent brands and choices that I get overwhelmed (OCD) when I go into the store. For Price, they rotate specials every month, several top flight brands on discount usually in the 30−40% range. My current store is on Aurora Ave near N 130^th street.
I can with complete confidence tell you that if Seattle Super Sups sells it, then it is good stuff.

Used to be my automatic «go-​to» supplement /​health store… until today: Stopped in, asked for a recommendation (they’ve been on the money in the past) and was led to some fairly expensive supplements that I felt were pretty much pushed on me. I told the clerk I’d browse a bit and decide later to relieve the pressure… then realized the boxes looked dusty and old; looked closer at the boxes: every one of the boxes on the shelf (multiple boxes) the clerk was pushing on me was expired MONTHS ago.
The expiry date is usually more than 2 years in the future, so… you’re telling me these were on the shelf for more than 2 years? Oh! Is THAT why you’re pushing them on customers now?
Now, this is the University store — one of SSS’ smallest, with high, product turnover rate (they simply don’t have much shelf space, so are constantly rotating product in and out), so I have a hard time believing this somehow escaped their attention.
Left a bad taste in my mouth; and I left the store. Mail order or the other supplement stores from now on. SSS no more, you’ve lost my trust.

The other week I went in here seeking a product I’ve purchased for years online, just hoping to get what I wanted without dealing with holiday shipping times. The employee tried to convince me that I needed a prescription for what I wanted and then tried to sell me an inferior product at an inflated price. He was adamant about needing a prescription for the original product, tried to convince me I couldn’t find it for sale in the US, and then clammed up when I explained to him my prior experience with it. I’ve only shopped here before when I needed an item immediately, and even then the prices were quite obviously cheaper elsewhere. I don’t need to deal with car salesman techniques or prices. I won’t be going back here.

I work with a bunch of MDs who would probably laugh at the fact that instead of taking loratidine i go for a tincture of nettles (for allergies). Sudafed? nah i’ll take the oregano oil and zinc please. I’ve found the staff here to be a lot more helpful than the ones you find at Vitamin Shoppe and other chain health stores. You can’t really beat the prices here either.

They have a little bit of everything when it comes to vitamins, herbs, supplements, protein powder, and all natural products. I’ve done some comparison to Whole Foods, PCC, etc. and they tend to be a bit cheaper overall. The staff and nice and quirky but helpful when you can hunt them down. There never seems to be enough staff to answer the questions of all the customers so you have to wait. All the supplement stores I’ve been to seem the same.

This place has a lot of supplements. It is like a supplement warehouse though, that is about all you’ll find here. Everything seemed to be pretty normally priced. They had a huge selection though and an employee was knowledgeable and helpful when I asked questions. Good experience.

They have all kinds of vitamins, and alternative supplements, herbs, etc. I am always on a quest for something because I have chronic tension, and headaches. There are a few staff members that will look things up for me and make an extra effort to help.

If you weight train, the costs add up for muscle milk and other stuff. Go here for big savings!

Had a chance to go back in and meet the manager and his assistant. I certainly went in on a day when newer employees were there. These two are thoughtful, very nice — imagine being easy-​going and positive with someone who had reviewed them badly and complained to management! That takes maturity! I felt at ease about it as we talked. They were glad to have feedback and we moved on.
We looked at some products and talked about ingredients. They know a lot about their products and they knwo how to discuss and to look up things they don’t know.

Very nice and knowledgeable. Reasonably priced and they will give you coupons out of their ad if you don’t have one. Call ahead and they will have your order ready for pick up. A little inconvenient, at the intersection of two very busy streets (and a dreaded red light camera), along with a tiny tiny parking lot. we only go here if we haaaaaave to.
A soft spot in my belly for them since I tried my first ostrich jerky here!
Btw, grab a UW Survival Kit coupon book (out each quarter, but get them at the beginning of the quarter at the UW Bookstore) and get $ 5 off your order of $ 25, $ 10 off $ 50(?).the savings is equivalent to three ostrich jerkies. Heh.

This is a small market that mostly sells supplements for very reasonable prices.
I stopped in recently to check out what brands of supplements they carry and prices. I was impressed by the really low prices and noted some are as cheap as you can buy on line. They carry a lot of the standard brands and some (like NOW) that you can usually only find at certain health food stores and only limited choices.
The staff person was friendly and helpful in finding the products i was interested in. I did end up buying a few things since i was saving a lot of time and money. Ordering on line is fine except for the shipping cost and usual long wait time (snail mail).
I will definitely go back when in the area.

As someone on a strict budget, I am very happy with Super Supplements and grateful that a store like this exists. Saving 20, 30, 40% off of a variety of items when we have a very high supplement bill as it is, really helps!
The staff is always very friendly and knowledgable, but never gives the «hard sell» that some chain stores are known to do. They’ll answer your questions and let you make your own choices, and if asked, will even help to compare items to get you the best value for your money.
I have shopped at this location along with the one in North Seattle, Lynnwood and Kenmore and every time I have been satisfied. The only frustration has been when the items carried from one store to the next is not consistent, so you often have to rely on getting things transferred to one store or making several stops. Still, the staff is great about getting items ordered and transferred in a timely manner!
As a side note, I have brought a child with me on 2 occasions (niece) and they’ve always been quite accepting and friendly to her. If the previous reviewer has written 2 different reviews at 2 totally different stores stating their dissatisfaction and offense at workers and cashiers who ask their child not to touch or damage things that were at «eye level», maybe their child shouldn’t be touching or damaging things you do not intend to buy! It should not be the store’s responsibility to have to ask you to manage your child’s behavior.
